My Aloof Husband, Mr. Drexler, Dotes Me Excessively-Chapter 199: Really Bad Timing
"Madam, you can’t." Sean’s refusal was straightforward.
Summer Shawcross wasn’t surprised at all. Sean, unlike the butler, wasn’t swayed easily.
"But you have to let me know about his situation. I’m Mrs. Drexler, his wife. Don’t I even have that right?" She bit her lip and continued to speak to Sean.
When Summer finished speaking, Sean didn’t waver at all, instead reminding her.
"Madam, even if you stay, you can’t help the boss."
"I just want to see him, confirm that he’s not in any life-threatening danger, and then I’ll obediently leave." Summer didn’t give up, continuing to speak.
If he was truly all right, she would definitely leave obediently and not cause them any trouble. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
"Madam..." Sean looked helpless but still didn’t intend to let her in.
"If you won’t let me see him, I’ll just stay here and not leave." Summer gritted her teeth and said forcefully.
Just as she finished speaking, a gust of wind blew, and she shrank back, involuntarily sneezing.
Seeing this, the butler beside her couldn’t help but express his concern.
"Madam, you must have caught a chill tonight. Come on, let’s go back with us."
But Summer shook her head.
"I want to stay!"
Seeing her so determined, Sean was somewhat surprised.
"If you don’t want to return to The Hillside Villa, I can arrange another place for you, but here... you can’t stay."
Sean’s attitude today was so firm that Summer started to doubt herself, but the firmer Sean was, the more worried she became.
Just when she wanted to say something else, a raindrop suddenly landed on the tip of her nose.
She was startled, raising her head to see the sky, now unknowingly darkened...
Plop, plop...
Raindrops fell on her face and hair, and only then did she startle, realizing it was raining.
Upon seeing this, she was somewhat delighted.
Hearing the rain, Sean also looked up at the sky, his expression showing a hint of helplessness.
This rain... really came at the wrong time...
"Sean, you see, it’s raining, just let me in..." Summer lifted her head, her large, bright eyes staring at Sean as she pleaded softly.
"You know, getting rained on is a big deal for a woman’s health. It wouldn’t be good if I ended up with a lingering illness, wouldn’t you agree?"
By now, the sound of the rain was growing louder.
Sean hesitated for a few seconds before finally nodding, stepping aside to let Summer through the door.
Seeing this, Summer promptly and swiftly ran inside.
"This..." The butler looked at Summer going in, surprised that Sean just let her in like that.
"Never mind, you go back first. I’ll have someone send her back tomorrow." Sean glanced at the butler, speaking rather helplessly.
Now he finally understood why the boss always lost his principles whenever he met the madam.
"Alright then." The butler nodded, turned around, and returned to the car outside the villa, leaving.
Sean sighed and then turned back to enter the villa.
...
Moments later, Sean led Summer into a small, simple bedroom.
"Where’s Noah Drexler?" Summer turned to look around but didn’t see Noah’s figure, feeling a bit disappointed.
Sean, however, didn’t answer her question, instead glancing at her wet long hair, reminding her.
"Madam, you should rest in this room first. There are dry towels and a hairdryer in the bathroom. It’s all men here, not convenient to take care of you, so head back when it’s daybreak."
