My Happy Dragon Life With Supernatural Girls-Chapter 73. Lily’s First Adorable Act Of Disobedience.
Lily rushed over to Aster with Astrid following behind her.
The two of them hurried over to find him sprawled lifelessly across the Queen’s giant bed.
His face was shoved into a pillow and Lily could hear him groaning softly into it.
"Ugh..."
"Big brother, what happened to you?" She asked with a worried look on her face.
Aster lifted one finger feebly as he replied. "Ugh... Training... Ripper... MUSCLE... death..."
Lily and Astrid’s brows creased in confusion as they wondered what he meant by those words. Meanwhile, Vivian giggled softly as she stepped into the room.
"Your big brother is exhausted dear. He simply needs to rest now."
"Ohh..." Lily nodded in understanding.
"Alright, dear. It’s time for you to sleep as well." Vivian kissed Lily’s cheeks as she pulled the little girl closer.
"B-but?"
"No buts. If you want to play with Astrid, you’ll have to do that in the morning. Okay, dear?"
"Okay." Lily nodded in understanding and she snuggled closer to her mother as she settled in for a really good sleep.
Although reluctant at first, Astrid managed to squeeze into the bed as well and all four of them fell asleep together.
The next morning, Aster left the castle very early as usual.
His training had been yielding some really good results, making him very eager to wake up the next morning so he could train and work hard.
Moreover, whenever he snuggled with his mother while sleeping, Aster always felt happy, strong, and refreshed the next morning. Thus, it was slowly becoming a habit of his to leave early in the morning to get in more training.
Of course, he knew that he should be focused on making his mother and sister happy right now. But Aster also condidered the fact that he could really increase their happiness level if he were to participate in the tournament and do really really well.
By winning the tournament or performing really well in it, his mother and sister would definitely be impressed by him and Aster was confident their happiness level would increase exponentially as well.
So, his mind was made up on growing stronger and doing really well in the upcoming tournament.
That was how Aster spent the next couple of days, leaving home really early for training and returning during dinner time to eat and sleep.
This routine continued for four days and once again, the handsome dragon prince was nowhere to be found in the castle.
He was currently having another training session with Hallie and would be having another one with Sara later in the day.
Meanwhile, Lily and Astrid were in Vivian’s bedroom resting on the large sized bed.
Both ladies’ hands and feet were spread wide as they stared at the ceiling, seemingly lost in thought while staring blankly at the crystal chandelier that lit up the entire room.
With nothing else to do, Lily was really bored and so was Astrid.
"Ugh... I’m so bored." Lily uttered tiredly.
"Me too." Astrid said as well, but she had a smile on her face.
For the past few days, Astrid had been smiling a lot more than usual, and she was definitely enjoying the experience since she had arrived in the Dragon Queen’s Castle.
It wasn’t that she didn’t smile at all while she was in her mom’s castle, it’s just that she always spent most of her time alone, so she never really had anyone to call a friend. So it felt really good to be having someone to smile with.
"Ugh... I wonder what big brother is doing right now." Lily lamented with a groan and a tired voice.
"I think he should still be training right about now."
"Yeah, he likes to train a lot."
Astrid smiled and said. "Don’t worry, you will also be doing something like that in the future."
"Yeah, I know, because I want to be strong just like Mama. I’m sure I’m going to like training a lot. But what about you?"
"What about me?"
"Since you’re so strong, does it mean you like training with your mom too?"
"Um, I guess you could say that?"
Lily noticed the way Astrid had replied, so she tilted her head with a puzzled look on her face. "You don’t like it?"
"No, I didn’t say that. It’s just, I had no choice but to train because my mom wanted me to. Isn’t that the same for Prince Astaroth too?"
"Um no, I don’t think so. Big brother just wanted to grow stronger and that’s why he’s training really hard with Hallie, Sara, and Cara."
"So, he isn’t doing it because Her Majesty asked him to do it?"
"Well, yes, um no? I don’t know. Your question is confusing me."
Astrid giggled and apologized for asking her a question that was too complicated for a little princess of her age. "I’m sorry."
"It’s fine. Anyways, what do you think? Do you wanna sneak out of the castle and find out what big brother is doing?"
"But I thought we knew what he was doing. Prince Astaroth is currently...."
"I know, but aren’t you bored just staring at the ceiling and doing nothing?"
Astrid pondered over what Lily said and she could definitely understand how Lily was feeling right now, because she was certainly interested in finding out if Aster was having fun while training or if he was getting his ass whooped by Hallie or anyone else that he was sparring with.
Moreover, her primary objective in the Dragon Queen’s castle was to gauge Aster’s current strength and since she had never gotten the chance to do so until now, Astrid decided that now would be the best time to carry out her mother’s task.
But there was one very important detail she and Lily hadn’t addressed yet.
"But what about your mother? Are we going to tell her that we’re leaving the castle?"
"Nope." Lily replied firmly.
"Huh? You’re not? But won’t Her Majesty be unhappy if she finds out that you are sneaking out of the castle without letting her know?"
"Mama won’t find out because we’ll be fast about it. We’ll sneak out of the castle and return home before she’s done with her work."
For days now, Lily had been asking Vivian to allow her to visit her big brother, but Vivian hadn’t agreed, and that was why she was determined to do it today, regardless of the fact that her mother had asked her not to bother her big brother while he was training.
But now that Vivian was busy with other things, Lily saw this as her chance to act.
Recently, Vivian always had a lot of work to do, so she spent a lot of her time in her study room and Lily knew that whenever Vivian started to work in her private study, she would usually be done by sunset.
That was what Lily had observed ever since she moved into the Dragon Queen’s castle and that was why she felt that her plan was going to work.
In fact, she was convinced that it would really work. But Astrid was still worried about a few things.
"How are we going to leave the castle? The castle is really high above the city and it would be difficult for just the two of us to leave the castle without anyone finding out."
Since Aster was currently training in the garrison, along with Hallie, that meant he wasn’t in the castle, but that also meant that Lily and Astrid would have to find a way to steal a carriage without anyone in the castle, suspecting a thing.
But how were they going to do such a thing when it was only the two of them trying to sneak out of the castle?
Hearing this, Lily giggled cutely. "Hehehehe ~ who said we’re going to be the only ones leaving the castle."
"What do you..." Astrid paused mid-sentence when she noticed Lily turning around with a mischievous smile on her lips.
"Cara, are you there?" Lily asked and Astrid blinked twice as she wondered why Lily would say such a thing when they were clearly the only ones in the room.
Yes, she knew Cara was a phantom banshee, but since she had arrived, Astrid had always noticed that the beautiful banshee stood at the edge of the room, awaiting orders and instructions.
Astrid had never seen Cara conceal her appearance whenever she was playing with Lily
If Cara were to do so, doesn’t that mean she was spying on her princess?
And there was no way Cara would do such a thing right?
’Right?’
This was what Astrid thought but she swiftly waved such thoughts away and noticed that there was no one in the room aside from she and Lily.
"Lily, there’s no one in the room."
"No, she is. I’m certain of it. You’re here Cara, aren’t you?"
Astrid looked around and noticed that there really wasn’t anyone in the room and so, she turned toward Lily to let her know that they really were the only ones in the room.
But before she could open her mouth to speak, Astrid suddenly felt a chilling sensation creeping up from behind and then, she heard Cara’s voice sounding from her back.
