My Charity System made me too OP-Chapter 178: Ruins of Zekrath
Leon looked at the massive Dungeon Portal.
"So, the Ruins is actually a Dungeon," he muttered, nodding as he sighed before stepping inside.
He had come to Ruins of Zekrath, a dungeon with a unique role-playing mechanism, based on the information he had gathered.
This meant that the moment he entered, he wouldn’t just explore ruins—he would experience Zekrath Academy, the once-grand and prestigious Alchemy Academy from ancient times. Instead of ruins, it would feel as if he had truly traveled back in time to when the academy was still thriving.
Inside, he would have to attend alchemy studies, complete lessons, and eventually retrieve the Philosopher’s Ash, a legendary alchemical material.
The moment he entered, a blinding light engulfed his vision.
His senses shifted, his body felt light, and when the brightness faded, he found himself standing in a vast hall along with many other children.
"Great... I’m a kid now," Leon muttered, realizing that he had been transformed into his 12-year-old self.
Looking around, he noticed that everyone else also seemed young, dressed in simple student robes. The grand hall was adorned with towering bookshelves, glowing alchemy circles, and statues of ancient scholars.
It was as if he had truly traveled back in time to the era when Zekrath Academy was still flourishing.
"Welcome, everyone, to this year’s Zekrath Academy Entrance Exam!"
Suddenly, an old man appeared, floating in mid-air, his long robes billowing as he addressed the crowd. His ancient yet powerful voice echoed through the vast hall, and the gathered students’ eyes lit up with excitement and nervousness.
"Now… are you all ready for it?"
As soon as he spoke, the surroundings shifted—the colors drained from the world, turning everything into shades of grey, and an eerie stillness settled over the room.
A system notification appeared in Leon’s vision:
[The Dungeon: Zekrath Academy will now begin. After this, you can truly die.]
[Will you accept the trial or leave the dungeon?]
Leon smirked. "A real-life academy trial, huh?" His eyes burned with determination.
Without hesitation, he selected ’Accept’ and prepared for whatever was to come.
The moment Leon accepted the challenge, a bright red light flooded the area.
"Yes!!" a loud system echo resounded, making some students flinch. The old man nodded with great enthusiasm.
"Good! Now, let’s continue."
With a wave of his hand, the entire hall began to shift—as if a massive puzzle was rearranging itself. The once vast open area transformed, walls reshaped, and countless desks appeared in perfect rows, each with a chair beside it.
"Just grab a seat and sit down," the old man instructed as students hurried to find a place.
Leon calmly picked a desk and sat down, noticing that the students near him looked just as determined—or terrified.
"The first trial is a written exam," the proctor announced. With another flick of his wrist, stacks of exam papers materialized in front of everyone.
Leon glanced down. It was a three-sheet multiple-choice test.
"’Hmmm… it’s based on alchemy theory,’" he thought as he quickly skimmed through the questions.
"You have exactly one hour to complete the test," the old man declared, his voice echoing throughout the hall.
"Your time starts now!"
A massive sand timer appeared in the center of the room, the grains of sand falling steadily as the exam began.
Leon opened the exam paper and began marking the correct answers.
"This is easy," he thought to himself. Normally, this test was meant for Tier 1 or beginner Alchemists, but as a Tier V Alchemist, he could solve it effortlessly. Within half an hour, he was already done.
"Better keep a low profile," he reminded himself. He knew this Dungeon Entrance Exam happened in multiple places, and he wasn’t sure if the other participants were from his world or not. So, he pretended to still be working on the test, acting as if he were just another student taking the exam. Stay tuned with novelbuddy
After half an hour, a voice echoed through the hall.
"Time’s up!" the old man announced as he waved his hand. The exam papers vanished from their desks, neatly stacking themselves on an alchemy table near him.
Leon leaned back slightly, watching the process with mild interest.
"For the practical test, brew a Tier 1 Health Potion, a Mana Potion, and an Anti-Venom Potion," the old man continued. "Each of you must create three batches—one for each category. That means nine potions in total."
"You have three hours to complete it!"
With those words, a large sand timer appeared, counting down the time. The alchemy tables materialized in front of each participant, filled with basic alchemy tools and ingredients.
The practical test had begun.
Leon calmly examined the ingredients provided on the table. Dried herbs, powdered minerals, mana-infused crystals—everything needed for Tier 1 potions was available.
’Basic stuff, but good enough,’ he thought. He didn’t need to rush. Instead, he focused on efficiency and precision, making sure his movements remained smooth and controlled.
Step 1: Preparing the Base
He grabbed a mortar and pestle, crushing the necessary herbs into fine powder while activating his alchemical sense. Unlike beginners who relied on manual measurements, Leon could feel the purity of each ingredient, ensuring he extracted only the best parts.
Step 2: Mixing and Heating
Next, he added the crushed herbs into three separate flasks, each one designated for a specific potion.
For the Health Potion, he used Red Moon Grass for vitality.
For the Mana Potion, he mixed in Blue Spirit Leaves to enhance mana flow.
For the Anti-Venom Potion, he added Serpent Bane Root, a natural antidote to common toxins.

Leon ignited the alchemy burner beneath the flasks, carefully adjusting the heat levels for optimal infusion.
Step 3: Stabilization and Bottling
As the potions bubbled, a golden glow surrounded Leon’s hands—a sign of his high alchemical affinity. Using this, he stabilized the mixtures, ensuring maximum potency without any side effects.
Once done, he poured the liquid into glass vials, sealing them with alchemy inscriptions that preserved freshness.
Completion
Looking around, he noticed most participants struggled with controlling their flames or balancing the potion’s properties. Some had already failed, their mixtures turning into useless sludge.
Leon, on the other hand, had finished with more than two hours remaining.
’Too easy,’ he mused, pretending to check his notes while waiting for the next phase of the exam.
