My Cell Prison-Chapter 875 - 874 Assimilation and Reproduction
Chapter 875: Chapter 874 Assimilation and Reproduction
Chapter 875: Chapter 874 Assimilation and Reproduction
The black life form that had injured Mia.
Due to the arrival of such a massive interstellar spaceship, it had been lying in ambush within the forest all along, observing the four people who disembarked from the spaceship.
In some way, it had managed to evade the spaceship’s detection radar and had also escaped the mental perception of Han Dong and even the Ancestor Return body—Maritzis.
It struck with the fastest speed at what it considered the ‘weakest’ target.
What it hadn’t expected was that right at the last moment, when it was about to succeed, its target reacted, causing the hunt to fail.
The intelligence level of the black life form seemed quite high, and upon seeing this, it immediately abandoned the hunt and fled.
Without waiting for Han Dong’s orders, Lord Maritzis took the lead to pursue the target immediately… He even used the spatial techniques of the Toad Clan to assist in tracking, determined to capture this planet’s peculiar life form.
Even so, they were unable to catch it in time, showing just how fast the target was.
In that split second, Han Dong failed to “Open Eyes” and couldn’t see clearly what it was.
However… something very important was happening to his teammate.
Han Dong immediately turned his gaze toward the injured Mia, his eyes revealing unease.
Actually, as long as the head wasn’t lost, relying on Mia’s Insect Attach life energy combined with herbal healing to stitch the neck incision and reattach the arm would have been very simple.
Han Dong’s concern wasn’t the ‘incision’, but a peculiar substance that had sneaked into Mia’s body through the cut.
The “Oddity” had invaded her body without Mia herself even noticing; she felt neither sensation nor any kind of rejection response… Mia’s attention was focused entirely on the pain and her astonishment.
In that moment, Mia had relied entirely on the stress response inherent to Insect Attach, an automatic defensive reflex by her body; she was severely frightened… never having expected to nearly lose her head right at the outset.
The reason Han Dong had noticed was that after Mia was injured, her vitality didn’t wane—on the contrary, it surged, which clearly indicated something had invaded her body through the wound, causing the sharp increase in vitality.
“Mia! Don’t rush to heal the wound… There’s something inside you.”
When Han Dong said this, Mia was frightened and immediately examined herself.
But she really couldn’t detect anything.
“Nicholas, are you sure there’s something? I don’t feel it at all.”
“I’m 80 percent sure you’ve been ‘invaded’… The difficulty of the World of Fate is extremely high; it’s very possible to suffer severe injuries or even death right from the start.
Mia, do you have any method to perform ‘Consciousness Transfer’?
I can’t ensure that you won’t be killed by this thing before we extract the Oddity…”
Han Dong’s words made Mia break out in a cold sweat.

And Han Dong was not exaggerating… Just like his last visit to Other Derry Town where, right at the beginning, he encountered Moonlight Miles in the school campus, and was forced into execution after just three slashes.
Since even the last Fate event contained a multitude of ‘fatal’ scenarios.
It’s likely that the world of Prometheus also harbours more, even more bizarre ‘fatal’ scenarios; every potential danger must be taken seriously.
“Okay… then my body is in your hands.”
Out of absolute trust in Han Dong.
A small spider carrying Mia’s consciousness emerged from her skull and was taken into Han Dong’s body.
“Let’s go! We head back to the spaceship first…”
Uncertain if similar life forms were still lurking in the forest.
Han Dong held Mia’s body in his arms and rushed back to the spaceship’s operating room at top speed… As for Miss Mary, there was no need to worry.
If something encountered so early on could threaten an ‘Ancestor Body’, then this journey into Fate held no path to survival.
Inside the treatment room on the Heberlion Ship.
Mia’s two severed arms were preserved through the “Bio-preservation Chamber”.
“Open Eyes”
Han Dong did not rely on laboratory equipment, and instead used his own Demon Eye to conduct the examination.
“What are these things… They seem to be assimilating the cells inside Mia’s body, and they’re moving towards the reproductive area.
Could this be the movie’s ‘Black Water’?”
Han Dong still remembered the plot of the original movie, where the substance known as “Black Water” was the key to driving the whole movie’s plot… and the true origin of the Alien.
“Now it looks like these things are trying to construct a ‘newborn’ inside Mia’s body… Hm? So quickly?”
While Han Dong was pondering this.
There was already a slight bulge in Mia’s abdomen… Upon closer examination with the Little Demon Eye, it was discovered that the Black Water had combined with the ovum in the abdominal cavity to form some kind of bizarre offspring.
Without hesitation, Han Dong made a swift cut and pulled the offspring out directly.
“Dumps!”
The instant he extracted the Alien offspring, extreme cold Ice Crystals formed in the air.
Before the offspring could take any further action, it was immediately entombed permanently in the ice, to be studied later.
However, Han Dong still glanced at the small creature that had hatched from inside Mia’s body.
Besides the Facehugger-like appearance from the movies, its body was covered with spider fur and even had the compound eye structure of a spider… It seemed even more brutal and aggressive than the original Facehugger.
“Directly utilizing the host’s internal environment to form a ‘Facehugger’? And it can selectively combine with the host’s DNA?
This has completely surpassed the scope of the original movie… Fortunately, I was in time, for if it had been allowed to break free naturally, Mia might have been deemed ‘doomed’.”
Using surgical tools, Han Dong stitched up Mia’s wounds, and the consciousness-bearing little spider crawled back into the body.
As Mia sat up from the operating table, she couldn’t help but feel a twinge of abdominal pain…
When Mia learned that her body had just hatched an Alien offspring, far from feeling any discomfort, she revealed a morbid smile… The surgery was performed by Han Dong, and Mia faintly felt as if Han Dong and she had birthed a small baby, her expression one of great satisfaction.
Just as Mia wanted to take the opportunity to embrace Han Dong, she realized her severed arms had not been reattached, “Right… hand me back my arms, it should still be possible to reattach them now.”
“Don’t rush, the danger in the arms has not yet been ruled out… Wait for me to check.”
Mia’s amputated arms were being cryogenically preserved, and the ‘Black Water-like substance’ had not yet been removed… However, as Han Dong opened the cryo-chamber.
Whizz… A danger signal went off in his brain!
The moment Han Dong pulled open the door of the cryogenic chamber, he quickly shifted his body to the side.
Two dark shadows flashed past his cheek, landing firmly on the ground…
Mia’s arms had destroyed the cryogenic chamber’s cooling system, and a malign ‘mouth’ had grown on the palm of the hands, using fingers as ‘legs’ and the softened arms as ‘tails’.
They were practically ‘Arm Facehuggers’.
The acid spit out by their mouths directly corroded through four entire layers of the spaceship’s alloy panels.
“It’s completely overturned the theory of the original movie…”
Han Dong frowned.
His left hand morphed into ‘Mummy Form’, and his fingers reached upward with a grab.
Not even waiting for the Facehuggers to provoke, the Black Sand that rolled up from the ground immediately engulfed them… The Scarab Beetles, symbolic of death, devoured the Facehuggers and reduced them to part of the Black Sand.
To deal with a life form exhibiting such strong ‘biological traits’, death is simply the best countermeasure.
“If that’s the case, it’s really troublesome… The first step of the ‘Fate Event’ must be to find a method to prevent the Black Water invasion.
Otherwise, once injured and not treated in time, it would mean certain death.”
