MY HIDDEN TALENT IS FORBIDDEN BY THE HEAVENS-Chapter 229: THE WAR ABOVE THE WORLD
Chapter 229 — THE WAR ABOVE THE WORLD
The sky burned.
Six radiant rings hung high above the battlefield, each one larger than the clouds surrounding it. Their light wasn’t warm like sunlight or violent like lightning. It was colder, precise, deliberate—the kind of light that erased things.
Below them, the ruined city trembled. Emergency sirens continued to scream through broken streets, yet even the chaos of rescue operations slowed as people looked up. Everyone could see it now: six white suns hanging over the battlefield, and two dragons beneath them.
High above the storm clouds, Long Hao hovered beside the Jade Dragon. The Eclipse Dragon’s wings stretched across the sky like shadows of night while golden veins pulsed slowly across his scales as the Sovereign System adapted to the crushing pressure of divine authority. Beside him, the Jade Dragon’s emerald aura surged like a living storm.
For a moment neither dragon moved.
Then Long Hao glanced sideways and muttered that they were really doing this. The Jade Dragon snorted as emerald lightning crawled across its horns and asked if he hesitated. Long Hao looked up toward the six radiant rings and replied that it was not hesitation, only making sure this was not the dumbest fight he had ever chosen.
The Jade Dragon laughed, the sound rolling across the storm like collapsing mountains.
"You have already chosen," the dragon said while lifting its head toward the sky. "Now we survive."
Above them the six Executors moved. Each one raised a hand and the radiant rings responded instantly as white energy poured downward like celestial gates opening. The central Executor spoke, its voice echoing across the sky like a verdict carved into reality.
"Final eradication protocol initiated."
Long Hao blinked and muttered that it sounded bad. The Jade Dragon roared as emerald lightning exploded outward and ordered him to move.
Both dragons surged upward.
At that exact moment the rings fired.
Six beams of divine energy tore downward from the sky, not narrow attacks but columns of annihilation wide enough to erase entire city blocks. The beams slammed into the battlefield and the sky exploded as shockwaves ripped through the clouds like nuclear detonations.
Below, the Eight barely remained standing. Han threw his arms over his head as the blast flattened three entire blocks of ruined buildings beneath the impact zones. Concrete vaporized, steel melted, and dust clouds erupted across the skyline.
Above the destruction two massive shapes burst through the smoke. The Eclipse Dragon and the Jade Dragon had escaped the blast zones by only meters.
Long Hao glanced back and muttered that the strike definitely would have hurt. The Jade Dragon’s emerald eyes burned brighter as it growled that the Executors were escalating.
Long Hao flexed his claws slowly and lifted his gaze toward the six divine figures.
"Yeah. They’re not holding back anymore."
Above them the Executors spread out as their formation shifted. Each figure moved to a different position around the battlefield, not randomly but strategically.
Long Hao frowned.
"...That’s not good."
The Jade Dragon spoke quietly, explaining that they were preparing a hunting formation.
Long Hao blinked.
"A what?"
The dragon did not answer.
Because the Executors moved.
Two of them shot downward instantly. Their movement was not explosive but smooth and effortless, appearing beside the Eclipse Dragon before Long Hao could react. One raised its hand as the air warped and a blade of radiant energy formed instantly in its palm.
The Executor swung.
Long Hao barely raised his claw in time.
CRASH
The impact detonated across the sky and the force blasted him backward through the clouds. The second Executor followed immediately as its wings expanded and a spear of white light formed in its palm before launching forward like a meteor.
Long Hao twisted sideways as the spear tore past his wing and exploded against the clouds behind him, ripping the sky apart.
Below, Han cursed that the Executors were fast while Nyx answered that they were not fighting like soldiers but executing a protocol.
Above them Long Hao steadied himself midair and muttered that the strike actually stung. The two Executors hovered across from him without emotion, simply observing.
Then the first one spoke.
"Combat resistance recorded."
Long Hao snorted that they sounded like machines.
The Executors did not react. Instead both raised their hands and the air around Long Hao bent instantly as gravity multiplied. Invisible pressure slammed into the Eclipse Dragon from every direction.
Long Hao grunted as the crushing force tightened.
"...Okay! That trick again!"
Inside his mind the system pulsed violently.
[DIVINE SUPPRESSION FIELD DETECTED]
Long Hao clenched his claws as black-gold energy surged through his body.
"Eclipse Domain!"
Dark energy erupted outward like a collapsing star and the suppression field cracked. One of the Executors slid backward slightly as Long Hao burst free of the pressure.
"Yeah," he muttered while rolling his neck. "That’s not working twice."
But suddenly the sky darkened.
The Jade Dragon roared.
Long Hao turned.
Four Executors had surrounded the Jade Dragon while radiant chains of light stretched across the sky like massive webs. Each chain connected between the Executors, forming a glowing lattice around the emerald dragon.
The Jade Dragon slammed into the structure as emerald lightning exploded across the battlefield.
But the chains held.
The central Executor spoke again.
"Anchor suppression phase two."
The lattice tightened and the Jade Dragon’s wings trembled slightly.
Long Hao’s eyes widened.
"...Oh hell no."
The Eclipse Dragon surged forward as black-gold energy erupted across the sky.
"Void Eclipse Breaker!"
His claws slammed into the radiant lattice and the impact cracked several lines of divine light. The Executors reacted instantly as two of them turned toward him again and their wings expanded.
Six blades of white energy formed around them.
Long Hao grinned.
"...So that’s how this is going to be."
He flexed his claws slowly.
Then the Eclipse Dragon roared.
The sky shattered again. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
And the war between Sovereigns and Heaven escalated into something far more brutal.
