My Aloof Husband, Mr. Drexler, Dotes Me Excessively-Chapter 171: I Would Rather Die Than Yield to You
Upon hearing her words, Wendy Linden’s face changed drastically. She quickly covered her chest with her hand, sounding a bit frightened.
"Summer Shawcross, you... you still say you’re not jealous of my beauty!"
She actually wanted to sell her to that kind of place!
Seeing Wendy Linden’s scared expression, Summer Shawcross gave a playful smile and then continued to ask her.
"Weren’t you the one who said you wanted to repay me?" She didn’t force her.
"But not in this way. I would rather die than follow you!" Wendy Linden gritted her teeth.
"Oh, the window is there. If you still want to die, go ahead and jump." Summer Shawcross pointed at the small window in the corridor, kindly reminding her.
After she finished speaking, Wendy Linden was stunned, not expecting such a reaction from her.
"Summer Shawcross! Would you really just stand by and watch me die?"
"Hmm, not saving you." Summer Shawcross nodded calmly.
She didn’t force her to die; it was Wendy who thought Summer wanted to sell her, making a fuss between life and death.
"You... to think I took a beating for your violin!" Wendy Linden said angrily.
Back then, that violin was bought by her dad for her stepmother, but Wendy insisted on having it. After her stepmother cried, her dad got angry and hit Wendy, which finally appeased her stepmother!
If that violin ended up in her stepmother’s hands, it would have likely been in a terrible state by now.
Listening to Wendy’s words, Summer Shawcross was momentarily surprised, looking at Wendy with some astonishment.
After a moment, she put away her playful expression and spoke seriously to her.
"I was joking. I didn’t help you to demand repayment. Let’s consider this as me repaying you for taking care of the violin for me."
Wendy Linden was taken aback. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚
"You..."
"No need to thank me." Summer Shawcross waved her hand nonchalantly and turned to leave.
"No... I wanted to ask you if you could do me one more favor?" Wendy’s voice came from behind her.
"No." Without thinking, Summer Shawcross refused.
She’s got too much on her plate right now and doesn’t have time for Wendy’s issues.
Currently, she just wants to live well and stay by Noah Drexler’s side, making up for past regrets.
As for Wendy Linden, she had already done everything she could.
"Since you’re so good at fortune-telling, can you help me find where that beast of a brother and that slut are hiding?" Wendy Linden, unwilling to give up, chased after her.
"I already said no." Summer Shawcross responded, speechless.
Back then, she claimed she could tell fortunes just as a random excuse, but she didn’t expect Wendy to actually believe it.
"Summer Shawcross, if you don’t help me, I’ll expose all those embarrassing secrets from your past!"
As Wendy’s words fell, Summer Shawcross, who was about to leave, stopped in her tracks and turned back to look at Wendy in confusion.
"In fourth grade, you pretended to be a boy and deceived a girl from the neighboring school, making her so heartbroken that she transferred schools." Wendy looked at her and continued.
Hearing Wendy’s words, Summer Shawcross’s expression changed. She was a bit surprised that Wendy even knew about this.
"That... it was actually just an accident, not really deception." She coughed and then explained.
That year, she happened to have short hair, and to sneak out to play, she wore some of her brother’s old clothes. She happened to see a girl lose her money and couldn’t take the bus home, so she kindly gave her money to take a taxi home.
