My Lust System: I Inherited The Sin Of Lust And His Three Wives-Chapter 85: Power Of Dark Miracle
By the time Damian reached Twenty’s place, it was already a few minutes past five, which left the young gangster visibly irritated.
"You are officially my tactician and strategist. You can’t be coming a few minutes late to an important strategic meeting, my boy."
Damian chuckled, a thick cigar resting between his lips and a glass of whiskey in his hand as they walked into the living room together. They settled onto opposing couches, and on the table between them sat a closed laptop.
Only after they had both settled comfortably did Twenty’s expression harden and his voice turn serious.
"In that laptop are the secrets of the Black Apostle Cartel. If you look at it, there is no going back from this. We ride together until we die. Do you understand?"
Damian shrugged casually as he set down both his cigar and his whiskey. Without the slightest hesitation, he picked up the laptop, flipped it open, and powered it on while replying.
"Do you know what I had to give up to have a man like the Faceless as my mentor?"
Damian’s eyes rose above the edge of the laptop and locked onto Twenty’s.
The moment the name Faceless was spoken, Twenty’s tough exterior shattered. His body shuddered involuntarily. Instinctively, his gaze dropped to his palm, remembering the moment when the paper had sliced it open and soaked itself in his blood while the man laughed with a haunting sound that still echoed in his mind.
Since their final meeting, Twenty had been plagued by nightmares of the Faceless. Every time he closed his eyes, that terrible laughter returned.
"What did you give up?" Twenty asked, his curiosity impossible to suppress.
Damian decided to play a psychological game. He remained silent while maintaining eye contact with Twenty for two long seconds before finally answering.
"My soul."
Buzz!
Twenty shivered violently upon hearing those words. The memory of the Faceless’ shifting visage flashed through his mind. First the blank face, then the man wearing his own face like a mask. Anyone capable of something like that had to possess terrifying demonic power.
Strangely, the realization that Damian had sold his soul to that thing excited Twenty. It confirmed the Faceless was truly a powerful entity, which meant the promises the demon had made would most likely come true.
And he had gained access to all of that without selling his own soul.
What a steal.
Then Twenty suddenly froze as another thought crossed his mind.
The Faceless had always referred to this lawyer as his student. Did that mean Damian possessed some of his mystical abilities?
"Password." Damian rotated the laptop and slid it across the table toward him.
Twenty caught it but did not immediately type anything. Instead, he asked the question burning in his mind.
"Is he really teaching you that black magic stuff?"
Damian calmly nodded.
He knew exactly what Twenty was asking.
Damian extended his hand across the table.
"Your injured hand. Give it to me."
Twenty immediately offered his hand with a broad grin on his face. It was the expression of a man expecting to witness something extraordinary.
Without hesitation, Damian tore away the bandage covering the cut. The wound had already begun healing, but the slice was still visible and fresh.
Damian placed his palm over the injury and slowly closed his eyes.
[Dark Miracle Skill Activated]
Right before Twenty’s eyes, the wound began to close. Flesh knitted together at an unnatural speed until the scar disappeared entirely, leaving the skin smooth and flawless as if the injury had never existed.
Twenty jerked backward in shock, staring at his hand as though he had just seen a ghost.
What he did not realize was that the same shallow cut had instantly opened across Damian’s back. The wound slowly began to close at a visible pace, sealing itself completely within seconds due to Damian’s regenerative ability.
"I’m healed. You fucking healed me, man!" Twenty jumped to his feet, overcome with the excitement of a man who had just witnessed a divine revelation. "Homie, if you opened a church and started performing these miracles, do you know how much money and attention you could get?"
Damian chuckled at the idea but dismissed it with a casual shrug.
"Come on, man, think about it. There are millionaire fake preachers out there who can’t even heal a common cold. If you did this, you could start your own religion. Imagine it. A whole cult of devoted followers. You could fucking become the twenty first century Messiah, my boy!"
Buzz!
Damian froze. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎
His eyes slowly narrowed at the word Messiah.
Him... a Messiah?
But not the kind who sat quietly and allowed himself to be persecuted. No. A living Messiah who would rule the world and reshape it into a planet of lust.
A cult-like following was exactly what he needed for his political ambitions. And the sheer number of talent points he could extract from such a vast number of followers was almost unimaginable.
You will also gain access to many women and virgins. Many of them could help accelerate your growth. There is a lot to gain from this.
Hazel’s voice suddenly echoed in his mind, nearly startling him.
After immersing himself so deeply in work, Damian had almost forgotten that his wives could still observe him.
"Alright. We will return to that topic after I have reviewed everything I came here for. Sit down."
Damian adjusted his posture on the couch.
Twenty’s grin widened even further when he realized Damian had not rejected the idea outright. The financial potential alone was far greater than the lawyer probably understood.
What Twenty did not realize was that the money was the least of Damian’s motivations.
Still, he pushed the thought aside and returned to the laptop. After typing in the password, he opened the folder containing the files Damian needed and slid the computer back across the table.
"Take your time."
With that, Twenty stood up, cigar in one hand and whiskey in the other, before heading upstairs.
The moment Damian began going through the files, he understood why.
The young rapper had meticulously documented every piece of information about his cartel that Damian would need to understand.
Only by understanding the game could he plan to overthrow it.
"I’ll need it," Damian murmured under a heavy sigh.
Moments later, he felt a pair of soft lips brush against the side of his neck, sending a sudden warmth through his otherwise cold body.
"Not here," he whispered, his voice barely audible.
"I know. I’m only giving my darling husband a little motivation. You’ve been working very hard lately."
As those words reached his ears, the lips gently nibbled against the edge of his ear, causing his entire body to shudder.
"Babe..." Damian could only protest weakly.
