She glared at him. "It’s your fault. Your flirting with Samantha."

He frowned then crossed his arms on his chest.

"I’m not flirting with anyone. I can’t just ignore her because she’s your friend. Do you want me to tell her to stay away from me? I’m already annoyed with her anyway. I just don’t want to humiliate her." He explained.

She sighed. "I really think she likes you. She’s my friend, but it’s pissing me off that she’s ignoring her boyfriend and openly flirting with you."

He nodded. "Well, I can’t blame her. Your boyfriend is really hot." He winked.

She rolled her eyes and slapped his arm. "I’m serious. I’m really pissed."

Caden chuckled. "So what do you want to do? Should I talk to her or you will talk to her?"

"I don’t know yet. If I confront her because I’m jealous, then I’ll just embarrass myself. Samantha is a good friend, so maybe she’ll tell me. For now, can you stay by my side and don’t let go of my hand?" She asked.

He smiled then took her hand to kiss it. "You have a good heart, Alira. That’s what I love about you."

She smiled. "Can you put the necklace on me?"

"Your wish is my command, Princess."

She turned around when Caden took the necklace. Her heart was full not because of the necklace he gave her, but because she felt Caden’s love along with it.

"Think of it as my heart. You owned it and no one could take it away from you." He whispered before kissing her on the nape.

She moaned when she felt him sucking her skin.

"Hey, someone might notice it." She said in a hoarse voice.

"Don’t worry. Your hair would cover it." He said then put another mark on her.

She was startled when someone growled behind them.

"You really don’t know the meaning of the word privacy." It was Lucas.

"Lucas!" She blushed.

Lucas was shaking his head when she looked at him. Caden had an annoying smirk on his face.

"Why are you so in love with this pervert?" Lucas ranted.

"She’s not the only one likes me. You like me a lot right, Lucas?" Caden grinned.

"I like you more when we were kids. Now, you look like a gangster to me."

She couldn’t stop herself from laughing. She took his brother’s hand and Caden’s with a wide smile on her face.

"I’m glad I have you two." She said.

Lucas finally smiled. "You’re lucky to have me as your twin. And you, as your best friend, can you at least be careful? What if Brie came instead of me? She was looking for you."

Caden raised his hands in surrender. "Fine. Fine. I just gave her a gift so I dragged her here. How about you? Did you find anything for Brie?"

She frowned, looking at Lucas with confusion. Then she turned to Caden to find some answer.

"You didn’t notice? Your brother is in love with that girl. He’s just too stupid to admit it." Caden said.

She was surprised and stared at Lucas to see if Caden was telling the truth. Her heart rejoiced when she saw her brother blushed.

"You really are in love with her!" She exclaimed.

"Oh, shut up! No one should know until I confess, understand?" Lucas firmly said.

Caden and her glanced at each other then raised their right hand as promised that they won’t tell anyone.

"When did you realize you love her?" She asked, curiosity piqued.

Lucas sighed. "When she confessed for the first time."

"But why did you reject her?"

Lucas’ eyes became sad. "I don’t know. I was surprised, I guess. I hated her even before meeting her. I kept on telling myself that I would not end up being betrayed. So I rejected her every time she confessed. But the more I reject her, the more I fell in love with her."

"Oh, my! You should tell her before it’s too late." She said.

Lucas nodded. "I know. So I was wondering if you could help me pick something for her? What do you think I should give her?"

"Your heart." She quickly answered.

"What?" Lucas frowned. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺

"Brie would be happy if you tell her what you really feel. She always wanted your heart. You know that." She answered.

They stopped talking when they heard Samantha and Lea’s voice.

"There you are! We’re done shopping and the others are starving." Lea excitedly said but her eyes were fixated on Lucas.

"By the way, your friend, Brie, went out for a bit. She’s with Karl." Samantha smiled.

She glanced at Lucas and saw his jaw clenched. But she couldn’t blame Brie if she had gone with another guy. Lucas was always neglecting her and it was obvious to everyone that he didn’t like her around him.

She nodded. "I see. Let’s wait for them then."

They waited outside the store for an hour. When Karl and Brie came back, she was surprised to see her laughing.

"Where did you go? We’re waiting for you like forever." Samantha sarcastically said.

Karl laughed. "I took her to an arcade because she looked bored. Sorry we didn’t realize we were gone for an hour."

"I’m sorry. I’m not really fond of shopping so I-"

"Whatever! Let’s just go and eat. We already wasted our time." Lucas said and walked ahead of them.

Brie bowed her head and bit her lip. Alira thought she would follow Lucas, but she didn’t.

"Are you okay?" Karl asked Brie.

"I’m fine. Let’s go." Brie whispered.

Caden held her hand and smiled. "They’ll be fine. Don’t worry. Let your brother deal with it."

"But-"

"Alira, he should be the one to tell Brie, not you. I’m sure he won’t let anyone take Brie away from him. Be patient."

"How can you be so sure?" She asked.

"Because we’re the same. He’s my best friend so I know he would not let go of Brie." Caden answered.
