My Favorite Game Followed Me!-Chapter 668
Chapter 668
Anton woke up the next day feeling refreshed. He had to admit he needed the vacation since it made him unwind from all the stress that he had been feeling. Sadly, he would need to return to fighting the undead in a few days.
At first, he thought that he could take a break for as long as he wanted as long as the defense force did not need him, but apparently, there was a record that he was on vacation for just a week. More than likely, Captain Nando would look for him if he did not return from the one-week vacation he had requested.
Even though he slept late due to Anton reading a web novel until the wee hours of the morning, he still woke up early, feeling like he had slept for a long time. After doing his morning ablutions, he decided to return to the Rose Manor, since he had forgotten to give the magic corals that he had purchased from the aquarium that had the same effects as his Pearl of the Ocean to his father.
The moment he arrived in his room, Anton cast the Blizzard spell, turned into Mana Rain, and as expected, Raymond arrived with breakfast. Thankfully, Anders followed him. He half expected his father to have already delved into the dungeons.
“Thank goodness, I caught you. I thought you’d be in the dungeon,” Anton said to his father.
“We’re going later this afternoon and will stay for at least four days,” Anders replied.
“Are you not giving your men vacation days?
“They had a lot of vacation days! Every time I delve into the dungeon alone, I give them the time to do whatever they want, but usually, they would just delve into the upper floors. Unfortunately, with me not there, they had to mind their safety, so they earn very little compared to when they’re with me. Everyone would actually complain every time I announce my intention to delve alone,” Anders said, and Anton laughed.
While Anton was eating the breakfast that Raymond had prepared, he told his father that he would return to battling the undead in a few days.
“I thought you were enjoying your vacation. Why would you return to battle so fast?”
“Apparently, my captain submitted a report that I requested a one-week vacation. Captain Nando would probably look for me if I don’t report after my vacation week is done.”
After that, Anton gave the magic corals to his father, telling him that they had the same function as the Pearl of the Ocean. He also asked his father to mail the second coral to Anna. The item excited Anders, saying that with the corals, they would need less time for sleeping.
Acter that, Anton returned to his suite in New Drennor. When he went out of his room, he saw that Kirk and the others were just entering the suite.
“Anton, we’ve successfully memorized our third novice spell!” Kirk said.
“Okay. Let’s go shop for more. We’ll also purchase a couple of level one spells for each of you,” Anton replied.
Anton was then told that once the innkeeper and his family, and Tess and her parents had left last night, the four started memorizing the spell to take advantage of Anton’s presence in the suite. They had finally realized that it was needed since Anton would not always be around them.
“I’m sorry about that. My family does have a couple of legendary items that have the same effects as the spell that I’m using, which will hasten the spell memorization rate of wizards, but they’re being used by my father and my sister.
Mesono delicately asked why they didn’t just share, and Anton told them that while his father was in the family manor or in the high-level dungeons, his sister was in one of the magic academies in Ormunda.
“How large is your family manor?” Abdul asked curiously.
Anton proudly answered the young man and described to them the manor that he had purchased using his earnings from delving into the high-level dungeon. He described to them the magical gardens that were providing the best flowers in Ormunda to one of their businesses, which was the flower shop. He then described the fruit orchard that was providing the best fruit products to one of their family businesses.
“I have a spell that produced a mana-saturated rain that caused the flowers and the fruits to grow extremely fast. Not only that, the flowers and the fruits were enhanced by magic, so they were the best,” Anton boasted.
Anton also told the guys that the most profitable business that the family currently had was the cinema, which was showing the movies that Anton had been providing.
“Lucky you since you’ve been watching my movies for free,” Anton said with a smile.
He told them a little about the mechanics of the cinema, but Anton did not know a lot of information since, ever since it started, he had not even gone to the cinema once.
After their talk, they went outside to purchase the spells Anton had promised them. While they were shopping, Anton laughed out loud when Kirk, Mesono, Omar, and Abudl requested mage robes. Apparently, wearing them signified their status upgrade from normal people to wizards.
“Are there any rules about wearing mage robes?” Anton suddenly asked, since he actually kept wearing mage robes, and nobody questioned him.
“Based on what we’ve seen and heard, the mage robes should contain the badge of the magic school or the emblem of the wizard that you’re apprentice to,” Kirk said.
“I’ve never worn those, and no one ever questioned me,” Anton said, and Kirk just shrugged.
On second thought, Anton had never hidden his ability to cast spells and would always do so when he wanted, and more than likely, that was the reason why no one questioned his status as a wizard. The only form of identification that he currently had was his Adventurer Token that he received when he joined the Adventurer Guild and climbed the ranks. He also had his Ormunda Citizens token, but that was it. He did not have anything with him that identified him as a wizard.
Anton then thought of what that wizard with the guards did, wherein the man whipped out a crystal ball immediately to check his credentials. That meant that anyone who needed to verify his wizard identity would be a wizard, and anyone official could easily access his records.
“I think our family had some sort of badge or something, but you will need to talk to Raymond, the family butler, to have that,” Anton told the guys.
They did buy some mage robes since they wanted ones, and Anton was generous enough to purchase those that had magical effects. They bought the ones that could clean themselves automatically. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
They purchased three more novice spells for each of the guys, since usually, a novice wizard would only need five or six novice spells before their mana capacity would allow them to start memorizing level one spells. Then they purchased a couple of level one spells for each of them.
Anton had to pay thousands of gold coins, which made Kirk and the others quiet.
“What’s wrong with you? Why so quiet?” Anton asked them.
“We did not realize how costly it would be,” Kirk said, and the others nodded.
“You all knew that becoming a wizard would be extremely costly. Again with the contract that you’ve signed, I promised that I will support your growth as long as you don’t violate our agreement to guard the family for thirty years after you four become archmages,” Anton said.
The four sighed, and after that, they returned to becoming very excited at the robes they had purchased and the spellbooks they bought. They could not even wait to return to the inn and donned the mage robes while they were in the shop.
