During his free time recently, Si Bao had taken up other events and was currently in intensive training for them. The room was a complete mess, with stinky socks and dirty clothes strewn everywhere. The moment they opened the door, an indescribable odor wafted out.

Zhang Yuxi stopped at the threshold, unwilling to enter. She bluntly chided her son, "Si Bao, can’t you find a little time to clean your room?"

Standing awkwardly in the doorway, Si Bao said, "Uh, just wait a minute. Let me tidy up before you come in. It’ll be quick, just five minutes!"

"Si Bao, do you eat out for every meal?"

Si Bao nodded. "Yeah. My cooking is terrible, so I just go eat at other people’s places. Dad, don’t worry about it. I can figure out how to fill my stomach. I won’t starve," he assured him.

Lin Feng frowned. "I’ll hire a housekeeper for you. That way, she can cook for you when you’re craving something and also keep this place tidy."

This made Si Bao feel rather embarrassed. He quickly declined, "Dad, I’m a grown man now. I can handle these things myself, so don’t worry, okay? Besides, I have my own money. If I want to hire a housekeeper, I can do it myself."

Lin Feng said simply, "Fine. Then you keep this place clean. If it’s like this the next time I visit, I’m packing up all this junk and throwing it out."

The family rarely saw Lin Feng get angry, nor had they ever heard him speak so harshly. His words were soft, yet they carried an undeniable weight of authority.

The playful expression on Si Bao’s face slowly faded, replaced by a serious one. Realizing he had truly angered his father, he promised, "Dad, I’ll definitely keep it clean from now on."

Lin Feng grunted. "From now on, I’ll be inspecting it during our video calls."

Si Bao nodded. "Mhm."

When she and Lin Feng had a moment alone, Zhang Yuxi asked softly, "Honey, do you think you were too hard on Si Bao just now?"

Lin Feng casually watered the plants on the balcony. "Si Bao is a good kid, but his ability to take care of himself is terrible. It’s an indirect reflection of his poor self-discipline in life. Once everything was in order, they went to the hotel to wait for his coaches. The meal was delightful. His coaches were both straightforward people and had nothing but praise for Si Bao.
