My Magical System-Chapter 362: New Shop
"But how do we take advantage of it? Aren’t we supposed to avoid doing anything suspicious? Otherwise, they’ll think we’re in cahoots with the other party. They might come after us, right?" Hirro asked anxiously.
"The deputy is right, Lead," Paula agreed with Hirro.
Fatsu and Faye were also nodding their heads.
He also understood their worry. But Eman just calmly replied.
"Relax. They won’t come after us to eradicate us. In fact, they’ll come begging to us."
Hirro and the others exchanged glances before turning back to their leader.
"Really?" They trusted Eman’s words but that seemed impossible to happen no matter how they thought about it.
Those two titan clans would come to beg them?
They also needed to remind him that, "...but all we can do is remove rust," Faye’s shoulders dropped slightly.
Eman grinned.
"Not anymore. From now on, we’re no longer a rust-cleaning clan. We’ll be selling medicines and running a coffee shop at the same time."
"S-selling... medicines and running a coffee shop?" Faye stuttered, clearly caught off guard despite having listened intently.
The others also had the same reaction as him.
"But we don’t know how to concoct medicines..." Paula voiced out his concern. "...unless you mean we’ll be buying and selling them?"
"That won’t work," Fatsu cut in. "Even cutting aside the huge capital we needed to run a shop, we still needed to consider where we’d even get the medicine supplies."
He frowned as he continued, reminding everyone of the empire’s current situation.
"Right now, potions, elixirs, and medicinal supplies are extremely scarce."
Seeing everyone’s expressions turn discouraged, Eman simply laughed.
"Haha. Relax."
They all looked at him, listening closely.
"The medicines and coffee supplies aren’t a problem. As for the capital— well, we can take a loan. Actually, let me rephrase that. I’ve already borrowed enough to open the shop."
Everyone stared at him in disbelief. His confidence felt like it assured them that everything was already thought through.
Transitioning to a new shop needed the academy’s clan administrator’s approval. And even if they’d agree, the transitioning clan still needed to pay a huge Academy Points. So far, they just don’t have the right amount for it.
Eman told them he already got enough points for transitioning.
So the question is... how did he acquire such a huge sum of AP? Where did he get it?
Seeing everyone’s curious gazes on him, Eman heaved calmly and sighed.
"Alright I’ll explain."
The fire of curiosity in their eyes wouldn’t extinguish unless he told them the truth.
After listening to his explanation, their eyes widened like a zoom-in moon. None of them could talk for a moment. They already knew their leader was a very wise person, but it seemed he wasn’t just a wiseman but a cunning person that could flip a mountain and turn a raging beast into a soft pup.
He told them that he made a deal with Olivius. When Eman talked in secret with Olivius, he used his promoting skill to promote his medicines and potions, and also let Olivius taste the fantastic taste of the modern coffee. And the result even far exceeded his initial expectation.
Who would have thought that the feared boss of the Tyrant Clan had been tamed easily by their leader?
Truly, it was unbelievable.
"Lead, are you the god of conquest?" Faye couldn’t help it but asked.
"Sure, but I’m not into BL though."
"What’s that? Godly wisdom? Should I start recording it?"
Eman just chuckled.
"Nevermind." 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮
"Wait... so that means we don’t have a problem transitioning?" Hirro leaned forward, eyes seeking for confirmation.
Eman smiled and glanced around the room.
"Well, we still need to redesign the place..."
So far, it was still dry and plain. Too plain that it could hurt anyone’s eyes.
Faye got up from his seat and said, "In that case, what are we waiting for? Let’s start right away!"
"Right, the sooner the better!"
Everyone looked excited.
"Alright then, I will assign each one’s task. If that’s okay."
"Of course."
"Sure."
"Yes, please.
"Alright."
Paula volunteered to handle the shop’s design, while Hirro took charge of managing its income. As for Faye and Fatsu, they were given important roles as well.
After the meeting, Faye reminded Eman that he needed to attend class. Exams were approaching, and it would be a serious problem if their leader scored poorly.
If that happened, the chances of him failing to advance next year would be high. And that would have a significant impact on their clan. The worst-case scenario was disbandment.
Eman understood. He had been absent for several days. When it came to the magic and martial exams, he was confident he could manage. However, for some of the written subjects, he wasn’t sure he could score well enough. That would have been true if he were an ordinary student.
But Eman wasn’t ordinary.
He had a system that allowed him to memorize every word he read.
Even so, he decided to attend class this time. He went with Faye to their classroom.
When their classmates saw him, they stared as if they had just seen a ghost walk in.
"Hey... are you really Eman?"
For some reason, a neat boy with parted hairstyle asked him curiously, his body trembling slightly.
Eman wondered why he looked as though he was afraid he might bite him on the spot.
"Class Rep, what do you mean? Of course, it’s Eman. Our Merciless Clan leader," Faye crossed his arms as he puffed his thin chests proudly.
Turns out this boy is the class representative. Eman thought inwardly.
"I can’t tell, but something in him really looks different than before."
Just then, Faye glanced back at Eman and stared at him. Indeed, he just noticed it, but there was something in Eman that was different from before. He looked more handsome than before, making Faye slightly envious.
Usually, Eman looked like a boy that was easy to bully. He also always wore an aura common to the commoners.
But now, he was exuding a noble aura, a calm one, not the usual aura of the haughty arrogant noble that most young nobles in the academy were exuding.
Eman laughed lightly and said, "Perhaps because of the little makeover I did."
On the side, Faye nodded his head.
Weirdly, the Class Rep still looked terrified.
"T-That’s not what I mean. Argh!" The Class Rep exclaimed before suddenly running outside, leaving Faye and Eman confused.
"What’s his problem?" Faye asked, puzzled.
"Don’t mind him."
"Right."
They went and took their seats.
As he sat down, Eman secretly wondered if the Class Rep’s strange behavior was due to his dragon energy.
