My Beasts Grind Proficiency For Me-Chapter 106 - 11: Wrapping Up
Demons were much larger than humans and had far more blood. With three Foundation Establishment Great Demons and two Qi Cultivation Little Demons dead in the cave, the gushing blood was deep enough to submerge one’s feet.
Yang Jing stood before the Iron Armor General, whose powerful physique was on full display.
Its meager Demon Power was only equivalent to that of a Cultivator at the second or third layer of Qi Cultivation, yet it had relied solely on the Power of the Flesh to withstand dozens of Yang Jing’s Sword Gang attacks.
The Awakening Sword Intent was already the most effective technique against Demons within the Twenty-Four Solar Terms Sword Intent. Had Yang Jing used Magic, he might not have even been able to injure it.
He picked up the Iron Rod from the ground. The entire rod weighed three hundred catties and had been crudely forged from a mix of various Spiritual Materials, with a few Restrictions made from Demon Patterns hammered into it. It was even more primitive than his Demon-slaying Sword; the only reason it could clash head-on with a Spiritual Artifact was due to the superior quality of the Spiritual Materials it was made from. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚
During its fight with Huang Dengtao, the burned sections of the Iron Rod had begun to melt, causing some of the Demon Pattern Restrictions to shatter completely.
Yang Jing collected the bodies of the Three Demons, gathered all the valuables in the cave, and then activated a Red Fire Talisman. Although the Three Demons had lost nearly all their Demon Power, the strength of their physical bodies remained. The Red Fire Talisman was simply unable to burn their demonic corpses to ash.
Soon, the blazing Red Fire began to roar within the cave, incinerating the corpses strewn across the ground and the bodies hanging from the walls, reducing them all to ash.
Standing outside the cave, Yang Jing felt the foul air and Blood Evil within get completely scoured away by the roaring Red Fire.
"Let’s go."
As Yang Jing watched the Red Fire slowly die down, he activated his Cloud Escape and flew out of the Huangyuan Mountain Range.

The Market Steward and the other clans initially assumed the Magical Combat that erupted in the Huang Clan Territory was just a fight between two Foundation Establishment Clans over a Spiritual Spring. Combined with the fact that an unknown party had attacked the territory with a Talisman Crossbow, they naturally prioritized defending their own lands. Even the Cultivators dispatched by some clans to investigate the situation were intercepted and killed along the way.
It was only when an escaped Huang Family Cultivator revealed that Demons had annihilated their clan that the entire Marketplace was jolted into action.
The light from a Bright Light Spell illuminated the entire Marketplace, making it as bright as day. The Law Enforcement Team patrolled in small Flying Boats, hunting down the Tribulation Cultivators who were scattering and fleeing.
However, these Tribulation Cultivators had been active in Huangyuan Marketplace for many years, and their knowledge of the terrain surpassed even that of the Law Enforcement Team. They ducked into the Huangyuan Mountain Range and vanished without a trace. On the other hand, a considerable number of Demons who had drifted into Huangyuan Marketplace from other marketplaces were caught.
The Market Steward, Yang Xuansun, stood in the market square, his face ashen. This area, which was usually crowded with Cultivators setting up stalls, now held a line of captured Demons and a large number of corpses.
The Yushan Huang Clan had been annihilated overnight by Demons allied with Tribulation Cultivators, and as the steward, he had only found out after the fact. In the eyes of the Sect Elders, he would surely be marked down severely. His five years of effort had gone to waste, and his evaluation would inevitably be the lowest possible grade.
"What kind of Demons are these!"
He kicked the corpse of a Demon that still retained some of its demonic features.
"According to the coroner’s autopsy, this Demon was originally from the Human Race. A Secret Technique was used to implant it with a demonic bloodline, turning it into this half-human, half-demon creature."
The captain of the Law Enforcement Team said.
Yang Xuansun’s eyes widened.
"Implanting a demonic bloodline... Are all these Demons created this way?"
The captain nodded grimly.
Yang Xuansun strode over to the captured Demons. No matter how he probed them with his Divine Sense, he could not find anything out of the ordinary.
"PTUI!"
A defiant Demon spat a thick glob of phlegm, aiming for Yang Xuansun’s face. But as a Foundation Establishment Cultivator, Yang Xuansun wasn’t about to be hit so easily. With a single thought, Magical Fire erupted on the Demon’s body.
The Demon rolled on the ground, screaming as it burned. Coarse, stiff fur quickly sprouted from its skin, revealing its demonic form.
Yang Xuansun carefully observed its transformation in the Magical Fire until it was completely reduced to a puff of smoke and dust.
"Go, fetch the Void Mirror and the Demon-Revealing Mirror!"
The line between human and demon was actually quite blurry. The Six Great Sects even treated certain Spirit Beasts that had achieved human form through Transformation as people. Some Cultivators, when their lifespans drew to a close, would also secretly practice certain Demon Transformation Secret Techniques to become Demons.
However, these Secret Techniques usually had requirements for a Cultivator’s Cultivation level, as well as many other stringent conditions, making the barrier to entry extremely high.
This was the first time Yang Xuansun had ever seen an Innate Martial Artist transform into a Demon.
He was highly perceptive and instantly grasped the severity of the situation.
Before long, a few Cultivators came over, carrying two large mirrors.
Yang Xuansun performed various tests on these Demons and determined that as long as a Demon maintained its human form and concealed its True Qi, the Void Mirror could not detect anything unusual. The Demon-Revealing Mirror, however, had to be within a seven-zhang range to reveal any abnormalities.
If these Demons were to use their True Qi, the Void Mirror could detect a faint reaction of Demon Qi, though it was easy to overlook. The Demon-Revealing Mirror, however, could detect it from as far as twenty zhang away.
Yang Xuansun breathed a sigh of relief. The situation had not yet deteriorated to an irreparable point; at least these Demons weren’t flawless. ’But what is so special about the Yushan Huang Clan,’ he wondered, ’that the Demon Country would risk exposing these Demons just to annihilate them?’
He then turned his attention to the other corpses. Of all the bodies present, there were only Demons—not a single White Ape.
"According to the reports, weren’t a significant number of White Apes witnessed by Cultivators? What happened? You couldn’t manage to keep even one of them here?!"
Yang Xuansun flew into a rage. ’Those White Ape Demons were clearly from the Demon Country and unfamiliar with the geography of Huangyuan Marketplace. It’s one thing to let most of the Tribulation Cultivators escape, but to let the White Apes get away as well...’
The Law Enforcement Team captain looked ashamed. He had done his utmost to hunt for the elusive White Apes, but to no avail.
-----------------
Yang Jing returned to Wang Tong’s residence. Upon entering the courtyard, he saw Chi Yu sitting on the ground, playfully toying with a White Ape’s head.
Although he wore a veiled hat to conceal his face every time he went to the cave, there was no guarantee a White Ape hadn’t seen his face and wouldn’t lead back to Wang Tong. So, while he, Yinjiao, and Iron Head went to deal with the Three Demons, he had sent Chi Yu to take care of the White Apes.
The Power of these White Apes was not to be trifled with; even the weakest of them was at the Late Stage Qi Cultivation. But Yang Jing had long ago used small favors to raise their Affinity for him to over sixty, then found the right opportunity to drain away all their Demon Power.
Chi Yu possessed the Blood Tracking Talent. After memorizing the scent of the White Apes’ blood, she had easily tracked all of them down.
For the White Apes, who had lost their Demon Power and were left with only their Power of the Flesh, Chi Yu’s Celestial Demon Blood Transformation was an absolute bane—especially since the apes had scattered to escape.
After her Mosquito Transformation, the power of her Celestial Demon Blood Transformation Talent had greatly increased.
Chi Yu only had to revert to her true form, fly up beside the White Apes using Blood Concealment Breath, and spray out a mouthful of Celestial Demon Blood Transformation Divine Light. This would dissolve a White Ape’s fur, flesh, and bone entirely into Essence Blood, which she then sucked into her mouth.
More than twenty White Apes ended up in her stomach, almost silently and without leaving a single trace.
She had only kept this one White Ape head because it was bald. She found its smooth, shiny forehead so comical that she had decided to keep it.
