Chapter 401: I Saw Everything

"And do you know who I am?" Tracie interrupted, her tone laced with amusement. She crossed her arms, tilting her head as she eyed him. "You know, for an empty barrel, you sure make a lot of noise. My ears are already hurting from all your nonsense. Can you be silent for just a second?"

Tracie’s tone had been so harsh not only Marcus but Madeline and Fiona shivered at it. Fiona had always known that Tracie was a tough nut to track, but she didn’t expect her to be defending her like this, especially since she still hadn’t agreed on the debt she was owing the latter.

Marcus stared at Tracie, wondering who she could be. Then it dawned on him.

"You’re that barbaric woman that threatened me over the phone the other day, aren’t you?" He questioned, struggling to get up the floor. He was reeking of alcohol and Tracie had to cover her nose a bit to prevent herself from throwing up at that moment.

"It’s a good thing you remember me," she replied.

Marcus glared at her before his focus returned back to Fiona.

"You’re coming back home with me whether you like it or not," he declared.

Tracie sighed from behind him.

’Now i know it’s obvious he can’t take a hint,’ she thought to herself.

"I’m not going anywhere. And if you try to force me, I’ll involve my parents," she threatened.

Marcus stiffened in fright for a brief second, making it known he was terrified of Fiona’s family.

"In fact, I want to file for divorce," Fiona said, completely shocking the light bulbs out of him. "I’m sick and tired of this marriage and I’ve finally decided to set you free from it so that you can do whatever you want."

"You must be kidding me," he chuckled, rubbing his face in frustration. "We are married with two kids. What’s going to happen to them?"

"They stay with me!" She replied.

"Before you think of anything, you’d better think twice because I wouldn’t think twice about it all before hurting you," Tracie said from behind him, reminding him of the kick earlier when her eyes briefly went to it.

Tracie seemed all prepared and although Marcus was starting to get terrified of her, he wasn’t going to let a simple nobody disrupt his plans.

Turning deaf ears to Tracie’s warning, he marched towards Fiona with the intent to grab her hand and drag her out of the bed.

Madeline tried to stop him. However, before she could succeed, Trace had already reached him, and banged his head against the table, smashing the wooden structure completely as it shattered to pieces.

Both Madeline and Fiona gasped, as Fiona stood up from the bed, instinctively rushing to go help him but she stopped herself, immediately halting in front of him.

"So, you’ve hired some kind of a bodyguard to beat me up, it’s that it?" He roared in rage, spitting saliva everywhere.

Tracie kicked him in the gut with precise force, and he immediately doubled over, throwing up blood. Her eyes blazed with offense—how dare he mistake her for a bodyguard when she was clearly dressed like a night ninja?

"That’s enough," Fiona intervened, her voice calm yet unwavering. She turned her gaze down to Marcus as he wiped the blood from his lips with the back of his jacket. "I’ve made my decision," she continued, her tone resolute. "I’m filing for a divorce and leaving you. You’re no longer the man I married, and it’s obvious you don’t love me anymore."

"You think this is the end of it all? I’ll come back. Just you wait and see. I’ll come get my children." Marcus stood and left. He’d planned to drag Fiona out of the hospital and bring her back home. But it was obvious Tracie wasn’t going to allow that to happen at all with how intensely she was glaring at him.

He glared at each and every one of them before he left the hospital room but they held it at the back of their minds that he was going to come back as he’d promised.

**

Madeline had already left the hospital now to go take care of a few of her work but promised to be back later.

Tracie was in the room with Fiona, and the tension was high.

"I think it’s high time you inform your family about what you’re going through. Once they’re involved, your husband wouldn’t dare to do anything. It’s obvious he’d totally lost it, but if there’s anyone he would be going after, it isn’t you. It’s your children," Tracie explained.

It’s been two days since she came to Glamourwood, two days since Fiona had given her a phone call. But staying by Fiona’s side isn’t what worried her. She was worried about Anastasia going and attacking her prey without her help. If anything, she would want to leave as soon as possible and head back to Fameville.

"I’ll sue him in court if anything like that happens," Fiona declared, then she sighed. "I know that I owe you a lot. I’m sorry for taking so long, but the only reason I haven’t said anything is because I feared that I would be ruining something if I opened my mouth to talk."

Tracie turned to Fiona with a frown on her face. "What are you talking about?" She asked, her frown deepening.

"After witnessing everything that happened that night, I got so scared the first thing that came to my mind was to flee for my life. I didn’t want to be involved in anything that was related to that night, that’s why I immediately switched schools," Fiona continued to mumble.

Tracie immediately held her by the hand and forced her to look at her.

"Slow down and tell me everything," said Tracie.

Fiona took a deep breath, tears already streaming down from her eyes.

"The night that Arabella died, I saw everything," she replied, looking at Tracie.
