My Scheming Little Devil-Chapter 55 You are the Nasty Uncle_1
The thought of her attending this blind date made Shang Jingchen’s blood boil. He glared menacingly at Ye Lu.
"Now, it’s time to settle our scores!" He reached to grab her arm.
Ye Lu couldn’t help but shiver, taking a few steps back.
A cute little girl, as lovely as an angel, swaggered up to him, defiantly pointing her finger at his nose: "What’s with the intimidating attitude, you stinky old man!"
"What? You called me a stinky old man?" Shang Jingchen’s brow furrowed, wondering where this little brat had come from, daring to curse him like this. It was the first time in his life a woman had the audacity to wag her finger in his face.
What irritated him the most was being called "old man". He was so young and handsome, suave and dashing, how could he possibly look like an old man?
Was he really that old? This sharp-tongued little girl.
The little girl looked at him contemptuously: "What else should I call you then, sir? Looking at your face, your skin is losing its elasticity, if not forty, you definitely look thirty-eight. Stop trying to act young. You should be grateful I’m even calling you uncle instead of just an old man."
Her bold and immature voice echoed around the room.
Surrounding people couldn’t help but to watch the spectacle, amused by this little girl’s sharp tongue arguing with an adult.
Ye Lu was sweating bullets, looking at her own cocky little princess, blinking incessantly: Sweetheart, stop talking already, can’t you see how dark the VIP’s face has become? Are you trying to save me, or doom me?
Now she was starting to call him old man, too. This cheeky little girl was stepping over the line. Shang Jingchen clenched his teeth, raising an eyebrow: "Should I thank you for the mercy you’ve shown me with your words?"
"Of course, I have a discerning eye. Uncle, with those fine lines around your eyes, and the sagging skin, you must have had too many women in your past, haven’t you? Do you want me to introduce you to a traditional chinese doctor?"
Ye Lu felt like fainting. Offending this man like this, my baby, you really want to kill me.
Shang Jingchen’s eyelid twitched, he was speechless.
Excessive indulgence? How did this little brat even know such a term? She was very cute indeed, and at the same time, amusing.
"Where did you learn such nonsense?"
"What nonsense? I learned it from reading comics. Snots like you who are born with a silver spoon in their mouth, all you do is play women. You’re a terrible man, a very terrible man." She announced self-righteously.
Shang Jingchen’s mouth twitched, he wondered what kind of family raised such an interesting child.
He crossed his arms and suddenly felt interested in jawing with the little girl.
"Little girl, who are you? What’s your relationship with her?"
He looked up and down at the audacious little girl before him, landing on her cute and expressive face.
Those big moist eyes, the delicate brows and... he suddenly paused, staring at her blankly, she seemed to be quite similar to Ye Lu.
On the other side, Ye Lu was desperately trying to signal the little girl not to reveal who she was. Otherwise, they would be done for.
But the little girl seemed oblivious to her frantic gestures. Head held high, she announced, "She’s my mother...."
"What? What did you say?" Shang Jingchen was shocked, as if struck by a bolt of lightning, his eyes sharp as he gripped Ye Lu’s shoulder, "Say it again."
When Ye Lu heard Shang Jingchen’s icy voice, she knew it was over and started sweating profusely.
This little girl, usually bright and perceptive, why was she messing up at such a crucial time? She was going to be the death of her.
The little girl seemed completely oblivious to the chilly atmosphere, and continued leisurely:
"Old man, don’t just hear half of what I say. I hadn’t finished speaking! She is my mother’s... friend, giving me music lessons. She brought me here to play today. I was just teasing her with that blind date game."
Ye Lu’s sweat retreated instantly, she was frantically internally giving her a thumbs up. Brilliant, this little one was indeed quick-witted.
