My First Love Died, Now My Step Uncle Wants Me-Chapter 130: Wanting to Kiss Him
She was like a little cub on its first hunt, unsure how to capture her prey. All she knew was to gnaw clumsily at his lips, just as he usually did to hers.
Her small tongue traced the line of his thin lips, each touch igniting a fire within him.
As she kissed him, her hand also strayed to where it shouldn’t.
Caleb Rhodes narrowed his eyes, letting her do as she pleased with him.
’But this little thing’s kissing technique is more like clumsy biting. So inexperienced.’
He was very satisfied with this.
’She must have never kissed anyone before me.’
Although she had suffered greatly those past few years, it was also for that reason that no man had dared to approach her.
According to all the information he had gathered, only one neighbor had ever helped her, but that neighbor had left Elysian City four years ago, after his parents died.
In other words, during all her years with the Rhodes Family, Nina Wynn had practically no friends besides Noelle Landon.
This suited his requirements perfectly.
He wanted to be her only friend in this world, her only family, the only person she could rely on.
’It might sound a bit pathetic, but he would give her everything!’
’With him, she shouldn’t need anyone else!’
At this thought, he pressed a hand to the back of her head, bit back at her lip, and began to take control of everything.
Nina Wynn cried out in pain and pulled away.
Her gaze was still timid. "Caleb Rhodes, be gentle. That hurts!"
Caleb Rhodes pressed the pad of his thumb against her soft lips and murmured, "Tell me, what are you thinking?"
She nibbled his finger and said softly, "Seeing them like that... it made me a little happy."
"And when you’re happy, you want to kiss me?"
A faint blush crept up Nina Wynn’s face. She didn’t know why, but just now, she’d suddenly wanted to kiss him, to have the most intimate connection with him.
The events of the day had made her realize that the day of her departure was drawing ever closer, and her time with Caleb Rhodes was growing shorter and shorter.
Just moments ago, she had been trying hard to push those thoughts away, telling herself over and over that it was almost over, that she was leaving soon.
’Rosalind Lowell stepped on her severed finger. So, is it really too much for me to have her man for a few days?’
At this thought, the ache in Nina Wynn’s heart eased a little.
She lowered her head as the tips of her ears began to burn. Her soft little hand once again slid inside his shirt. Her voice was gentle. "A little."
Caleb Rhodes grabbed her wrist, his eyes narrowing.
A dangerous atmosphere slowly filled the enclosed space.
He looked at her lips, glistening from their kiss, and his voice was a little hoarse. "Are you sure you want to do this here?"
Nina Wynn didn’t speak. Slowly, she pulled down her inner layer of clothing.
Caleb Rhodes only needed one look before his breathing became heavy.
’This little vixen will be the death of me one day!’
In the hotel parking lot, in the dead of night, the black Rolls-Royce shook for a long time.
Because it was so early in the morning, no one noticed what was happening.
The car finally stopped shaking when a thick layer of snow had settled on its roof.
The air inside the car was thick with a sensuous scent and the light panting of the aftermath.
Nina Wynn clung to Caleb Rhodes’s neck, a pliant puddle in his arms.
That was the first time she had truly let go.
It was also the first time she understood what it meant to get a taste for something and want more.
’So it turns out, all those things in movies and novels... they’re real.’
’When you’re willing, when you’re not being forced, everything is different.’
Caleb Rhodes hadn’t expected this little thing to have such a wild and uninhibited side. In the heat of passion, when she had called out "Caleb Rhodes" again and again, it had nearly driven him to his breaking point.
’When her soft, small voice was colored with desire, it was enough to make anyone lose control.’
He kissed her sweat-dampened hair, his voice as hoarse as it could be. "Satisfied?"
Nina Wynn had no strength left in her body, and certain places ached terribly. Still, she struggled a little and protested softly, "Stop it! Don’t say that!"
Caleb Rhodes nibbled on her earlobe. "You were calling my name just a moment ago. Why stop now?"
Nina Wynn didn’t dare look at him!
It had been utter madness. She had been like a wild horse that had slipped its reins, riding him freely. She even felt that the person just now wasn’t her, that she had been bewitched by Caleb Rhodes!
She buried her face in his shoulder, panting slightly, her voice incredibly soft. "My legs are like jelly. Carry me up."
Caleb Rhodes wrapped her completely in a blanket and headed straight upstairs.
After a quick cleanup, he tucked her into bed.
Nina Wynn fell asleep almost the instant she touched the bed.
Seeing that she was asleep, Caleb Rhodes left the room and began making calls in the living room.
"Get the video we obtained and post it!"
"By tomorrow afternoon, I want to see this news trending!"
"Also, there’s someone named Jenny Collins, the daughter of the Rhodes Family’s housekeeper. Pull all her recent spending records and social interactions."
...
When Nina Wynn woke up, it was already the next afternoon.
It was the best sleep she had gotten in years.
There was no Evan Chapman in her dreams, no mother, and certainly no one who had bullied her.
She shifted, feeling that the soreness in her body had eased quite a bit.
She suddenly remembered that in a half-asleep state, she seemed to recall Caleb Rhodes applying medicine to her.
Thinking about *where* he had applied the medicine made her face flush slightly. She quickly grabbed her phone and saw that it was already 2:30 in the afternoon.
Caleb Rhodes was gone, but there was a note from him on the bedside table.
It read just six words: "Call me when you wake up."
The six concise words were written in an elegant, slender script. The handwriting was powerful yet refined, as handsome and distinguished as the man himself.
Nina Wynn stared at the small note for a long time before tucking it away, slipping it into a phone case she’d never used.
She thought for a moment. ’Caleb Rhodes is probably in a meeting at this hour. It might not be a good time to call.’
So, she opened WeChat, found Caleb Rhodes, and sent him a message: "Caleb, are you in a meeting?"
While waiting for a reply, she noticed that Caleb Rhodes had changed his profile picture.
It used to be a solid black background, but now it was a picture of a little bear—completely out of character for him!
Moreover, the little bear picture looked familiar, as if she had seen it somewhere before!
Thinking she had the wrong person, she quickly tapped on it to take a closer look.
It was definitely Caleb Rhodes’s WeChat; all her chat records with him from the past few days were there.
She stared at his profile picture in a daze for a moment, feeling that something was strange.
’What kind of grown man uses a picture of a little bear for his profile?’
But then again, Caleb Rhodes had always been hard to figure out. She often saw news reports about him investing in a certain company one day, only to kick it to the curb a few days later.
It had been the same when she first joined the Rhodes Family. One moment he was telling her to treat the Rhodes’ home as her own, and the next he was saying she had nothing to do with them.
So, even if he were to use a picture of a princess for his profile, it probably wouldn’t be that strange.
He must have been truly busy, because it was quite a while before Caleb Rhodes’s call came through.
His voice was still cool and deep. "You’re awake?"
