My Milf Harem Conquest System In A Women's World-Chapter 55: Let Him Cook
Jason was perplexed by the new quest. Never in his wildest dreams had he expected something like this. The system wanted him to have an offspring. At the very least, it confirmed that he had not impregnated Layla during their intense encounter. He knew that had been reckless, especially for a virgin, but he had not been in the right state of mind at the time. In any case, the quest made it clear that the woman he chose had to be among his conquered MILFs.
That, at least, would not be a problem. The real question was which of them he would choose.
His step family was immediately ruled out for obvious reasons, leaving him to consider which of the many women in his life would be suitable to carry his child. The time limit was generous and gave him space to think, but the rewards tempted him to resolve it quickly.
The first reward did not interest him much, but the second one mattered greatly. The system promised information about his current predicament, which clearly referred to uncovering who had murdered Angela. If the system was truly omnipotent, there was a strong chance it already knew the answer.
’I will have to choose carefully this time.’
Names passed through his mind, one after another. With a harem as large as his, forgetting some was inevitable. Many were women he had met at clubs, during nights out, or on business trips, and with whom he had barely stayed in contact since. Only about twenty still stood out clearly in his memory, including his step family. Layla was among them as well.
Thinking it over, her innocence and overall disposition made her seem like the best choice. Compared to the others, she felt more suitable. Before long, he made his decision.
There was still much he did not know about her, such as her family background, assets, or connections, and he would need to look into those first. Even so, she struck him as a responsible woman.
Once his decision was made, Jason glanced towards Nathan again and found him still watching television, laughing freely, looking like a carefree fool with no ambition beyond wasting his already chaotic life in front of successful actors and actresses. He could admit that, in some ways, he was not much different, but still... no.
’I cannot leave this place just yet. I will probably be staying here for the next two months. If that is the case, I will need a new car and a few other necessities.’
He frowned.
Bringing his car over from Downtown would be costly and stressful. Perhaps not as expensive as buying a new one, but still an unnecessary hassle. He had more than enough money to spare, so there was no reason not to get a new car instead.
Wondering whether Nathan intended to eat proper food instead of surviving on snacks, Jason asked in a calm tone:
"Would you like something to eat?"
Without taking his eyes off the television, Nathan replied,
"Huh? What did you say?"
It seemed he had not heard clearly over the noise, so Jason raised his voice slightly and repeated himself.
"Do you want to eat anything?"
"Oh, yes! I would love noodles. Ramen, specifically, with spices. You know, the Korean spicy kind. I really enjoyed it when I travelled there."
Jason frowned faintly in confusion.
"I do not have ramen, but I can cook something similar if you want."
"Sure. Just make it spicy, bro. And please tell me you have a car."
Nathan finally turned towards him, fixing him with a pleading look as he waited for a favourable answer.
As Jason moved towards the kitchen to cook, he let out a quiet sigh.
"I am buying a new one tomorrow."
"Oh my God, yes! We are going together, no joke!"
"Pfft."

Jason opened the cupboards first, checking what ingredients remained from the previous days. The selection was limited, yet workable enough for a simple meal. He placed two pots on the counter and filled one with water from the tap.
He set the pot on the stove and turned on the heat. From another cupboard, he took out dried noodles to serve as a basic substitute for ramen. They lacked branding and flair, but they were filling and reliable. He set them beside the stove and reached for a cutting board. Vegetables followed, taken from the new refrigerator he had recently bought and laid out with care. He washed them thoroughly and began slicing them into small, even pieces. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
Cooking settled his thoughts in a way few things could. The repetitive motions anchored his focus to the present, keeping spiralling questions at bay. He cut onions, peppers, and garlic with controlled precision.
He resisted the urge to rush, knowing that carelessness ruined simple meals faster than complex ones ever could.
Once the water reached a rolling boil, he added the noodles and stirred them briefly. Steam rose and spread through the kitchen.
He heated a second pan and added a modest amount of oil. The vegetables followed, meeting the surface with a soft hiss. He stirred them slowly, allowing them to soften without burning.
The spices came next, chosen deliberately to suit Nathan’s request. He added chilli paste first, then crushed pepper and dried flakes. He avoided excess, aware that poor restraint overwhelmed flavour. He stirred until the mixture blended evenly and lowered the heat to prevent scorching.
Jason tasted the sauce and adjusted it with salt. The flavour was sharp but balanced, enough to satisfy a craving for heat. He drained the noodles and transferred them into the pan, mixing them thoroughly with the vegetables and sauce. The noodles absorbed the colour quickly, coating evenly without clumping.
Satisfied, he turned off the stove and reached for two plates. He divided the noodles evenly, ensuring both portions looked identical. One plate was set aside while he lifted the other with care, making sure nothing spilled.
Jason carried Nathan’s plate into the living room and placed it on the nearby table. Nathan finally looked away from the television and leaned forward with visible interest.
"That smells better than anything I expected from this place," Nathan said.
"Huh? Whatever. I used what was available, so do not expect perfection," Jason replied calmly as he took a seat beside him.
Nathan picked up his fork and took a careful bite. He chewed slowly, eyes fixed ahead, then smiled with satisfaction.
"Goddddd, this is actually great, and the spice hits properly! Damn, bro, you’re a chef!"
Jason returned to the kitchen briefly and brought his own plate back. He sat down and began eating without ceremony. The noodles tasted fine to him, without unnecessary flair. He focused on eating rather than speaking at first.
Nathan continued eating quickly, clearly hungry, pausing only to speak between mouthfuls.
They ate side by side for a while and kept watching the comedy drama. Jason paid no attention to the screen, keeping his focus on the meal.
After a few minutes, Nathan slowed down and leaned back slightly, his plate nearly empty.
"I forgot how much better real food feels," Nathan said, sounding more relaxed than earlier.
Jason acknowledged this internally without any outward display and finished his own portion at a steady pace. He placed the empty plate on the table and wiped his hands with a napkin.
"I will clean up later, so leave the plate there," Jason said, keeping his tone neutral.
Nathan complied without protest and returned his focus to the television. Jason remained seated, letting the moment settle.
"So tomorrow we look at cars, and I get out of this house properly," Nathan said with clear excitement.
"Yes, tomorrow we will take care of that," Jason replied without hesitation.
Nathan grinned and turned the volume up slightly, content with the answer. Jason leaned back and closed his eyes briefly to think.
"By the way, do you have wine?"
