My Aloof Husband, Mr. Drexler, Dotes Me Excessively-Chapter 220: Why Haven’t You Been Replying to My Messages?
"I see..."
Sean Morgan exclaimed in surprise.
He never imagined that Mrs. Shawcross’s lips could have such a use...
Summer Shawcross was speechless for a moment. After Sean finished taking notes, she finally found a chance to speak up.
"Is there a first aid kit here?"
Noah Drexler’s hand injury couldn’t be ignored any longer.
"Yes, there is. Please hold on, I’ll get it for you now." Sean nodded and turned to leave, but was stopped by Summer.
"Wait a minute!"
Sean paused, "Mrs. Shawcross, do you have any other requests?"
Summer nodded and continued speaking to him.
"I have some other things I need, can you have someone bring them to me?"
"Of course, please tell me what you need, madam."
"I need you to bring a piano over, and also... please bring the violin from the innermost cabinet in the cloakroom as well."
Hearing this, Sean immediately nodded in agreement.
He thought that since the lady is a singer, she naturally can’t do without these instruments.
"Oh, and could you also get... some gaming consoles or adult toys, something to kill time, preferably something addictive." Summer added as she remembered something else, directing Sean.
Noah Drexler uses pain to distract himself, she thought this principle was somewhat similar. If some interesting games could divert his attention, it might have some effect.
She remembered when she was little, her grandfather quit smoking to avoid exposing her to it. He constantly ate candies to distract himself from his nicotine cravings.
Although her grandfather’s smoking situation wasn’t the same as Noah Drexler’s, the two scenarios had a little in common.
Hearing this, Sean was puzzled for a moment, but quickly understood and nodded immediately.
"Alright, I’ll have someone prepare it right away!" As soon as he finished speaking, Sean Morgan turned and left.
Summer Shawcross glanced at the tightly closed bedroom door behind her, then stretched lazily, planning to take a walk and breathe some fresh air.
She was in such a rush last night that she didn’t get a chance to appreciate the surroundings, but she remembered this place was remote with a good environment, particularly suitable for recuperation.
As Summer went downstairs, she noticed the rain had stopped. After raining all night, the mountain air was especially fresh.
Summer walked to the door, took a deep breath of the fresh air, and quietly stood there, looking at the lush forest in the distance, her mind clearing.
"Mrs. Shawcross, your phone has been ringing non-stop..." At this moment, a bodyguard suddenly approached, holding a white phone.
Summer turned around, took the phone from the bodyguard’s hand, looked at the number, paused for a moment, then answered it.
"Summer Shawcross, why haven’t you been responding to my messages?" Wendy Linden’s voice came from the phone.
"I’ve been a bit busy these past two days, is there something you need?" Summer paused, then asked her.
Ever since she helped Wendy deal with her stepmother, Wendy had been acting out of character. She used to find fault with everything about her, but recently had been sending her small messages and bothering her constantly.
"Oh, it’s nothing really, I just wanted to tell you that there’s finally some good progress with the Linden family matters."
