My Perfect Female CEO-Chapter 1027: Correcting Mistakes
On the military plane heading back to Huaxia, Ye Fan, Lu Xiangxiang, Chi Qinyuan, and Qin Yi sat in a row.
Lu Xiangxiang looked at the vast jungle below, worriedly saying, "At this moment, there won’t be any missiles rising up to shoot the plane down, will there?"
"There won’t be." Ye Fan assured confidently.
"The air of freedom is wonderful. Those days imprisoned in the dungeon by the drug traffickers were unbearable—worse than death," Lu Xiangxiang reflected with lingering fear.
"Don’t worry anymore, just rest easy." Ye Fan comforted.
"Alright, alright!" Lu Xiangxiang agreed softly and then leaned against Ye Fan’s shoulder, closing her eyes, murmuring, "I’ll borrow your shoulder for a bit, you won’t mind, will you?"
Ye Fan remained silent.
Lu Xiangxiang soon fell asleep, seemingly having a nightmare, her eyelids twitching incessantly.
"Sir, which unit are you from?" Qin Yi asked curiously, particularly puzzled by Ye Fan’s origins. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞
"I’m not from your path, nor am I your superior. You don’t need to call me sir anymore from now on," Ye Fan replied tersely.
"I admire you. You’ll always be my superior." Qin Yi stated sincerely, then glanced at Chi Qinyuan before cautiously saying, "I reckon the sir must be from the Guardian Team. Besides the Guardian Team, I can’t think of anyone else with your combat strength."
Qin Yi wasn’t at all upset by Ye Fan’s indifferent tone; rather, he seemed to enjoy it, eager to get closer.
"Guardian Team, you’re daring to imagine," Chi Qinyuan muttered in her heart, giving Qin Yi a significant look without speaking.
She knew Ye Fan’s identity, so she couldn’t help but smile bitterly at Qin Yi’s unrealistic thoughts.
"Guardian Team." The words emerged in Ye Fan’s mind, but he gave no response to Qin Yi’s question.
The Guardian Team is Huaxia’s most mysterious, unstructured unit with undetermined numbers and personnel details. Even Qin Yi and Chi Qinyuan only know a little about it. They’ve only heard of this name but have no other information, which is why Qin Yi boldly suspected Ye Fan was a member of the Guardian Team.
Ye Fan naturally knows the reputation of the Guardian Team, which is certainly among the top three across the Underworld and major countries. It’s an incredibly mysterious unit, undertaking high-risk tasks.
"Do you have any organizational discipline at all? Is the Guardian Team something you can casually mention?" Chi Qinyuan said with principle, warning Qin Yi about this query.
"I spoke without thinking, couldn’t hold back for a moment." Qin Yi quickly shut his mouth.
In silence, the plane soon crossed the border line, entering the homeland.
Sitting opposite Ye Fan and the others, Gao Mingyuan and his group only got excited at this moment.
"Finally, under the homeland’s sky; never felt before how safe it feels to return to the national airspace, making one almost cry from excitement," Gao Mingyuan and his companions couldn’t contain their joy, trembling with delight.
At a southwestern base in Huaxia, the plane landed, and the Longyin Team disembarked one after another.
"Sir, until we meet again. We hope for the chance to fight alongside you again in the future," Qin Yi saluted respectfully, with a solemn expression looking at Ye Fan.
Ye Fan nodded slightly without any tendency to express himself, while Lu Xiangxiang remained asleep on his shoulder.
Outside the plane, thirty members of the Longyin Team lined up in salute, offering Ye Fan their highest greetings.
"Whoa, who’s on that plane? The Longyin Team, always so proud and arrogant, breathing with noses in the air—how peculiar, showing collective admiration for someone external during a mission must mean there’s an important figure aboard, a skilled, competent figure," personnel around the base watched and discussed, puzzled by the Longyin Team’s behavior.
The military plane took off, ascending into the sky amidst salutes from Qin Yi and the others.
Until the plane disappeared into the sky, Qin Yi and his team finally lowered their saluting hands.
Four bodies, three of the Longyin Team’s fallen heroes, and one helicopter pilot, were laid neatly on the ground.
Qin Yi walked alone to a wide area before dialing Zhang Lu’s number, who was the commander of this operation.
"Sir, I apologize; I made a mistake, and I’m willing to accept punishment," Qin Yi spoke with respect.
Currently, Qin Yi started his apology and review mode; when Ye Fan had just arrived, he’d stirred emotions, trying to act superior in front of Ye Fan, which was not a good impression.
Though he admired Ye Fan deeply, he felt the need to report his mistake to the organization and accept consequences afterward.
"I’ve heard about it. He didn’t kill you, which was a favor to me. Let this incident go; I won’t pursue it. If you want to review your mistakes, handle them yourself, others won’t intervene. If you think you’re right, maintain your own way; I won’t bother," Zhang Lu said with each word clearly: "However, next time I see you, I’ll hit your butt making it bloom, humiliating you utterly. I emphasized enough when issuing orders, yet you stirred up your arrogance, opposing my decisions. Regret won’t find remedy here, nor reviews for mistakes."
Zhang Lu hung up after these words.
"Sir, I..." Qin Yi wanted to repent and explain further, but was met with silence from Zhang Lu’s side.
"Why am I so troublesome, such arrogance—never again shall I show off," he thought grimly, wishing he could smack himself.
Qin Yi indeed realized his fault, but Zhang Lu wouldn’t accept his mistakes, forcing him to self-reflect.
"Captain, are you alright?" Several of the Longyin Team’s squad leaders came closer, knowing naturally what the captain was doing.
"I’m fine. Once we’re back I will intensify my training and write a fifty-thousand-word review, please help me correct it and point out all my faults. I also want to self-reflect in front of everyone at the base," Qin Yi said earnestly.
"Captain, you really intend to correct your mistakes?" a squad leader asked cautiously.
"More genuine than gold," Qin Yi confirmed solemnly.
"Captain, can you manage not to spray people with saliva when disciplining in the future?"
"Captain, can you wash your underwear yourself in the future? We need to promote the tradition of self-reliance rather than forcing us to wash your underwear."
"Captain, everyone knows about your body odor. Can you shower or use perfume sometimes when we’re all together? Otherwise, it’ll affect everyone’s appetite."
The squad leaders, seeing the captain’s earnest attitude for correction, began speaking one by one.
They thought: Captain, you asked us to correct your faults, so don’t blame us—not fifty thousand, even a hundred thousand words wouldn’t be enough.
Qin Yi’s face immediately turned as black as the bottom of a pot, his lips trembling incessantly.
