My Idle System-Chapter 347: Farming (Unedited)
After his words, for her, to move far away from him… right after she acquired a physical body, Iris who actually already knew of this possibility, didn't reply immediately and stayed silent.
Naturally, she didn't argue with him with words.
But.
Are you really going to send me away… was the message that Iris seemed to send Christian with her pitiful gaze.
But, when that didn't work, and his smile didn't waver, and he didn't change his order, Iris simply, shrugged, before she said, "Understood… I will depart away immediately."
Iris stood up, after that, she was going to depart away immediately, but, instead of walking away actually, her eyes lingered on Christian's lips in an obvious manner for a moment, before she finally moved forward.
Christian stayed still, and she came before him, before she closed her head, and kissed him, on his cheek.
She moved her head back after and smiled mischievously at him.
In her eyes she seemed to be sending him a different message this time.
Did you think I'm going to kiss you on your lips?
Too bad for you, it's only on the cheek!
Christian simply laughed, at her cheeky behaviors, and Iris didn't linger after that, and simply went away… her destination. Washington.
How would the capital of the United States change after her arrival there?
Christian thought in anticipation, as he saw her going away.
Well, either way, she made it seem dramatic, when she went away, but, for Iris, even if she went away, she was still right beside him, inside every device.
He just needs to say something out loud, and her reply would simply come after that.
So, really has she gone away? Or is she staying with him?
As he wondered, Christian couldn't help, but move his gaze to one of the cameras set on the wall.
He knew for a fact that Iris was always watching him, after all.
He waved at the camera with his hand, seemingly telling her good bye… and safe trip.
He didn't get a reply at that, but, he didn't need one.
Instead he rose up from his position, and moved on to the workshop, where the still working Beta and Shae were.
What they are even working when Iris was already made?
Well, even if the masterpiece called Iris was finished, the work in his workshop, would never end.
If it's not developing and creating Iris... then it's simply some another assistant android.
And if it's not even that, then, they would keep building on the weapons and equipment, or expand it.
Work literally would never end... was Christian conclusion after he made this workshop.
But. Why is he still expanding on it... if he were going to go away some time later?
What is he going to do with this place if he were to move on to the capital?
Would it simply became a back up base? But, wouldn't that be a waste, after everything he had been doing and setting here?
That was what on Christian's mind at first.
But, then he suddenly thought. It doesn't have to be that way.
He just need to let everything continue working even in his absence.
It's like his idle system which work instead of him…. he just needs to do the same in reality, where instead of practicing some skills, here he will farm other things.
Christian's thoughts were good, brilliant even, if he were to say it himself, but things are never that easy.
Why?
Well, the sight in front of him, of Shae moving her hand in fast speed that her hands were a blur, but was still in a precise manner and Beta working more slowly but equally in professional manner is the answer.
All kinds of equipment, to handle materials, to imprint mechanical parts, or for other obvious roles where there… but, many tasks, were still done manually by hands.
And if he were going to obsess over the quality? Then, everything… literally everything would need to be done by hand.
That's why, the current situation can't continue as at is, it would not only go against his idea of operating his workshop always, without his interference… its also not efficient enough, after all.
So, with the time until his skill Lie Detection raise in level, and he finally get the answer he wants from Anastasia.
Christian was going to work on this project.
To remodel his workshop.
To build all kind of assembly lines, and make some assistant androids, operated by a simple AI without any personality and simple program supervise the work.
What kind of work?
Well, the answer is simple… it's weapons, and battle androids, who could help Zero or stand back, in attentions for needed.
Maybe one simple battle android made like this, doesn't even have the strength to take down an experienced essence master on the first mastery stage… but, what about Hundred? Thousand? Or even more?
What would the results then be?
Christian could feel his blood boil only at the thought.
An army of battle androids… it was really a sight he looked forward to see.
Either way, that's not the only things he needed to work on.
He also naturally needed to address the security issue even further, as he can't have his going to be idle weapon factory, be under the risk of someone plundering it.
And if he still has time, even after he did all of that?
Then, maybe he could also give some upgrades to Beta.
…....…
In the workshop, where the only sound of metal clinking was being heard, Anastasia bored, stood there watching, the two working androids.
Are they not getting along even after all this time?
In boredom, where Christian seemed to start taking things more easy… no, started slacking on his work more appropriate, she seemed to wonder about all kind of useless things.
She intended to go back to her spot in the forging room, when the yawning Christian suddenly appeared.
