My Milf Harem Conquest System In A Women's World-Chapter 29: The Family Decided To Play Poker
In the end, Jason resisted going to her room, and throughout the night, Daisy neither came to his nor mentioned what had happened at the beach. It was either she had a new plan hidden behind that calm demeanor or she was pretending nothing had occurred. Whatever it was, he was determined to take the lead this time and break into her cave first.
The next morning, Jason went through his usual routine and returned home to find breakfast ready, though served later than usual. Once he finished eating, with Daisy acting as if everything were perfectly normal, smiling, chatting, and carrying herself with her usual poise, he prepared to head upstairs to review the documents from the Circle once more. He had started calling it the Milf Circle for his own amusement, determined to memorize every detail even if he wasn’t directly working on it for now.
That morning, he had also received calls from both Melissa and Daniel. They had kept the conversation light, steering away from business, but Jason knew better. It was their way of keeping him engaged, ensuring he didn’t drift from the investment deal. Naturally, he played along.
He was just about to reach the stairs when Regina’s voice rang out from the living room.
"Jason, come back here for a second!"
He frowned.
’That damn brat. At least pretend to have manners when calling my name, kid.’
With a weary sigh, he turned around. Regina stood beside the coffee table, waving a deck of poker cards like a flag of victory. Catherine, Daisy, and Marinette sat nearby, mugs and plates still half-full from breakfast. Their faces carried a mix of amusement and expectation.
"What is it this time?" he asked, his tone already tired.
Regina’s grin widened.
"Family game time. We’re playing poker, and you’re not escaping."
He raised a brow.
"Poker? I don’t play cards."
The three women exchanged knowing looks before bursting into laughter, each for her own reason. Catherine gave a teasing smile.
"You? The man who handles investments and numbers every day can’t play poker? And didn’t you mention—"
He quickly cut her off before she could finish, already knowing she was about to bring up his supposed lottery win, a lie he had spun far too casually.
Jason’s lips twitched slightly.
"Business is math, not gambling."
Marinette chuckled softly and motioned toward the empty chair across from her.
"Then learn. It will sharpen your sense for people."
Regina tapped the tabletop with both hands, her grin widening.
"Come on, sit down. I’ll teach you everything."
Jason glanced from one face to another before sighing in exaggerated defeat. He placed his folder aside and took the seat beside her. The cards flicked between Regina’s fingers with practiced rhythm as she shuffled.
"Alright, instructor," he said, settling comfortably. "Show me the ropes."
Regina fanned the deck neatly across the surface, pointing to each group as she spoke.
"First, these are the suits: hearts, diamonds, clubs, and spades. Each one has thirteen cards, from Ace to King. The goal is to have the strongest hand out of five cards, or bluff well enough that everyone else gives up."
Jason leaned forward slightly, watching her demonstration while Catherine and Marinette exchanged amused smiles at her confidence.
Daisy observed from across the table, arms folded, her face unreadable for once.
Regina continued, pride lacing her voice.
"There are several combinations. A pair is two cards of the same value. Two pairs are exactly that. Three of a kind means three cards share a number. A straight is five cards in sequence, like five, six, seven, eight, nine. A flush means five of the same suit. A full house combines three of one number and two of another. Four of a kind means four identical values. A straight flush is five in order, all of the same suit. A royal flush is ten through ace, same suit, and that’s the best hand possible."
Jason furrowed his brows as he processed the list.
"Alright, pairs, straights, flushes, full houses, and the grand prize, royal flush. Seems simple enough."
Regina tilted her head, smirking.
"You say that now, but you’ll fold before the game even heats up."
He gave a faint scoff.
"We’ll find out soon enough."
Catherine rested her chin on one hand, amused.
"Regina has been hooked on poker tutorials lately. You’re about to face a little strategist who believes she’s a mind reader."
"Not believes," Regina corrected proudly. "Knows."
Daisy gathered the plastic chips and distributed them evenly. The tokens clinked softly as they landed on the table, red, blue, and white, pretending to hold the weight of real currency. Marinette watched quietly as Jason arranged his pile into tidy stacks.
"Alright, tutor," he said dryly. "Let’s see how this goes."
Regina began dealing, sliding the cards smoothly to each player. When everyone had five, she stacked the rest in the center and leaned back with a confident grin.
"Now we begin. Look at your cards and decide. You can fold, call, or raise."
Jason examined his hand, brow creasing.
"And those mean what, exactly?"
Regina exhaled dramatically, though her eyes sparkled with amusement.
"Fold means you drop out of this round. Call means you match the current bet. Raise means you increase it."
He nodded thoughtfully and stared at his cards again, still lost in the sea of suits and numbers. Marinette caught his confusion and hid her laughter behind her palm.
Catherine, by contrast, looked composed and at ease, tapping her cards lightly against the surface.
"Let’s see how our newcomer performs."
Regina started confidently, flicking a few chips forward.
"Ten to open."
Daisy matched her bet without hesitation, Marinette followed with a quiet "call," and Jason reluctantly pushed in the same amount.
"Alright," he said evenly. "I’ll stay in."
Regina’s grin widened.
"Good. Now it gets interesting."
The first round went precisely as Jason feared. He barely grasped what was happening, folded too soon, and watched Regina sweep the pile with a satisfied smile after revealing a flush.
"See?" she declared triumphantly. "Told you I’d take the first round."
Jason leaned back slightly in his chair, pretending to look defeated.
"Beginner’s bad luck."
Catherine chuckled softly.
"You sound like a man trying to protect his pride."
He glanced at her and smirked faintly.
"I am actually preserving it, not defending it."
Marinette shook her head, amused.
"Same thing, dear."
The next round began, and this time Jason focused more intently. Regina dealt again, moving the deck with graceful precision. Everyone leaned forward a little, their concentration fixed on the match as the chatter slowly faded.
The cozy room filled with the soft shuffle of cards and gentle laughter. Regina explained another rule about exchanging cards mid-play, and Jason listened attentively before choosing two to replace. Catherine and Marinette shared quick looks, quietly impressed by how swiftly he adapted once he decided to concentrate.
Daisy remained wordless with a composed feature . Occasionally, she lifted her gaze to meet Jason’s, but stayed silent.
Regina, however, was brimming with excitement.
"Alright, everyone ready? Time to reveal what we’ve got."
They turned over their cards in order. Marinette held two pairs, Catherine had three of a kind, Jason only a single pair, and Daisy displayed a straight. Regina laid her cards last, showing a full house.
"Boom!" she exclaimed, raising both arms. "Told you I would crush everyone."
Jason laughed quietly, shaking his head.
"Alright, I admit it, you’re impressive."
"I’m not merely good, noble sir," she said proudly, collecting her winnings. "I’m unmatched."
Catherine leaned forward and poured herself more tea, speaking in a playful tone:
"You’ve been practicing far too much for someone your age." 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
Regina beamed and pointed at her.
"To be fair, training brings triumph. You should try it."
Marinette chuckled lightly.
"She sounds exactly like Angela when she gets competitive."
Jason smiled faintly at that but kept his silence.
The following round turned out more balanced. Jason began making wiser decisions, folding at the right times and staying in when the odds leaned in his favor. The atmosphere around the table softened, laughter echoing during the pauses between turns.
Catherine began sharing amusing tales from Jason’s youth, much to Regina’s delight. Daisy added her usual sharp remarks, while Marinette maintained order whenever Regina tried to twist a rule for amusement.
By the fifth round, even Jason felt relaxed. He leaned back comfortably, rolling a chip between his fingers while watching Regina study her next move. She remained confident, though a trace of irritation showed now that her stack of winnings had started to shrink.
Catherine studied her cards with quiet thought.
"I will raise by ten."
Marinette responded calmly.
"Call."
Regina narrowed her eyes and added twenty.
"I am not afraid of you."
Jason smiled faintly.
"I bet you will regret that."
He pushed in twenty to match her, feeling a rare surge of confidence.
Daisy silently placed her own chips forward without comment.
The air around the table thickened with anticipation as everyone drew their final card. Regina bit her lower lip, eyes darting between her cards and the others. Jason watched her intently, amused by how intensely she focused. Catherine sipped her tea with elegant ease, while Marinette’s gaze moved curiously among them all.
Taking a deep breath, Regina declared firmly,
"Alright. Showtime."
Cards landed on the table one after another. Catherine revealed a straight, Marinette displayed three of a kind, Jason laid down a full house, and Regina showed only two pairs. She groaned in irritation as Jason leaned forward with a triumphant grin to gather the chips.
"Finally, the student wins a round."
Regina threw her arms up dramatically.
"I taught you too well."
Catherine chuckled softly, clapping her hands once.
"That is what happens when you create competition."
Marinette nodded approvingly.
"He learned quickly, though."
Jason turned toward Daisy, the last to reveal her hand. She flipped her cards slowly, exposing a flush that neatly overtook his full house.
Silence hung in the room for a heartbeat before Regina burst into laughter again.
"He thought he won. Oh, that is priceless."
Jason exhaled and leaned back, shaking his head in defeat.
"Alright, I earned that one."
Marinette smiled at the exchange, and Catherine’s laughter joined Regina’s cheerful outburst. Daisy, meanwhile, calmly drew her winnings together without a hint of pride. When she lifted her gaze, her eyes met Jason’s for a brief instant. A faint, knowing smirk touched her lips as she looked directly at him.
’Hm. What am I to expect, sister?’
