My Dominant Contract Husband Won't Let Me Go-Chapter 722 Can You Forgive Me (2)
Dong Xin Yan’s dark eyes rolled around, suddenly understanding. Her beautiful big eyes blinked, her lips curled up slightly, and then she leaned over, intending to give Gu Ningyi a peck on the cheek.
Just as her lips were about to land, Gu Ningyi suddenly turned his face, and her lips pressed directly onto his.
Dong Xin Yan’s cheeks flushed slightly. She gave Gu Ningyi a fierce glare, pushed him away, and hopped off like a rabbit.
Gu Ningyi lightly touched his lips with his fingertips, feeling the lingering warmth. He curled his lips, and his eyes slowly filled with a trace of a smile.

Dong Xin Yan entered the restaurant and gave the room number. The attendant led her towards the private room.
As they walked, there were pavilions and towers, little bridges, and flowing water. Along the corridor, one red lantern after another was hung.
Dong Xin Yan hadn’t expected the depths of the restaurant to have such an antique feel, so rich in Chinese style.
The attendant welcomed her to the door of the private room, opened the door for her, and Dong Xin Yan stood at the entrance, paused for a few seconds, then took a deep breath, straightened her back, lifted her foot, and walked in.
Inside the private room, Lady Wei was sitting on the sofa, gracefully and naturally brewing tea.
The fragrance of the tea filled the spacious room, making one feel expansive and serene.
Even though she had mentally prepared herself, Dong Xin Yan’s heart still couldn’t stop trembling. Her hands, hanging at her sides, clenched slightly, with a faint sweat seeping from her palms.
"You’re here."
Lady Wei looked up, her gaze falling on her. Her brows were gentle, eyes filled with a smile, her voice soft, "Come and sit."
Dong Xin Yan nodded lightly. She tried to appear as natural as possible, but her steps still seemed somewhat stiff.
She sat down opposite Lady Wei, her body involuntarily sitting upright, eyes to eyes, nose to nose, hands resting on her knees, loosely forming fists.
Lady Wei discreetly observed Dong Xin Yan, her eyes flickering, the smile on her lips deepening.
She could tell that this daughter of hers cared deeply about her mother.
Her longing was clear and evident.
She was actually a bit surprised. After all, when she left back then, she was still very young. After all these years, not only had she not forgotten her, but she also kept thinking about her, loving her, even trying to find her.
She didn’t need all these excess emotions, but now... these feelings would become her greatest weapon.
The weapon to capture her heart.
Lady Wei poured two cups of tea, pushing one of them in front of her, "Have a taste. It’s been a long time since I brewed tea, I’m out of practice."
She paused, her gaze slightly distant, as if recalling the past, "Your father used to love the tea I brewed."
Dong Xin Yan’s tension gradually eased with the mention of past events. She smiled, a hint of tenderness appearing in her eyes, "Yes, Dad liked it, and he would let me drink it too."
Dong Xin Yan picked up the teacup and took a light sip, "The taste is just like before."
"That’s good."
Lady Wei slowly smiled, time leaving no trace on her face. Her gentle smile took Dong Xin Yan vaguely back to her childhood.
She was still the mother who would smile at her tenderly, gently call her Xinxin, and say, "You are mommy’s darling."
Suddenly, she felt a warmth covering the back of her hand. Dong Xin Yan was stunned; it was Lady Wei’s hand. She held her hand, her eyes sincere, and spoke each word with care, "Xinyan, I’m sorry for how I treated you before, but... I had my reasons."
