Chapter 774 - 772 Dreams of Death

Watching the Demon King of Will leave, Rex thought about his dream with the Demon King of Will.

"I have to make a sacrifice. I cannot choose who I have to sacrifice in order to reach the Godly Realm. Who is the best option in your opinion?" Rex would ask the Demon King of Will.

"Shall we be serious about this or not?" The Demon King of Will responded.

"Serious last." Rex responded.

"Well then, any of the moons would be a good choice. Any person who you have personally helped along with myself. There is also the choice to allow any of your women to be the sacrifice. Shall I continue with the not so serious answer?" The Demon King of Will asked laughing.

"No. Because in none of those answers were either directed completely towards you or you had a part in them. I guess the serious part is actually using you?" Rex asked.

"I am the best choice and the most serious choice to use. Shall I explain why?" He asked.

"Please." Rex felt his heartbreaking.

"My overuse of my powers has brought me to a point where any kind of Will I do now will either right out kill me or leave me in a suffering state. There is no way that you or anyone could have stopped this from happening. Even if I tried to not overuse my powers, currently I may would have just a tiny amount of extra Willpower left.

To sacrifice me for you to advance is not only my best option but yours as well. Please remember this is the only good way for me to die."

Tears ran down Rex's face has he heard the Demon King of Will explain his death. There would be no way for him to help afterwards if he could.

"Is there truly no other way? Is there no way for me to help you once I reach the Godly Realm? There has to be something." Rex's heart was shattering during his conversation.

The Demon King of Will knew that those tears were not only real but those of a close friend having to give his friend a dying touch but someone who would truly miss him.

"No matter how much I want to live. Unless every other god or goddess that you know and do not know can and will help me. There is no way."

Those words were the final shattering of Rex's heart has he truly believed that he could not do anything to help him.

"Please promise me that you can reincarnate at least." Rex pleaded.

The last little bit of Will that he had got used in that. The Demon King of Will secured a good life that he would be able to meet his friend once again. Those words spoken were not entirely true.

"I can reincarnate. For what I know, I cannot help but wonder if our paths will ever cross. Some paths we do, some we don't, some I don't live long enough, others I become content where I am at. I hope that we can meet again."

Rex finally looked to the Stairway and said, "My dear friend, the Demon King whom I met and helped, the man who single-handedly changed a lot in the Realms, and the person whose blood you will taste is the man whom I will sacrifice." A blade entered the heart of the Demon King of Will. Tears rolled, screams of anger, cursing of the Stairway, and a bloody smile came from the Demon King of Will.

"Thank you, my dear friend. Even though you and I did not spend as much time together as me and the First Saint. Helping you through your journey has made me realize how," bloody cough came from the Demon King of Will, "made me realize how special not only humanoid life is but all life." Those were the last words spoken by the Demon King of Will.

His blood entered the Stairway and the Stairway accepted Rex to enter the Godly Realm.

Rex cursed the Stairway and all it stood for. Power, blood, oneself, selfishness, and many more cursing until he reached his own Realm with the Goddesses.

Everyday, he felt piece by piece leave him. He did not know if it was the Realm itself that did it or the Stairway. Rex decided that he would destroy the Stairway and all it stood for before he died.

As Rex continued to walk towards the group. He found that the tears still continued down from just him thinking about the dream.

"Let's go meet the next moon." Rex spoke.

No one dared to speak to Rex. They were not sure why he was crying and no one wanted to make him angry.

"What is wrong?" Liz whispered.

"Just thinking about a bad dream I had. Something that I hope that does not happen." Rex replied.

Even his heart felt like it was breaking from just thinking of that dream. He did not want to but he could not help it.

"No worries. We will all do our best to make sure that it does not happen." Liz tried to cheer him up.

"That is the problem. I do not think we can prevent that dream from happening." Rex told her.

She felt that his words were not only true but something of a much deeper meaning.

"No matter what. Please make sure that you do your best to live our lives to the fullest." Liz told Rex.

He smiled as more tears rolled down. He could not help but wonder how much power he could helped his friend save if he was not truly selfish the way he currently is.

"Do you believe that I am selfish?" Rex asked Liz.

"Of course, everyone has something or someone that they are selfish for. What you do with that selfishness is what makes you better or worst." Liz replied.

Rex decided to try something out.

"Demon King of Desires Form." He spoke.
