Chapter 63: Dragon Realm

In the blink of an eye, Skytianeus used his guardian privilege to open a fresh summoning circle. His intent was for Jett and his maids to pass through it and enter his Dragon Guardian Palace perched atop The Dragon Mountain. The moment his summoning circle materialized and fused into the mansion’s floor, the white‑silver runes instantly lost their radiant glow and smoothly shifted into magical blue hue, exactly like Jett’s primary summoning circle.

[The Dragon Guardian, Skytianeus, has drawn a summoning circle within your mansion.]

[The Warden Mansion has overpowered the summoning circle and overwritten its rules, giving you entire control over it.]

[You can use the Dragon Guardian’s Summoning Circle to bring anyone to the Dragon Guardian Palace along with your Warden Mansion.]

Once again, the Warden Mansion revealed how omnipotent it was. Not only had it overridden Skytianeus’ privileges, it also granted them to Jett and allowed him to take the entire mansion to Dragon Mountain. Having such a mode of travel was undeniably comfy, though he briefly felt conflicted because journeying around the world in the usual way offered its own advantages he didn’t want to miss. In the end, having teleportation was beneficial for everyone.

Skytianeus didn’t hide his amazement at what had happened. "As expected of Lord Warden. Your power will never cease to amaze me."

The three maids nodded at his words.

It’s mansion’s doing.

It felt quite conflicting to Jett, especially after his bargain with the Dragon Empress. The Warden Mansion’s miracles were never truly attributed to him, but he didn’t let that bother him. In the end, what mattered most was how he would use those miracles. Those miracles occurred because of him. Yet his bargain with the Dragon Empress now made Skytianeus’ words and his maids’ reactions sting him deeply indeed.

Jett showed absolutely nothing on his face, though he suspected strongly that his attentive maids had noticed something was indeed wrong. A single instant of hesitation or silence was enough to clearly tell them that Jett carried some kind of burden in his mind. None dared comment on it in the presence of someone of such truly high status as Skytianeus.

"Time’s against us. Let’s go," Jett said, willing the summoning circle to take him to the Dragon Mountain now.

Blue light flooded the mansion’s interior, blinding everyone. A moment later, they experienced the familiar sensation of teleportation, as if their bodies suddenly lost foothold and floated entirely weightless gently through space. Outside, the mansion warped away from the Stormcloud Dukedom. Even Jett’s pets disappeared along with it.

Had anyone been present, they’d be unable to tell that the Warden was here.

...

Upon appearing at the spire of Dragon Mountain, Jett’s eyes were first caught by the unique creamy‑purple skies. Cloudless, with the Sun swimming in the creamy blanket like a cherry, the skies were strangely beautiful and mesmerizing. Jett didn’t know about it before, but he had a thing for vistas like that.

Just as the vast blue ocean at his starting point had impressed him, gifting him equally deep thoughts, the unique dragon skies made him feel that this part of the world required truly urgent protection. He appreciated different cultures and lands more than he realized. These skies told him there was still so much left to explore that he felt a tinge of excitement as well.

At the same moment, his mansion began its gradual transformation. It perched itself higher than the Dragon Palace, anchored itself firmly, and expanded back to the mansion it had once been on the human continent. It seized the cliff looming over the Guardian Dragon Palace as though this spot had always been meant for The Warden Mansion. Rainbow‑colored lightning arcs suddenly sparked from every part of the mansion before tearing brightly through the creamy‑purple skies, dramatically marking the Warden’s arrival. Simultaneously, white clouds slowly began forming high overhead above the Warden Mansion.

They conveyed a simple message.

The Warden, The Ruler Of Heavens and the Storm, is here.

Skytianeus dropped onto his knee and lowered his head down. This time, he didn’t desperately grovel before Jett, but instead performed an official greeting.

"I, Skytianeus, the Dragon Guardian, for the duration of your stay in the Dragon Realm, am now under your command, Lord Warden," he said solemnly, humbly.

Jett lowered his eyes and stopped at the Dragon Guardian’s Palace, whose towers seemed like horns of a dragon and its mansion like a dragon skull.

"Something related to the Warden is within that mansion," he said.

"...what could it be?" Skytianeus asked, curious.

Mia, Noctlisa, and Eleonora deadpanned at him.

You ask Master Jett that?

Across from the Dragon Mountain, the capital of the Dragon Realm sprawled far and wide, with various mini mountains erected. A single castle had been perched in the middle of the three highest mountains, connected to them through bridges. In the throne room, a woman with black horns and violet hair warmed her throne with her plump ass, her legs crossed. She leaned her little head on her hand, listening to her secretary. In front of her, standing in orderly rows, the elders she hadn’t yet eliminated from her castle still stood rigidly at attention.

"The Dragon Catacombs’ mission is swiftly going on—ooga!" the secretary suddenly yelped, his heart shivering.

The Dragon Empress’ emerald eyes widened, and she looked upward as though she could see through the walls of her castle. Other elders shivered just like the secretary, exchanging a few looks and gulping down.

The Dragon Empress voiced out their thoughts. "The Warden is here. The coward must have summoned him here."

She rose from her throne and walked down the violet carpet with a gait that would have stoked Jett yet inspired respect in the hearts of the secretary and the elders. She headed toward the balcony overseeing the capital, then lifted herself onto the balcony’s rail and jumped high into the skies, her body morphing into a huge dragon. She perched herself on the highest tower and raised her muzzle to the skies, roaring at them. Her roar swept through the entire Dragon Realm, conveying the royal creed.

Cease what you’re doing and remain at where you are until we give you permission to return to normal lives. Anyone who disobeys my order shall be marked by royal decree and be slain in the following week. You may disobey this order only if your life is threatened.

Spreading her wings wide, the Dragon Empress alone flew toward the Dragon Mountain, the only mountain she couldn’t claim. Her speech wasn’t done. Her roar once again boomed across the Dragon Realm.

You, who dared to infiltrate past us in the Dragon Catacombs, show yourself at the Dragon Mountain. We shall end you, Skytianeus, and the Warden all at once.

...

"She’s crazy... she’s gone mad!" Skytianeus trembled upon hearing the Dragon Empress’ decree, which literally threatened his life.

She also commanded the enemy to casually scale Dragon Mountain and boldly come to this sacred place! Not only that, but she insulted Warden and believed to be strong enough to defeat him as well! She went against the history of her race, too, disrespecting the actions of her ancestors!

Jett narrowed his eyes.

What are you thinking now, Dragon Empress?

Strangely, he could understand her roar. He knew every word she spoke in her dragon form while his maids wondered what the hell was going on. They could only feel the powerful dragon flying toward them. Just then, a different presence appeared at the feet of the Dragon Mountain. It then started scaling up the mountain as though marathoning through it, destroying all obstacles through sheer power and presence.

"It must be them! They who threaten my bloodline!" Skytianeus exclaimed, his face going ashen as he hadn’t expected this much chaos at the start.

The Dragon Empress should have just ignored him. How come she decided to go all out, even alone at that, without her army?

Soon, the Dragon Empress floated over the Dragon Mountain’s spire, her dragon form morphing to her human form in yukata. At the same time, a man with black eyeballs and golden eyes appeared at the spire’s feet, walking toward everyone while encased in a black‑scaled armor, his gloves akin to enormous dragon claws.

"We have changed our mind," the Dragon Empress said, earning confused looks from everyone at the place. "We shall fight two versus two. Us and that irregular against the coward and the Warden. You shall not tuck your tail, shall you, the coward?"

Skytianeus gritted his teeth. This woman was literally asking him whether he would leave the Warden alone against her and the irregular. He’d been avoiding fights all this time, but if he were to be severely wounded, then even the Dragon Empress would be able to snatch the Dragon Guardian Palace from him! But letting the Warden fight alone was also a slap to the face. More than anything, he had sworn obedience to him right now, so if Jett wanted him to fight along with him, then Skytianeus had little to say in that matter.

"Skytianeus," Jett said. "Keep the Dragon Empress busy."

After saying that, Jett walked forward. "Mia, Noctlisa, and Eleonora. Do not interfere."

He then looked at the armored man. "Holdrake?"
