My CEO Ex: Let Me Go.-Chapter 112
Vivienne’s POV
I had a good night’s sleep, but the next morning, I overslept.
Before Gabriella could tell me that Alexander had gone home last night, I was already rushing off to work.
On my way to the office, I received a notification from Twitter.
The headline read: #EmotionalGossip Deletes Tweets and Apologizes.
The post was trending.
Curious, I clicked on it and saw the apology statement from the "Emotional Gossip" Twitter account. They had deleted all their tweets, disabled comments and retweets, and set the account to be visible for only six months.
Just yesterday, Emotional Gossip had sworn they would never delete their tweets, but today they had crumbled. Something was off—whether it was a threat or a hacked account, it only fueled the backlash from netizens.
Even though they had deleted the tweets and disabled comments, it didn’t help. Some people had already taken screenshots and recorded the posts, creating new threads. Many netizens shared and commented on these, and some even began selling explicit videos using coded language.
"50-minute video of Vivienne’s passionate actions at the hotel. Contact me if interested."
"Vivienne’s explicit video with a client, serious inquiries only."
Along with these rumors came more degrading gossip about me. Some claimed I became a director only because I slept my way to the top, while others said I frequently entertained clients in bed. Some beauty clinics even took the opportunity to advertise, claiming I had undergone intimate plastic surgery there.
Other’s POV
Julian was shooting on location.
The scenes involved a lot of fighting, and the choreography was complex, requiring wire work for many of the moves.
After a few lifts into the air, Julian finally touched the ground and had some time to rest. Staff members approached to remove his safety harness, and his assistant quickly handed him hot water.
After resting for a while, Julian stood up and headed to the public restroom.
The conditions on location were a bit rough, and the restroom was shared by many, but it was fairly clean.
As Julian entered, he overheard a conversation between a few staff members—specifically, crude remarks.
"Didn’t she come last time? She looks pretty slutty."
"How do you know? Did you catch a whiff?"
Laughter echoed from inside.
"I observed her that day. That waist, that butt, it’s irresistible..."
"If it were me, I’d keep her satisfied all night long."
"She has so many clients, you won’t get a chance."
Hearing this, Julian immediately realized who they were talking about.
At that moment, he couldn’t control the rage building inside him. He stormed in, grabbed one of the men by the collar, and punched him hard, sending blood pouring from his nose.
The situation unfolded so suddenly that the others in the restroom were caught off guard.
The man who was hit felt humiliated but didn’t dare fight back. He could only cover his nose and ask, "Mr. Julian, why did you suddenly hit me?"
Julian remained silent, his fists still clenched, as he stepped forward to throw another punch. The other staff members rushed to stop him.
"Mr. Julian, calm down, calm down. Let’s talk this out!"
Julian had spent enough time on set to recognize the voices of these staff members, so he stopped and coldly glared at the one who had spoken first. Without warning, he kicked the man in the crotch.
The man wasn’t prepared for it and hunched over in pain, groaning loudly.
"Mr. Julian, even though you’re a big star, you can’t just go around hitting people!" someone protested.
Julian’s gaze swept over them one by one. He spoke coldly, "Don’t let me ever hear you spreading rumors behind my back. Otherwise, you’ll be out of here."
The staff members froze for a moment before reacting. The man who had been kicked in the groin, embarrassed and enraged, shot back, "I forgot—Vivienne came to see you shoot last time. You wouldn’t be one of her bedmates, would you? You’re defending her so much... Looks like she’s really taking care of you."
"I’ll kill you!"
Julian shouted angrily, rushing forward with fists raised.
The others quickly stepped in to separate them.
It was clear they knew how to handle the situation—they were pulling Julian back.
Julian struggled, kicking at the people holding him back.
The staff member, seeing that Julian couldn’t land a hit, grew even more smug and said unabashedly, "Who doesn’t know that CEO Hawthorne and Teacher Isabella are a couple? Vivienne doesn’t care about her own reputation, so why should she care what others say?"
The veins on Julian’s forehead pulsed as he broke free from the people restraining him, charging toward the staff member. No matter how hard they tried to pull him away, he couldn’t be stopped.
Finally, Director Ethan Calloway arrived, and the commotion came to an abrupt halt.
Ethan ushered the staff members into the break room to get to the bottom of the situation.
As for the rumors online, Ethan had seen them too. While he wasn’t sure about their accuracy, during their last meal together, it was clear that Julian had feelings for Vivienne.
When Ethan learned that the staff had been gossiping about Vivienne, he ordered them to apologize to Julian first.
Although the staff member had been arrogant earlier, he quickly calmed down, realizing this was not the time to act tough. If Julian’s fans found out, they could bury him with hate and he might even lose his job—after all, it was Julian, and anyone with half a brain would know how important he was.
The staff member apologized, but Ethan then insisted that Julian also apologize, since he had been the first to act violently.
Julian refused.
It was true that he had thrown the first punch, but the other three had ganged up on him. The punches he’d taken were no less than what he had dished out.
They were at fault first—why should he apologize?
Ethan tried to reason with him again, but Julian cut him off. "Ethan, it’s not that I don’t respect you, but Vivienne is my friend. If I let this slide, what kind of man would I be? There’s no need for you to say more."
With that, he turned his head, signaling that he didn’t want to continue the conversation.
Ethan sighed.
He had always admired Julian—gentle, polite, humble, and eager to learn. He hadn’t expected this stubborn side of him.
The filming schedule had to be put on hold because of Julian’s injuries.
The assistant director couldn’t help but lament how full of twists and turns this drama was.
Julian’s manager, who had been negotiating resources for him outside, heard about the incident and rushed to the set.
But he was too late.
Julian’s altercation quickly shot up to the top of the trending list, thrusting him into the eye of the storm.
A staff member had secretly filmed the incident and sold the video to one of Julian’s competitors, who then edited the footage with music, cutting it to only show Julian hitting someone, and uploaded it online.
To the public, it looked like the staff member was just a hardworking employee who had been assaulted by Julian, who appeared to be bullying them, throwing his weight around, and disrespecting staff. The footage painted him as a man who beat and scolded others at will.
Soon, many bystanders and overzealous fans flooded the official Twitter account, demanding an explanation and even calling for Julian’s replacement.
Julian’s fans, however, rallied behind him.
Those with insider knowledge spread the word that Julian wasn’t at fault. They made sure to clarify that, while it seemed like Julian was hitting someone, he had been outnumbered. He hadn’t provoked them; in fact, he’d taken several punches himself. They also demanded the release of the full, unedited video.
The official account quickly issued a statement, clarifying that the staff’s inappropriate remarks had triggered Julian’s anger.
But the public and many of the mindless fans weren’t buying it. "Does that mean if the staff says something inappropriate, Julian has the right to hit them?"
Another video exploded online—this time, a staff member came forward to give an interview.
"...I was with a colleague in the restroom when Julian suddenly barged in and started hitting me... I don’t even know why I was attacked. I don’t know what I did to offend him... Afterward, the director even forced me to apologize. If I didn’t, I would’ve been kicked off the set..."
This caused Ethan’s Twitter account to also come under fire.
When Vivienne heard about the incident, she immediately messaged Julian, asking what had happened.
Julian replied briefly, "It’s nothing serious."
Vivienne was at a loss for words.
How could this not be a big deal?
To make matters worse, Julian could be sued, branded as a problematic celebrity, or even replaced as the male lead.
This would become a stain on his reputation, and if not handled carefully, it could have a huge impact on his career moving forward.
