My Kingdom Building Done Right!-Chapter 36: The Titan Breaker
Ulric observed his reflection in the full-body mirror Leone had bought from the Arcane Shop.
Although his body had become less bulky, he could feel that he was stronger than ever. There was one more striking change. It seemed like he had aged in reverse by ten years, looking like he was about thirty when his actual age was forty.
Yuni even teased him, saying he could marry again if he wanted and that it would be a waste of her father’s good looks otherwise.
Her words only made Ulric smile wryly. He hadn’t told Yuni that her mother was still alive and that he just didn’t know her whereabouts.
Unavoidable circumstances had forced her to leave them. Had she stubbornly stayed with him, the Alborin Tribe could’ve faced a danger they couldn’t handle.
Ulric turned away from the mirror and went out to check on the monster sleeping at the corner of the cave. There, a Dire Bear the size of a car was sleeping peacefully.
It was none other than Ulric’s Familiar, a Rank 3 Monster he named Fury.
The bear had three red stripes that extended from its head all the way to the back of its body. It was like a claw mark, making it look more intimidating.
For some reason, Ulric could also check the Status Page of his familiar, an ability he gained after becoming Leone’s vassal.

Fury was indeed a very powerful monster meant to act as a heavy-hitter and a tank while fighting alongside Ulric.
Not only was its defenses incredibly strong thanks to its skill, Ironhide, it could also use Titan Form, a skill that doubled its size when fighting against large monsters, armored enemies, and giants.
Ulric had personally chosen the Dire Bear as his familiar, but he didn’t expect it would actually complement his own fighting ability.
Daedalus even said that if Ulric and Fury fought side by side in the battlefield, they would be a menace that would make even Astravor hesitate to attack them.
Ulric might have instinctively wished to become someone who could fight against Astravor and Arlo’s Werewolf Form without being pushed back. Both battles had made him realized how much he lacked as a warrior.
Perhaps this was why he gained a Prestige Class specializing on fighting against monsters bigger and stronger than him.
After checking his Familiar’s Status Page, he opened his own Status Page to check how much he had grown.

Ulric clenched his fists, thinking things might be different if he were to fight Astravor again.
He might not win, but he was at least confident about keeping the monster at bay as long as Fury fought alongside him.
’Leone’s and Daedalus’ powers are truly miraculous,’ Ulric thought. ’He might really be a Hero sent to us by the Goddess.’
A faint smile appeared on Ulric’s face as he gazed at the young man helping a family build a wooden house.
The interior of the cavern now had several houses, which was instantly built by Leone’s Creation Magic.
Although they were indoors, it was more comfortable to sleep on the wooden floor of a house than on the cold, hard ground. Leone even included comfortable beds inside every home.
It might not be as good as the ones noble families use, but it was leagues ahead compared to the crude straw beds the Alborin Tribe used in the past.
"Thank you, big brother Leone!" a little girl said with a big smile on her face after the young man built her family a house.
"Don’t mention it," Leone replied and lightly patted the little girl’s head. "Well then, be a good girl and listen to your parents, okay?"
"Un!" the girl nodded happily.
Now that his task was finished, Leone did a few stretches before opening his mission page.

[Fifth Mission: Build the Foundations of Civilization]
Objectives:
— Construct a Barracks [0/1]
— Construct a Storage Facility [0/1]
— Construct a Training Ground [0/1]
— Construct ten Residential Houses [10/10]
Description:
A territory cannot grow through warriors alone. To build a kingdom, you must first create the foundations of a thriving settlement where your people can live, train, and prosper.
———
"Daedalus, should we buy the blueprints for the Barracks and Training Ground?" Leone asked.
"That’s a good idea!" Daedalus replied. "Blueprints of lower-grade structures usually cost 500 BP. Since we are saving up on BP, that is the best choice for now.
"As for the Storage Facility, you can just build a big house, and store the food supplies and ammunition there."
Leone nodded and opened the Blueprint Section of the Arcane Shop, intending to purchase everything he needed to complete his Fifth Mission.
Only a day had passed after the Black Wolf Tribe’s raid, yet Leone was already back in action, focusing on completing his missions to rank up his territory.
Also, since the members of the Alborin Tribe were now his people, he wanted them to live a safe and comfortable life.
However, looking at the requirements of his current mission, Leone understood that the next step would be to build a fighting force strong enough to protect them from surrounding threats.
When he was still in their viscounty, he often visited the Barracks where the knights train every day. They would often spar against each other and train their skills to avoid getting rusty.
The young man then glanced at Maximus, Pollux, and Castor.
The three were currently expanding the underground cavern by digging a tunnel through the mountain.
Maximus enjoyed this because it was a kobold, while Castor and Pollux did it because they thought of it as a good training regimen.
Daedalus confirmed that mining would slowly raise the Strength and Dexterity stats of the two warriors, which motivated them to work.
Also, the rocks they had dug also served as resources for building other structures inside their camp. It was a win-win situation for everyone, so the three happily dug as a team.
Ulric had given his Axe to another warrior so he could use it to chop trees and fight against monsters in the forest.
After becoming Leone’s Vassal, Daedalus recommended that he get the Giant Killing Axe, which complemented Ulric’s Prestige Class.
With such a powerful warrior on their side, Leone didn’t need to worry about any monsters as strong as the pre-evolution Astravor.
"So, where are we going to put these barracks?" Leone asked Daedalus. "I don’t think we have enough space in the cavern for one."
"We can put it as the base of the mountain since we have a clear plot of and there," Daedalus proposed.
"If you’re worried it might get attacked by wild beasts, we can just build wooden fences around it. Besides, we have the mounted repeating crossbows from above. If anything messes with us, we can just shoot them down."
Leone pondered a bit before agreeing to Daedalus’ proposal. It was very important for his people to train their combat so they could protect their new home from the dangers lurking within the domain of the Grimjaw Mountain and far beyond its borders.
