My Cuckhold System-Chapter 184: Get Them Out
The face of the humanoid creature was incomplete... in a half formed manner that somewhat mirrored part of the dead teammate’s face.
Lines of glowing red energy began to spread across its arms, lighting up in zig-zagged patterns.
The creature raised one arm slowly before swinging.
SHRIIIIIIK!
A massive arc of red energy tore through the air, slicing across the ground and carving a deep trench into the terrain ahead.
The sheer force of it sent debris flying in all directions.
"...What the hell..." Derek whispered in a shaky tone.
West’s eyes narrowed.
"...It evolved Tom’s branch..."
It wasn’t just stronger now, it was far more dangerous than before.
~ "Master, let us out..." ~
Weste could hear his summons, eagerly voicing to be let out.
~ "We can crush it," ~ Seraphyra hissed.
~ "Command me," ~ Aurethia’s calm tone followed.
"No," West stated with a strong tone.
If this was any other scenario, he would have instantly let them out but he decided not to for one very important reason...
If that thing managed to assimilate with even a single one of them or even a fragment of their being... then this situation would spiral completely out of control.
A creature already this powerful, having access to his summons’ abilities?
That wasn’t a fight anymore... it would become a catastrophe.
"Everyone!" West voice cut through the chaos.
"Fall back! NOW!"
He left no room for argument and seeing how disturbing the situation was, they turned around, retreating hastily.
West on the other hand stood in place, scanning the surroundings.
"...Where is it..."
He was looking for something that was constant in most ruins... the anchor.
The anchor was responsible for keeping most no layered ruins tethered to their reality.
Once it was destroyed, the entire ruin would start to collapse in minutes. They would usually leave the anchor untouched until after clearing the ruins of both enemies and loot.
West gaze sharpened as he finally spotted it in the distance embedded within a warped structure.
It was a small growth that resembled some sort of plastic seed, brimming with a strange covered energy.
"...Found you."
Without wasting a second, West shot towards its position.
BOOM!
The ground cracked beneath his feet as he launched forward.
The creature’s head spun towards him as he noticed West and instantly moved.
Fwwwhiii~
Although, it was unaware of what West’s plan was, it just targeted him due to close proximity.
However, West was faster.
He reached the anchor, held the large dark blade and without hesitation...
SLASH!
The core split cleanly in half causing a sharp, piercing sound to echo across the entire ruin.
A small resonating vibration spread through the ground, the air and everything, marking the ruin for collapse.
The creature reached him but West grabbed it by the face, spun around and slammed it into the ground.
His left foot swerved forward in the next instant as he slammed it into the face of the creature, causing it to cave in as its body shot across the air.
Boom!
It slammed into a rocky wall on the other end, causing a crash that caused debris to rain down and bury it once more.
West exhaled slowly.
"...Good." 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
At that moment, everything from hours earlier clicked...
The warnings from the holographic woman saying; "...Don’t go down there..."
"...Containment breach..."
West’s eyes darkened slightly.
"...That thing... was never meant to be here."
West realized that this thing... whatever it was... escaped from the abandoned research facility and descended into the ruins.
It was probably some experiment gone wrong, judging by the state of the research facility... and the appearance of the ruins in this particular location had just helped things get worse.
If it followed them back to the surface... it would be a disaster everyone. Something that was not just dangerous to regular people but also dangerous to awakened as well? This could very well threaten the existence of humanity as a whole.
"...Then it ends here."
West turned taking note of the others were already retreating back to the entrance.
He nodded in satisfaction but also noticed that Jax, Nina, Derek and Jared were hesitating.
"I’m staying," Jax stated immediately.
"So am I," Nina stepped forward as well.
Derek clenched his fists.
"We can help—"
"No."
West’s stated with a cold tone.
"You’re leaving."
Jax frowned.
"You can’t handle that thing alone—"
"I said leave."
West voice radiated with so much authority, they had a strong compelling urge to obey even when they didn’t want to.
West didn’t wait for them to refute him... he raised his hand, summoning Gor’thala, Seraphyra and Aurethia.
All three appeared at once with their massive terrifying but beautiful frames.
"Get them out."
He didn’t utter more than this single command before they got down to work.
Gor’thala grabbed two of them instantly, lifting them like they weighed nothing.
"Move."
Seraphyra’s gaze locked onto Jax and wrapped her tail around him, lifting him while Aurethia followed behind them, calm and unwavering.
"You will comply."
Jax struggled.
"West—!"
Nina reached out.
"Wait—!"
But regardless of how much they tried, it didn’t matter... they were being pulled away forcefully and none were strong enough to contend with any of West summons.
"Don’t—!"
"West!!"
Their voices echoed as they were taken further and further away before they finally vanished out of sight.
West exhaled slowly.
"...Good."
Now, he could fight properly without any distractions.
The humanoid creature leapt out of the debris it was buried under once more, completely unscathed despite West’s earlier attack.
When it saw the others leaving, it moved with inhumane speed towards the retreating group.
It seemed to understood the targets threat levels so it was trying to choose an easier prey.
After all, if it assimilated with two or three more awakeners, there was no doubt that it could become more powerful than West.
"...Not happening."
West moved with an even faster speed than before, activating Radiant Acceleration.
<[ Radiant Acceleration Activated ]>
A sun like glow surrounded his body as he appeared in front of it in an instant.
BAM!
