Chapter 64: Chapter 64: Panic-stricken Woman_1

"I have learned much, thank you for your guidance," Feiyu said respectfully.

Jun Huang is his greatest business mentor, the man he admires most.

Third Young Master’s insight, audacity, and talent always surpass his age. As expected, he is a genius figure in the financial world, and a sworn friend of the globally renowned business tycoon, Blanco Kil.

"However, Third Young Master, will Dong Changfeng not report to the old man and expose your true capabilities?"

A faintly sinister glint shone in Third Young Master Jun’s eyes. "He wouldn’t dare. I currently have a lot of damning evidence against him, enough to crush his company at any time. He can only obediently comply. Furthermore, with the shares of Nanfeng added today, I have increased my stake to 25%, making me the largest shareholder in their firm, except for his own 35% stake. If he acts foolishly, he’ll have no one to blame but himself."

Feiyu had to admit, Third Young Master was truly ruthless.

Dong Changfeng appeared to have stepped into a quagmire this time. Without the Third Young Master’s help, he had no room to resist.

The car was driving through the city. Suddenly, the vehicle came to a screeching halt.

A panicked woman had rushed out from the other side of the street, nearly getting hit. Thankfully, the driver’s decades of experience avoided a potential accident. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺

"What a woman! Looking all lost and disoriented, does she not look where she’s going? It was lucky our driver was quick," Feiyu frowned, prepared to step out of the car and assess the situation.

However, the woman didn’t even glance their way. She picked herself up from the ground and staggered to the other side of the road.

Feiyu rolled his eyes, "What an oddball. She’s already run off."

Third Young Master Jun looked up from his phone upon hearing this, observing a woman under the dim streetlight who seemed to be frantically searching for something. She looked vaguely familiar.

They had driven quite a distance before he suddenly realized - it appeared to be the woman he’d once toyed with.

Surprisingly, he’d encountered her, too, on the road.

"Ye Lu, have you found her?"

Ye Wanli was also driving around desperately when he saw Ye Lu, he hurriedly got out of the car.

Ye Lu shook her head in despair. After a full day of fruitless searching, her heart sank further with each passing moment. Fear and worry piling up inside her, she felt she was on the brink of madness.

"Dad, what do I do? I can’t find Yiyi. I can’t," she collapsed onto the ground, covering her face, as tears of panic streamed down uncontrollably.

She’d held off breaking down because her child hadn’t been found - she couldn’t afford to waste time crying.

But after so long with not a single lead, she couldn’t bear the anxiety. Where had her child gone? Who could be so cruel?

If Yiyi was taken by human traffickers, what would they do?

That child was a piece of her heart. She couldn’t imagine what her adorable child might be exposed to.

Ye Wanli frowned, wondering how Yiyi could be missing. He had mobilized many people to search for her - they had to find her.

He’d invested a great deal in nurturing that child, and hadn’t even recouped his investment. If Yiyi was indeed taken away by traffickers, it’d be a significant loss that’d be painful to bear.

"Don’t worry. Yiyi is very smart and lovely, who would want to harm her? We will definitely find her, let’s go home."

With tears blurring her vision, Ye Lu replied firmly, "I can’t go back until Yiyi is found. I’ll continue searching."

Regardless of the circumstances, as a mother, she would never give up on her child.

"How much ground can you cover alone? I’ve already informed the police. It’s best now for you to go back and provide them with all details. Trust me, they’re most likely to find her. Ye Lu, you need to think of what’s best for Yiyi."
