My Dreams Connect to Ancient Times-Chapter 161 - 18: Using the Mediation of Creation to Birth an Innate Great Sun
In his view, the brilliant light of the Great Sun shone upon everything. It was a fundamental truth, a source of life and the development of the heavens and earth. Unsure of how to pioneer this Acupoint, he figured trying to birth a Great Sun within it couldn’t be a mistake.
But...
However, even though he was only creating a nearly microscopic Great Sun within an infinitesimally small Acupoint, the cost far exceeded Lu Xuan’s imagination.
This nearly microscopic Great Sun, if placed in the Current World, wouldn’t even be able to scorch a chair. Yet, the drain on his Essence, Qi, and Spirit was utterly immense!
Three hundred wisps of Bodhi Fruit Skin were being frantically consumed, yet his Essence, Qi, and Spirit continued to drain away at an alarming rate!
Lu Xuan realized something was wrong, but seeing the nascent, ultra-microscopic Innate Great Sun already taking form in the Acupoint, he gritted his teeth and continued to maintain the Mediation of Creation!
’I have to seize the momentum. The first push is the strongest; a second attempt flags, and a third peters out completely.’ 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
Time continued to pass, and his Essence, Qi, and Spirit continued to drain away. The three hundred wisps of Bodhi Fruit Skin were completely consumed, and his own Essence, Qi, and Spirit were once again depleted to a critical point.
Finally.
That ultra-microscopic Innate Great Sun appeared, fully formed, within the Acupoint. It unleashed a heaven-shaking brilliance that illuminated the entire space, dispelling all nothingness, emptiness, darkness, and deathly silence!
The great Acupoint trembled, and the shell of Chaos covering its surface completely shattered into dust.
Immediately, the great Acupoint bloomed with a lustrous glow, projecting itself from the ethereal into the real and illuminating Lu Xuan’s entire Physique!
CRACK!
Amidst the sound of shattering, Lu Xuan’s expression changed drastically. His physical body was cracking apart!
In his state of Supreme Forgetting Emotions, his mind remained unshaken. He frantically absorbed the Heaven and Earth Primordial Qi from the outside world, trying to stabilize his body as it began to collapse, unable to withstand the immense power of the Acupoint.
A radius of a hundred meters... a thousand meters... hundreds of miles!
In the room next door, Chen Ye and Chen Shu, as well as Qing He and Qing Ping, all sat up in their beds. The former two were bewildered, only able to faintly sense the fierce gales stirred up by the surge of Primordial Qi.
The latter two, however, stared in Lu Xuan’s direction with shock and uncertainty, both of them puzzled.
"What in the world is he doing? Is he cultivating?"
Even many powerful figures within the city were startled. A few Celestial Humans floated into the air to survey the scene, only to discover that the ethereal Primordial Qi across all of Langya City had gone berserk and was surging violently toward a single point!
"Is some great elder attempting a breakthrough to the Earth Immortal realm?" one Celestial Human wondered, his heart pounding. Feeling the violent surge of Primordial Qi, his face filled with apprehension.
Far in the distance, the old headmaster of Langya University also took to the sky and said to the few Celestial Humans nearby:
"The Provincial Government hasn’t made a move, so don’t get involved..."
As he spoke, he looked toward the enormous funnel of Primordial Qi, a hint of confusion on his face.
"As for the direction the Primordial Qi is flowing... never mind. It’s best not to investigate."
The range of the Primordial Qi funnel seemed to be expanding still. The Heaven and Earth Primordial Qi had practically converged into a torrential, surging river.
The old headmaster suppressed the worry in his heart. If he remembered correctly, the house he had assigned to young Chen Ye was in that direction... ’But nothing should go wrong, right?’
Judging from the sheer scale of the Primordial Qi, it must be a Great Celestial Human attempting to break through to the Earth Immortal realm. Even if they failed, it wouldn’t cause any major catastrophe.
The Celestial Humans from every quarter watched the massive funnel of Primordial Qi for a moment longer before abandoning any thought of investigating. If they were to disturb the Great Celestial Human’s breakthrough, the resulting sin and enmity would be immense.
「Meanwhile, inside the room.」
Heaven and Earth Primordial Qi continued to pour in, attempting to piece Lu Xuan’s shattered body back together. He too was making a desperate effort, circulating various Dharmas to stabilize his form.
’Why is this happening?’
Doubt rose in Lu Xuan’s mind. As his thoughts churned, he subconsciously activated the Five Divine Passes—Form, Sound, Smell, Taste, and Touch—to try and discern the cause, but he failed.
He didn’t give up. He mobilized Dao Generating One, a Great Divine Technique involving fundamental Cause and Effect. Tiny starlines flickered in his ice-cold eyes as he peered into his own Physique, ’gazing’ at the Acupoint where the Chaos had receded and the Great Sun now hung high.
Following the effect—his body’s collapse—back to its cause, Lu Xuan quickly found the reason.
’Yin and Yang are in opposition, yet they give rise to one another. Solitary yin cannot grow; singular yang cannot be born.’
Lu Xuan gritted his teeth and continued to circulate the Mediation of Creation. His Spiritual Will had already fallen to a critical low, but protected by the Primordial Ancestral Qi, it showed no signs of abnormality or collapse.
His Primordial Qi was also being replenished by the breath of Heaven and Earth surging in from dozens of miles around, so there were no major issues for the time being.
As for his Physique, though it was showing signs of collapse, that was only because it couldn’t withstand the reverberations from the terrifying great Acupoint. After all, it had been personally forged by his Three Masters. The richness of his blood and qi was beyond imagination; even though he was forcefully overdrawing his power to maintain the Mediation of Creation, he had not yet damaged his foundation!
With Lu Xuan barely holding on, the Mediation of Creation circulated once more. Within the Acupoint, directly opposite the microscopic Innate Great Sun, a wisp of moonlight appeared.
The moonlight expanded, splitting into four fine threads. Guided by the Mediation of Creation, they intertwined, finally forming a microscopic moon ten times smaller than the microscopic Great Sun.
Or rather, the Innate Taiyin Star.
Although it was ten times smaller than the microscopic Great Sun, having a dominant yang and a weaker yin was infinitely better than having yang alone. The great Acupoint stopped vibrating, and Lu Xuan’s Physique ceased its collapse, finally stabilizing.
However, the wave of extreme exhaustion that followed dealt him a heavy blow.
THUD!
He fell headfirst onto the bed and passed out.
While he was unconscious, Lu Xuan’s left hand began to glow faintly as his Innate Breath stirred.
Within his body, the newly pioneered Acupoint bloomed with magnificent light. The Innate Great Sun and Innate Taiyin Star inside began to orbit one another, their light illuminating all around them.
Chaos had taken form; Yin and Yang had been divided.
Droplets of profound, mysterious light appeared around the youth’s body. The progress on his Primordial Body surged, and finally, an extremely faint and illusory Dharma Aspect projected itself three inches in front of him.
The Primordial Dharma Aspect.
After just a moment, however, the incredibly faint and illusory Primordial Dharma Aspect shattered—seemingly due to insufficient Cultivation or comprehension. Great splashes of profound light sank back into the youth’s body.
The youth, however, was completely unaware of any of this, snoring softly.
Moonlight streamed through the window, bathing him in its quiet glow.
......
When he awoke again, he was already in the Guardian Storage Room.
The room was just as he’d left it: densely packed with books, tranquil, and serene.
Lu Xuan shook his aching head and gave a wry, silent smile.
"Looks like I really overdid it... Still, there shouldn’t be any major issues. The Yin and Yang have been established."
Then, a look of confusion crossed his face, and he muttered to himself again:
"Strange... The Great Sun I created, and the moon ten times smaller, don’t even compare to one-hundred-millionth of a wisp of the fruit skin, so why was the cost so immense?"
"Even if I were to create a Great Sun of the same scale in the Current World, its light wouldn’t illuminate even a millimeter of space. It probably couldn’t even stir a single speck of dust, right?"
As he muttered to himself, Lu Xuan patted his chest, a lingering fear in his heart.
"To think the cost was that high... The amount of Essence, Qi, and Spirit I just burned through was probably enough to create an entire Peach of Immortality, wasn’t it?"
Shaking his head, he straightened his slightly disheveled clothes and rose gracefully. First, as was his custom, he meticulously wiped down every book in the Guardian Storage Room.
Next, Lu Xuan lit a stick of Sandalwood Incense. He poured himself a cup of hot tea and, surrounded by the swirling fragrance, quietly contemplated the Acupoint in which he had pioneered a Great Sun and a bright moon.
As he contemplated, the stick of Sandalwood Incense—a gift from the Celestial Son of Zhou—burned quietly. Its fragrance flowed as if it were tangible, soothing the mind and spirit. It gradually filled the entire Guardian Storage Room before finally seeping out from under the door.
Outside the Guardian Storage Room, the Eighty-One Armors stood with solemn expressions. Before them were more than a hundred soldiers, their leader dressed in black robes and wearing a pendant of Profound Jade. His aura was deep and imposing.
When Duke Mu of Qin saw the tangible-looking streams of Sandalwood Incense flowing from the crack under the door, his gaze sharpened instantly.
"Lu Zi is back?"
He strode forward abruptly. The Eighty-One Armors moved to block him but were instantly frozen in place, suppressed by his terrifying Grand Grade majesty!
Duke Mu of Qin walked up to the entrance of the Octagonal Four-Sided Tower and knocked lightly on the large door. He announced in a clear voice:
"Ying Renhao, at the request of Zhang Ling, has come to visit Lu Zi!"
