Chapter 64: Hotel Deliciae

The event would be held in one of the luxury hotels in Northbay City—Hotel Deliciae. It was also the most lavish hotel owned by the Wilson Group and was known to be meticulous when it comes to accepting events.

They did not allow anyone to rent Hotel Deliciae; it was exclusively used by its members only. So it made them wonder how could someone like Juliano Garcia was able to get a slot at the hotel.

"How did the Garcia Clan get the approval from the Wilson Group? Aren’t you the one who handles the operation of the hotel?" Caden asked Lucas.

Lucas shook his head. "No. It’s just one of the hotels under Wilson Group, but I don’t handle the transactions of all the hotels."

"Then who is it?" Brie asked.

"It’s under Aunt Emily. Remember, Dad and Aunt Emily started the hotel business years ago. The hotels are under the Wilson Group, but the entire management is being handled by her." Lucas explained.

Caden glanced at Elijah, who was sitting in the front seat.

"I swear I have no idea. Mom handles her business here in Northbay on her own. But Dad took her to visit the King of England and I think they have a few events and ceremonies to attend. They left Flousia a month ago." Elijah said.

Caden knew about it. That was the reason all the king’s duties were assigned to him. He was acting as a regent for the time being.

"Do you know who’s handling it now?" Lucas asked.

"No. But maybe Elisa knows it. She will inherit the hotels, so maybe you should ask her." Elijah commented.

Caden took his phone and sent a message to his cousin.

"Why don’t you call her instead?" She asked.

"It’s fine. If she knows, she’ll reply right away. But if not, she’ll look into it." Caden said.

They arrived at the hotel five minutes before it started. Reporters from different companies were outside, waiting for people who belonged to the upper class.

As soon as they parked in front of the hotel, all the attention was on them. The family crest of the royal family of Flousia, as well as their flag, was displayed on the car’s front.

Stephen stepped out to open the car for them. It was a rare sight since Stephen was the heir to her mother’s wealth, the Anderson Empire. But now, he served as a driver of the Crown Prince of Flousia.

Lucas and Brie came out first, followed by Caden and lastly, the Crown Princess Alira. She smiled and gracefully greeted the people. Caden held her hand and guided her inside the hotel. The reporters wanted an interview, but Caden politely declined.

A Spanish architect who was a friend of the Queen of Flousia designed Hotel Deliciae. It had four floors with seventy-four rooms, stables for thirty-two horses, an attic, and a broad entrance floored and roofed in white marble tiles. It was a grand building with eight bays along its front.

On the ground floor was a slender walkway with Moorish arches, with the arch on the central bay ascending to the top of the second floor. Iron grilles protected the windows and fontanelles on the lower floor.

The Moorish design was all over the hotel, with its elaborate ornamentation, multicolored tile work and plasterwork arrangements, from abstract geometry to decorative-inspired motifs.

The hotel staff assisted them into the event hall. They were asked to show the invitation and was carefully checked by two men at the entrance.

"I’m sorry, Your Highness. But can we ask who is the other guy?" The man was talking about Elijah.

Caden leaned forward and whispered something in the man’s ear. The man glanced at Elijah in disbelief.

"My apologies, Your Highness." Then he turned to Elijah. "Prince, I’m very sorry. I didn’t recognize you." He bowed.

Inside the hall, it was indeed a grandiose event, with the rich and famous as its guests. A sudden feeling of uneasiness filled her when they stepped inside the hall. The eyes and chatters of the people were too obvious not to notice.

"What did you tell the man about Elijah?" She asked Caden to divert her attention to the people around them.

"I told them he’s the youngest child of the Queen. Maybe he thought Elijah was the heir to the hotel, and not Elisa." Caden chuckled.

She giggled. But she knew it was a forced laughter.

"Relax. I’m here. Don’t mind them, and just focus on me." Caden winked.

She didn’t realize her restlessness was too obvious. Or maybe only Caden could see it because he knows her very well.

A man in a white suit approached them and was smiling widely at them. He reached out his hand to Caden before greeting him.

"Juliano Garcia. It’s an honor to finally meet you, Your Highness."

Caden greeted him back with a smile. "Thank you for the invitation. It’s my first time in an antique exhibit. I am hoping to enjoy the night and get something for my fiance. You know her, right? This is Alira Eleanor Wilson."

Juliano shifted his attention to her. She didn’t want to be touched by any man, but Juliano seized her hand and kissed it. It was just a greeting, but she also felt Caden’s anger toward the man’s action. She quickly took her hand away and forced herself to smile.

"I’m sure you’ll get something for your gorgeous fiance. We have a rare piece for such a beautiful lady." Juliano grinned.

What he talking about the black diamond? She thought inwardly.

"I’m very excited to see it." Caden calmly said.

"Then let me take you to the best seat at this event."

Caden nodded. "Oh, by the way, I assume you know Lucas of Wilson Group and Miss Aubrey Cross."

Juliano seemed surprised to see Lucas and Brie who just walked in. His eyes glittered from excitement and looked so proud with the Crown Prince, the Wilson Twins, and the heiress of Cross Airlines in his presence.
