My Items Can Upgrade-Chapter 331 - 178: Mysterious Fragment (6,000 Words) (Part 4)
"Detected an unstable factor..."
A voice emerged from within the robot, then lasers shot out from both of its arms simultaneously.
Yang Yuan easily dodged and tried to get closer.
But unexpectedly, that robot was quite agile, firing wildly as it quickly retreated, never letting him approach within a kilometer.
Yang Yuan wanted to try again, when suddenly another robot appeared from a different direction.
Upon seeing him, that robot aimed directly and fired a laser beam, its actions smooth and fluid.
Yang Yuan’s spiritual sense was now incredibly powerful, allowing him to easily evade the robot’s shots, then he raised his hand.
"Bang!"
The robot that appeared in the distance exploded directly, leveling the nearby hill as well.
The first robot hastily retreated frantically upon seeing this.
Yang Yuan didn’t feel like pursuing it, quickly loaded a crossbow arrow, and raised his hand to shoot a beam, directly blasting it apart.
"Boom—"
Flames soared into the sky, the explosion echoing in the air, and the subsequent kinetic energy crushed and flattened all obstacles along the way.
Suddenly, a fragment flew this way.
Yang Yuan instinctively caught it, discovering it was a cube-like metallic object, with a length, width, and height of just one centimeter.
But he couldn’t comprehend what it was at all.
Shaking his head, he casually stored it in the Void Ring, then continued searching around.
Unfortunately, besides that fragment, there was nothing else left behind.
These two robots were just the tip of the iceberg; those cosmic battleships had previously released a massive amount of drones and robots.
However, with only himself, he couldn’t manage so much, and this time he only wanted to acquire some alien drones or robots that could be modified.
But this idea was obviously naive; that level of technology, even if placed in front of him, he probably wouldn’t understand it.
"Buzz—"
Suddenly, a beam of light shot from behind.
Unable to dodge in time, Yang Yuan instinctively used his hand to block.
A terrifying high temperature burned his palm to a crisp.
Three thousand meters away in that direction, a robot vanished in a flash.
He hurriedly raised his hand and shot it apart with an arrow, then quickly reloaded.
"These robots... are actually capable of stealth attacks? Are they that intelligent?"
He raised his hand to look, noticing that the burned and charred area on his left palm was rapidly healing.
"My physique has become astonishingly robust, even to my surprise."
Previously, such laser would probably have pierced an ordinary Earth Level creature’s body.
But it didn’t even break his skin, merely scorching the surface.
"Huh..."
Just then, with his incredible eyesight, he suddenly saw a small fragment flying over from more than three hundred meters away.
He flashed across several hundred meters and caught it in one swift motion.
"It’s the same thing as before again."
The object in his hand was still a cube with a length, width, and height of just one centimeter, pitch-black and non-reflective.
He squeezed it hard but found it unbreakable.
"What on earth is this? Even I can’t crush it."
Yang Yuan became somewhat intrigued, thinking this time might not be entirely fruitless.
At once, he didn’t rush back and continued searching the vicinity.
Anyway, with his current initial Earth Level power, coupled with the Golden Arm Crossbow, nothing that could threaten him would likely appear here.
"Swoosh!"
A shadow flickered.
He arrived at the edge of the crater from the drone’s explosion the second time he encountered it, picking up a fragment from the ground.
"This one, should be from the drone, right?"
Yang Yuan was puzzled; drones had something like this too?
"Even such a massive explosion couldn’t destroy it, not even my Golden Arm Crossbow could blast it apart..."
Such terrifying defense left him questioning the true purpose of these fragments.
