My Favorite Game Followed Me!-Chapter 677
Chapter 677
Anton, while lying in his bed inside his tiny wooden house that he retrieved from his inventory, thought of the fact that he had never encountered anyone who was not fascinated by the movies, television shows, and anime that he had shown the people of this world. He knew that if this world were peaceful and there was no grand enemy on the horizon wanting to conquer everything in sight, he would have focused on the cultural aspect that his Diablo II system had graciously granted him.
He would have been content in sharing the culture of Earth, creating friends centered on shallow things like the media from Earth, cosplay, and even creating their own content. Of course, Anton would not neglect the primary benefit that his Diablo II system had given him, which was to provide him with power, and then maybe someday, he would have the power to create a portal back to Earth.
Not that he had anyone he desired to go back to, but it would be interesting for the cultures of the two dimensions to be shared with each other, and maybe someday, this world would become something like a magitech world. That would have been seriously interesting.
Right now, though, it was just a dream. Still, with all the advantages that his Diablo II system had been providing him, Anton knew that he should dispel all the negativity that he was wallowing in like some emo teenager filled with angst. Yes, there was a powerful enemy, but there were also powerful beings against them.
After five hours of sleep, Anton woke up. When he exited his tiny wooden house, he saw that the three sea-elves were still asleep. He thought of the fact that there were still beings on this world that he had not seen before. Anton thought it would be nice just to explore the world and meet different friendly species, and at the same time share the beauty of otaku culture with them.
Ever since he started to travel with his family in this world, he had seen different kinds of people like elves, dwarves, halfings, orcs, lizard-folk, and more. It should have been a magical experience. He was in a fantasy world for crying out loud, but the fact was, a large part of his world revolved around running away from the undead. He felt sad for a bit, but then he tried to disperse it. Anton did not want the emo feelings filling him again.
Soon, the sea-elves woke. Anton assumed they had felt him watching them. Before they became fully aware of their surroundings, Anton prepared food for everyone. He still did not want to eat sashimi.
“Good morning, guys. Do you want to join me for breakfast?” Anton said when the three sea-elves rose from their bed.
“We’ve only slept for a couple of hours. We spent the time talking about that magical play that you’ve shown us,” Barathol admitted.
Anton noticed that Barathol was the more forthcoming of the three of them. Based on their behavior, he concluded that the three sea-elves were just teenagers, just like his age-sake.
The three sea-elves did join him for breakfast.
“Are you planning to return to New Drennor immediately?” Xenopehelle asked.

“No. I’ll return later in the afternoon. I would really like for you to guide me to the most awesome sights one could see under this part of the ocean,” Anton said.
“It’s still dark, though, but we can use magic lights to light the surrounding area, since soon, daylight will arrive. You are correct in your assumption that there’s no predator nearby that could threaten us,” Cravonille said.
So after breakfast and after they had attended to their bodily needs, they jumped toward the pool that led deep into the ocean. It was still dark, but Xenopehelle cast a spell that produced a single light orb. Anton felt that it was not enough, but he did not know if his Fire Bolt light would work underwater, so he searched his inventory for a light spell among the many support spellbooks that he purchased, and he found several spellbooks of the same spell with different iterations. He chose one of them randomly, and after a couple of minutes of memorizing within his Diablo II system, he was able to cast it so he did.
Several little light orbs appeared, and with a thought, Anton dispersed them in the surrounding area, making a large part of the area around them much brighter. The tiny lights followed them, and they did look beautiful, like tiny floating fairies. According to the spellbook, it should last for a minimum of five minutes or until the mage disperses them, as long as the mage who cast the spell was powerful enough.
“That’s a nice spell,” Xenopehelle said.
Anton found it weird that they could talk underwater. Apparently, it's part of the underwater breathing spell that allowed him to do so. Xenopehelle did need to cast a spell to talk, though, and Anton did not know which spell it was.
The three sea-elves led him to a field underwater filled with corals. Xenopehelle asked Anton to dispel the magic light, so he did, and after a few seconds, the corals glowed bright enough to light up the surrounding area. It was beautiful, and they could only be seen at night.
Apparently, there were so many sights that could only be appreciated in the dark. The issue was, the way between those sights was truly dark, and there were predators that attacked in the dark, but then again, the three sea-elves were powerful enough to neglect the attackers, much less Anton, with his overpowered defenses.
Anton discovered that with companions, his apprehension regarding large open spaces lessened considerably, so he knew that more than likely, he did not have a true phobia, but just regular fear.
The good thing about the sights in the dark was that all of them glowed. It was truly magical, and he was thankful that the sea-elves found him. They were happy enough to guide him as thanks for the movies that he shared with them.
Soon, the daylight surrounded the water, and the sights that the three sea-elves guided him changed, but all of them were truly beautiful. They even told him which fish were delicious and urged him to capture some. He admitted that the main reason why he did not touch any fish was that he did not really like seafood. The only seafood that he liked was the tentacles of the Kraken, which were defeated when it attacked the ship Amelia, but that was a powerful, magical underwater monster.
The sea-elves admitted that most magical sea-monsters were delicious, but it was dangerous to hunt them.
“Well, we did not hunt the Kraken. It attacked our ship. It was truly delicious, though,” Anton said while reminiscing about the kraken’s taste.
When one of the sea-elves asked why he did not like seafood, Anton just shrugged. They looked shocked, though, which made Anton laugh.
He did eat seafood and was not averse to eating it, but he still preferred meat. After a few more hours of exploring the sea, Anton said goodbye to the three sea-elves. They thanked him again for allowing them to see a magical play from another dimension and wished that they would meet again in the future. Anton swam above, and when he reached the surface, he could not see any land. He briefly checked his compass, flew up, and headed towards the direction where New Drennor was located based on his memory.
Anton’s flight was extremely fast because he utilized a second spell to push himself. It still took him three hours before he saw New Drennor. He cast the Invisibility spell to avoid alarming anyone and hoped that the wizards of New Drennor would not attack him.
