My Perfect Female CEO-Chapter 988: Killing with a Borrowed Knife
At this moment, Yahward was jumping in anger, his face so dark it could squeeze out murderous intent.
Kasam had pushed him to the forefront, he was furious; if he truly had the ability to command a fleet of fighter jets, it would have been like adding wings to a tiger, he would have bombed all enemies to death, and Kasam would be the first target to be eliminated, surely not only targeting Ye Fan and others, Lani might also become his attack target.
If this happens, there would only be him as the significant figure in Ba Country, wouldn’t the chaos in Ba Country be under his control, and with enough effort, it’s not impossible for him to become the head of Ba Country.
The holy war slogan he proposed would succeed, his grand plan would succeed.
But, it’s not what he did, his heart is filled with disgust, feeling wronged to death.
Especially Michael’s surrender and the huge loss, made his heart cry with blood.
"Michael, that bastard, betrayed the holy war, defected to the enemy and betrayed me, I will torture him with a thousand cuts, grind his bones into ashes." Yahward cursed fiercely, as he smashed things and stomped around. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
The few officers around Yahward were trembling in fear, not daring to breathe heavily.
"Sir, Michael holds a critical position, his defection has a major impact on us, causing irreplaceable losses to officers and soldiers alike, on top of the unstable military morale and fractured civilian support in our territory, this only adds fuel to the fire, our situation is dire." An officer said worriedly.
"I know, I know, but Michael, that scoundrel, betrayed me; I hate him, I wish I could eat his flesh and drink his blood, even that wouldn’t quench my burning anger." Yahward was going berserk, if Michael were in front of him, who knows how he would handle him, although the imagined scene would be very brutal, such a moment would never happen.
"Michael’s surrender had a significant impact, especially since all the people he took with him died, it was indeed a bad start; the impact is not to be underestimated, with so many elite units failing, it truly brings pressure." Another officer spoke.
"My most loyal warriors, my most beloved Death Warriors and junior troops, damn it, all because Michael commanded poorly, which led to the burial of so many elites, cultivating elite forces is no easy feat, losing so many at once almost breaks my heart." Yahward beat his chest and stomped his feet, his expression grim to the extreme.
An officer tentatively asked, "Sir, now that Kasam is widely promoting the narrative that the aircraft fleet was controlled by our people, Ba Country’s citizens and the Wild Alliance are bound to believe this news. Boldly asking, were those pilots really people you secretly infiltrated?"
All the officers present had this doubt, unsure if Yahward had other hidden measures hence the question.
"You fool, if I had such a force, the first person I would bomb to death would be Kasam, why would I target the Wild Alliance Headquarters, also I wouldn’t risk letting Michael attack there." Yahward pointed at the officer’s nose and scolded.
Yahward was furious, driving him into a frenzy.
He said indignantly, "I’m not afraid of the Wild Alliance’s wrath, I can handle it; the problem that enrages me is that someone is using a borrowed sword to kill, wanting to use the Wild Alliance’s blade against us, it’s too despicable, too wicked, truly hateful."
Several officers understood the situation clearly, one officer said, "Since Kasam accuses us of doing it, we should accuse Kasam of doing it. Doesn’t Kasam want to provoke the Wild Alliance against us? Fine, we will provoke the Wild Alliance against Kasam, let’s see if these two close allies will turn on each other."
"Yes, yes, yes, let’s do it; activate those lurking within Kasam’s territory, fabricate a credible narrative saying Kasam committed shameful acts against the Wild Alliance by undermining his own fortress." Yahward immediately instructed.
"Yes, yes, yes, I’ll issue the orders right away." An officer hurriedly left to contact and arrange tasks for framing Kasam.
"Who exactly was the assassin targeting the Wild Alliance Headquarters? Even if Kasam were an idiot, he wouldn’t do such a thing, and Lani couldn’t either. Could it be that there are other forces within Ba Country stirring up trouble, but even if other forces exist, they wouldn’t likely control such a combat jet fleet that Kasam personally oversees, it’s impossible." Yahward pondered, unable to understand.
He could only accuse Kasam of doing it, mistakenly striking but actually finding the true culprit.
In Yahward’s view, Kasam thought of him first, so he also thought of Kasam.
"Who dares provoke the Wild Alliance?" The officers were equally perplexed.
"Prepare for battle, if the Wild Alliance or Kasam’s people attack us, fight back fiercely. As long as we hold our ground, the future looks optimistic; after the Wild Alliance loses its leadership, it will become a scattered mess, once they find out the true culprit, their anger won’t be directed at us. The key fear is if the Wild Alliance loses its sanity and Kasam seizes the chance to attack, things could get tricky; if we withstand this storm and counterattack Kasam, it would be a perfect opportunity." Yahward issued orders.
After all the officers left, Yahward dialed Lani’s number.
"Yahward, I was just thinking of finding you, didn’t expect you to call." Lani giggled, "You made the front page, did a big job; stealthily controlling such a powerful aerial force, impressive and enviable."
Lani outwardly teased, but inside, she was deeply worried for Ye Fan’s plight.
"Lani, even you think I did it; I’ve been wrongfully accused; if I had control over such a powerful aerial force, I’d wake up laughing, the first person I’d want to eliminate is Kasam, why would I target the Wild Alliance; even if I attacked the Wild Alliance, after a successful raid, why would I let the jets return; having them fly to my territory would be great, why send them to die?" Yahward exclaimed.
"It really wasn’t you?" Lani asked skeptically.
"I made this call in hopes of confirming if it was you; I’ve been wondering if you stealthily developed so much power, then by sacrificing a combat jet fleet, forcing me to clash with Kasam and the Wild Alliance, you profit as a bystander." Yahward said, probing for information.
"You’re flattering me; I believe it’s not you." Lani, puzzled, said, "Then who did it? Kasam wouldn’t be crying thief to catch a thief."
"The waters are getting deeper and deeper, unsettling." Yahward, with a few words exchanged with Lani, was convinced she lacked the capability to pull it off.
Meanwhile, four miserable figures entered a hidden two-story building.
They were Ye Fan, Nami, Ku Eryue, and Tie Zhongshi.
At the Wild Alliance Headquarters, no one on the ground escaped, but there was an underground tunnel, enabling the four to avoid disaster.
