My Players Are So Fierce – Handsome dog Frank-Chapter 1926 - 643: Tch, Like We Haven’t Been Young Before?
The battle at the Fortress of Courage continues.
The attack from the Gnolls is becoming more urgent, and the Wolf People plan to once again use their ancestral "digging tactics."
Unfortunately, because the Fortress of Courage needed to be repaired as quickly as possible, Lord Hether stationed two Earth Priests here, and the Wolf People’s tunnels were discovered before they were even 500 meters from the fortress.
Standing at the high point of the construction site on the unfinished watchtower, the two Silver Dwarf Priests cast spells together, summoning the Power of the Earth to repel the enemy, causing the Wolf People’s caves to collapse in an instant, burying hundreds of dog-legged lackeys.
But unfortunately, the Gnolls never really care about the lives of the Wolf People.
To be honest, the Wolf People themselves don’t care; they reproduce too easily, and with their low intelligence, although they have emotions, they might be too stupid to have the necessary emotional reactions to deaths in war.
As hundreds of digging Wolf People were crushed over there, the frenzied Wolf People thugs on the battlefield continued to charge forward under the command of the Gnolls, howling towards the front line.
Hog had once explained to the players that while the Wolf People are inherently cowardly, there’s a vile side to their nature. If they enter battle with their master, they become vicious and brave.
Before their masters scatter, the Wolf People can miraculously maintain their morale.
But once the Gnolls, who serve as their supervisors, are pushed back, no matter how much of an advantage they have, the remaining Wolf People will scatter in disarray.
A typical lackey personality.
The soldiers and armed workers of the Fortress of Courage have sailed the Dark Mountain Range with the Blood Covenant Knight Order for many years: they know well how to deal with hordes of Wolf People.
They pay no heed to these creatures’ wave-like charges, relying on walls and pits crafted by the Priests to obstruct the Wolf People’s advance, while wielding various firearms and explosives to fiercely target the Gnoll commanders hidden among the Wolf People.
The 30 small players stranded there quickly learned these tactics too.
However, they were too inexperienced, at an extreme disadvantage in both level and skill, and didn’t dare to recklessly charge out to duel the Wolf People. Instead, under the guidance of three Brother Ah Bings, they proactively took on logistical tasks.
The men carried ammo boxes or lugged explosive crates to the Retinue Army warriors stationed atop the tower and behind the walls. The three women, meanwhile, handled simple bandaging and bleeding control for the injured warriors.
Nova, a biologist studying insects, often led exploration teams into barren lands and therefore had some medical experience.
Ruyi, being a hacker, also had impressive manual skills.
Under Lady Judy’s direction, the two young women quickly formed a decent team, while Cowgirl Judy felt like she had suddenly joined the ranks of a Middle Eastern group of Doctors Without Borders, constantly attending to wounded warriors being brought to her. Within less than an hour, her old leather armor was stained with fresh blood.
But the good news was, Lady Judy finally learned how to use the anesthetics of this world, though the Halfling Assassin she had "tortured" to exhaustion almost threw several anesthetic devices at her pretty face through gritted teeth.
Well, these could almost be considered medical accidents. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
"Sister Judy! The front seems to be holding up!"
The tall Teslanova, responsible for transporting the wounded, rushed into the storeroom turned "surgery room." Wiping the bloodstains off her face, she shouted to Lady Judy:
"I heard those Brother Ah Bings yelling for the others to retreat. They plan to set an explosive trap there. The Gnolls and Wolf People are probably about to break in."
"What’s the rush?"
Lady Cowboy had the demeanor of a general.
She pressed the anesthetic device against the neck of a dwarf wounded by the Gnolls, injecting the anesthetic with a slap to make this "Dwarf Beard Spirit" drowsy. While helping this guy clean and suture his wounds, she said to the anxious Teslanova and Ruyi:
"You two grab guns and hold the outside. I’ll come out once I finish stitching these two guys. Take a dwarf shotgun with the largest caliber; that thing doesn’t need aiming—just pull the trigger at the enemy.
Once you’re out, follow the Brother Ah Bings’ instructions, and don’t run around aimlessly!"
"Okay, okay."
Nova immediately grabbed a trench gun, still stained with blood from the ground, and handed one to Ruyi. The tall and short girls strapped ammo pouches to themselves, gave one last glance at the busy Lady Judy, then turned and dashed out.
Inside, Lady Judy was actually quite panicked.
Though she was older and more experienced, she had never been on a battlefield! Since marrying her husband, she had been well-protected by him—let alone fighting, even a scrape was rare in her regular life, let alone this thrilling scene of being surrounded by thousands of monsters.
"Oh, my Black Heart Little Cotton Padded Jacket, whether or not I survive this wave depends on how quickly you all can come to help,"
Lady Judy sighed. Swiftly, she stitched up the dwarf’s wound and dragged the last unconscious human onto the table.
This guy was seriously injured; he had already fainted from excessive blood loss.
Clearly, just stopping the bleeding here wouldn’t be enough, but Lady Judy had no drugs on hand...
No, there were some drugs, but she didn’t recognize them and naturally dared not use them recklessly. Just as she was feeling helpless, a small bottle was tossed over from behind. Surprised, Lady Judy turned to see the Halfling Assassin she’d first "tortured," leaning against the wooden boards of the storeroom, with a loaded gun in hand.
