Chapter 46: Chapter : 46 : The Play’s Trap!

It had been one week since the kidnappings escalated, the city gripped by quiet terror as more young girls vanished without a trace.

Three days since Ai and Shiki’s first time, and Ai still glowed shyly whenever she thought about it—clinging to him during every preparation, cheeks pink whenever he whispered rewards for success.

The group spent the 2 days planning.

Shiki’s mind-link magic connected all four of them, and Seraphina and Lyra were stunned when he casually mentioned his infinite range as God-Class.

Seraphina had raised an eyebrow during a late-night strategy session. "Infinite? That’s impossible for mid-tier spells. Even S-Class mages struggle with distance."

Lyra had stared wide-eyed, clutching her staff. "God-Class..."

Shiki had just shrugged, smirking. "Perks of the title. Don’t worry—your thoughts are safe with me."

Ai had blushed furiously at that. She had leaned against him, voice soft. "Sh-Shiki... you can hear everything?"

Shiki had pulled her closer, kissing her temple. "Everything, kitten. Even the naughty thoughts you’re having right now."

Seraphina had rolled her eyes. "Focus."

---

Now, the theater was packed. Ai sat in the front row, the low-cut blouse Seraphina had insisted on hugging her curves tightly, making her fidget and tug at the fabric.

---

Two days earlier, when Seraphina had first suggested the outfit, Ai had stood in front of the mirror in their room, face crimson as she tried it on.

Ai had stared at her reflection, arms crossed over her chest. "Sh-Shiki... this is too revealing... everyone will see..."

Shiki had stepped behind her, hands sliding around her waist, pulling her back against his chest. "That’s the point, kitten. He needs to notice you." He kissed the side of her neck softly. "But only I get to touch."

Ai had shivered, leaning into him. "Y-you’re not helping..."

He had turned her around, cupping her face and kissing her deeply, slow and possessive. "You look perfect. Brave. Beautiful. And when this is over... I’ll reward you properly."

His hands had slid down her sides, thumbs brushing the undersides of her breasts. "Every inch of you... all night."

Ai had moaned softly into the kiss. "Sh-Shiki..."

He had pulled back just enough to whisper against her lips. "Promise me you’ll be careful."

"I promise," she had breathed, eyes shining. "For you."

---

Now, in the theater, Ai whispered through the link. "Sh-Shiki... this dress is too tight... everyone can see..."

Shiki’s voice echoed in her mind, warm and teasing. "You look delicious, kitten. If he touches you, I’ll end him."

Seraphina sighed. "Focus, both of you."

Lyra giggled nervously. "Y-you two are cute..."

Ai blushed harder, but straightened as the lights dimmed. Marcous took the stage as a tragic prince, his lines about "lost beauties" and "eternal youth" sending chills down her spine.

He glanced her way mid-scene, his internal thoughts dark: *Ai... Your vitality... so pure. She’ll make me shine forever.*

He showed off more, winking at her during a monologue. The crowd gasped in jealousy.

Ai whispered urgently. "S-Shiki, he’s staring too much!"

Shiki’s voice was calm but edged. "You’re doing great, kitten. Just keep smiling. Remember, if you pull this off perfectly... that reward tonight will be extra special."

Ai’s face heated. "Sh-Shiki! Not now!!"

Seraphina added strategy. "Stay calm—he’s hooked."

Lyra encouraged softly. "Y-you look pretty, Ai-san! He’ll definitely notice!"

During a romantic scene, Marcous locked eyes with Ai longer than necessary.

Ai said urgently, again "He’s... looking again..."

Shiki said teasingly, "Ignore it. Smile like you’re charmed. Think of me—how you’d smile if I winked at you."

Ai’s cheeks burned. "Th-that’s different!"

Shiki teased again, "Is it? Pretend he’s me, then. But remember, only I get the real smiles... and the real rewards later."

Ai pouted but smiled brightly at Marcous, her heart fluttering at Shiki’s words.

Marcous thought: *Yes... she’s falling for it.*

Ai thought,"This feels gross..."

Shiki said, teasing her again, "You’re brave, kitten. Extra kisses later for putting up with this clown. And maybe more if you’re good."

Ai’s heart skipped. "P-promise?"

Shiki replied, smiling. "Promise. Think of the bath... me washing your back... slowly... my hands everywhere."

Ai nearly choked. "Not helping!!"

Lyra called Ai, "Uum... Ai-san? Are you okay?"

Ai replied, "F-fine!"

The play built to climax, Marcous’s prince declaring eternal love—his gaze on Ai.

Shiki said, smirking. "He’s showing off for you. Good—means the bait’s working."

Ai replied, nervously. "I hate this..."

Shiki teased her yet again, "Think of the reward. Me kissing every inch of you... making you moan my name again."

Ai squirmed in her seat. "Sh-Shiki!! Stop!!"

Seraphina snapped. "Enough flirting. The scene’s ending." 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮

The play ended to thunderous applause.

---

Ai slipped backstage as planned—two days ago, she’d "secretly" messaged Marcous asking to meet privately after the show, pretending to be a smitten fan tired of her "boring husband."

Marcous’s eyes lit up when he saw her waiting. "My dear... you came."

Ai forced a shy smile. "Y-yes... I wanted an autograph..."

He knelt smoothly, taking her hand and pressing a lingering kiss to it. "A pleasure, my radiant star."

Ai’s skin crawled. "Th-thank you..."

From the gallery, Shiki’s grip crushed a chair armrest with a loud crack.

Shiki, growling in the link "That bastard..."

Seraphina flinched. "Easy—don’t blow our cover!"

Lyra squeaked. "S-scary..."

Marcous led Ai to a private room, his smile charming but eyes hungry. "My dear, how intelligent you are to seek me out. Leaving that dull idiot behind—wise choice. You’re too radiant for such a common man."

Ai’s heart hurt, but she played along, voice trembling. "Y-yes... Shiki’s boring. I want more."

Shiki assured her, "Stay calm, kitten. We’re right behind you."

---

In the carriage, Marcous sat beside her, thigh brushing hers. "I didn’t know you were this bold, my dear. Surprised when you asked to come with me—tired of that common life with him?"

Ai nodded, forcing a smile. "Y-yes... he’s nothing compared to you."

He touched her hand, stroking it slowly. "Intelligent girl. You’ll shine forever with me."

Ai disgusted, whispered through the link. "Sh-Shiki... he’s touching me..."

Shiki thought, furiously "Touch her again and he’s dead."

The group followed from rooftops—Shiki leaping effortlessly, Lyra flying, Seraphina grumbling. "Show-off—leaping like that."

Lyra whispered tracking spells. "Tracking... still on them."

The carriage entered a tunnel... and vanished.

Shiki’s eyes widened, "Where is she?!"

Seraphina cursed. "Damn it—it’s a trap!"

Lyra panicked.

Ai’s voice came into their mind, "Shiki... What happened?"
