Mushoku Tensei: Reincarnated as a Beast Race-Chapter 336 - The Genius of All Things
Aisha Greyrat was currently recognized as a genius mage, without precedent in the history of humanity.
Even throughout all recorded history, there had been very few truly exceptional human mages.
Not even legendary heroes, such as the Flaming Emperor Feroze Star, could be compared to the splendor Aisha had achieved.
In other Dragon God loops — in worlds where reincarnated individuals and otherworldly beings had never existed — Aisha had never had much motivation to evolve.
Even so, even in those timelines, she ended up becoming, almost unconsciously, one of the greatest Magic Knights of the Asura Kingdom.
This time, however, everything had been different.
And Orsted had realized that long ago.
The Teleportation Incident, in particular, completely altered the course of her life. Aisha gained an older brother and became Rygar’s disciple from a very young age.
In this new timeline, with constant guidance, dedication, and focused training since childhood, she made full use of her talent like no one before her.
Most of the other great mages of that era had been born with the Laplace Factor, which granted them enormous advantages in mana manipulation.
Aisha possessed none of that.
Instead, she was simply a natural genius in every possible sense.
Her reasoning ability, memory, comprehension, reflexes, and adaptability were far beyond the norm — one of those extraordinary humans who appeared only once every few hundred years.
At sixteen years old, Aisha mastered her first God-Level Magic, becoming one of the very few God-Level mages still alive in the world.
And, to Hitogami’s misfortune, she also became one more person he could not see.
She accomplished this by learning the God-Level Magic — Heavenly Sealing, making Hitogami’s Future Sight even more unstable.
Under Aisha’s direct leadership, the Star Rise Academy grew rapidly, until it became the greatest educational institution in the entire world.
Magic, armed and unarmed combat, history, physics, navigation, strategy — the Academy encompassed virtually every aspect of human knowledge.
She had also been the primary force behind the creation of the recent Dragon Knight Division.
And that was only the surface.
In politics, economics, and the military sphere, Aisha stood at the forefront of nearly every major event that took place in the Gaia Kingdom.
And almost all of this had been accomplished while she was still a teenager.
Now, Aisha was already a woman.
And even at only nineteen years old, her influence, power, and importance to the Gaia Kingdom were second only to the Beast God himself.
That was why, when she challenged Jino Britz for his position among the Twelve Kings of Gaia, the shock was immediate.
Although Aisha was, by far, the most influential figure, there was no one who dared claim to be stronger than the Martial God.
Not even the second most powerful, Eris Adoldia, hid the fact that she stood no chance against him.
As the years passed, and as the gap between their strengths only continued to widen, she had been forced to acknowledge that truth. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
Jino’s strength and martial prowess were firmly etched into the minds of all members of the Kingdom’s upper echelons. It did not matter the strength, the magic, the technique, or the weapon used — nothing seemed truly effective against him.
That was the terror of a swordsman who had mastered all forms of swordsmanship at their peak.
He possessed the most powerful attack, the most impenetrable defense, was the fastest on the battlefield, and as versatile as a demon.
After years training with Rygar, Jino had also been gradually unifying all of his strengths.
To the point that the title of Martial God seemed more fitting for him than for anyone else in history.
And it was precisely this invincible swordsman that Aisha had challenged.
Curiosity surpassed everything else.
Anyone who was not on a mission or stationed at an essential post made a point of attending in person.
The rest remained connected to their communication devices, eager to receive news as quickly as possible.
At first, no one believed she stood a chance.
But then...
Aisha’s image surfaced in everyone’s minds.
Without realizing it, each of them arrived at the same thought.
If it’s Aisha... maybe it’s possible.
Undeniably, Aisha gave off the impression that she was capable of accomplishing anything. The Genius of All Things. Even if it was impossible, perhaps... Aisha could create a miracle.
As a result, the largest arena of the Combat Temple became completely packed, gathering warriors of all kinds.
It was even fortunate that many still had duties to fulfill — otherwise, the Temple simply would not have had enough space for everyone.
The challenge had been scheduled for noon, and everyone awaited Aisha’s arrival.
Surrounding the massive arena rose mountains, whose interiors had been excavated and transformed into enormous structures.
Packed stands encircled the area, while people moved through the internal corridors of the mountains, chatting, betting, and speculating excitedly.
And near the peak of one of those mountains — whose interior had also been carved out and reconstructed into a vast hall, supported only by spaced pillars — gathered some of the most influential figures in the entire Gaia Kingdom.
"What?!" protested an indignant voice. "You’re going to defeat her immediately?! What are you, a heartless monster?!"
The speaker was a beast-race boy who appeared to be about ten years old. His name was Kody, the eldest son of Taes and Lina.
As the firstborn of the Commander of the Iron Legion, Kody had begun his training at four years of age, and had shown great aptitude for becoming a warrior from an early age.
At the time Eris had just become the Sword God, she had taken him as her disciple.
At the level she had reached, teaching another person was often a more effective method of increasing one’s own strength and understanding.
There was also a rather revealing detail about Kody.
He had an idol who was very relevant to the moment the Kingdom was living.
"You can’t at least let Miss Aisha show her strength?!"
The one Kody was bothering was none other than the Martial God, Jino Britz.
Jino pushed the boy aside without much delicacy.
"Get lost, brat!"
Even after being shoved, Kody continued, clearly determined to defend his idol.
"Then why don’t you let her hit you first and then win?" he insisted. "Or even better... let her win!"
He seemed to have an epiphany mid-sentence.
Eris, who was sitting casually on a spacious sofa, burst out laughing.
"You know, the kid actually has a point, Jino," she said, amused. "Why don’t you let Aisha show off her skills before winning? She’ll be furious if you don’t let her!"
Unlike the youthful charm she had possessed in the past, Eris now displayed the allure of a truly stunning woman.
Her gaze and presence made her seem like a tigress in human skin.
Sitting on the edge of the mountain cliff, watching the arena below, a leopard-tribe beastman also spoke up:
"It’s true. If you defeat her in an instant, you’ll definitely suffer the consequences later. You’ll be screwed."
That was Jaly. Even among the Kingdom’s elites, he stood out — sixth among the Twelve Kings of Gaia and one of the four swordsmen who had mastered what many called the supreme offensive technique: Wild Light.
With the support of his own master and an Emperor, Kody seemed to gain even more confidence.
"See?!" he pointed. "Why are you the only one who’s so insensitive?!"
Jino let out a long sigh.
"Haaah... shut up, brat. You’re all wrong."
He crossed his arms.
"I planned to do that from the start. Let her show her techniques and all that. After all, why would I want to provoke Aisha? I’m not an idiot."
Eris and Jaly exchanged curious looks, while Kody asked, confused:
"Huh? Then why?"
Jino laughed and ruffled the boy’s hair.
"The problem, brat, is that I have a bad feeling about this fight."
Jaly and Eris’ eyes widened. Kody, on the other hand, merely tilted his head, confused, and looked at Jino as if he were an idiot.
"That’s it?"
Eris clicked her tongue.
"Idiot brat. What did I tell you about the peak of the Beast God Style?"
"Hm?" Kody blinked. "That thing about the Sixth Sense? Is it really that important?"
Jaly slowly stood up.
"It’s very important. Especially for someone like Jino," he explained. "When the Sixth Sense is raised to such a high level, it becomes practically a premonition of the future."
He then looked at Jino.
"Are you sure about this? I mean, I’m not underestimating Aisha or anything... but how could she win a direct fight against you?"
Jino smiled bitterly.
"Believe me, I’m just as surprised as you," he replied. "The only person who usually gives me this feeling is Rygar. I don’t know what that brat has been learning lately, but she might even threaten me in battle."
Kody’s eyes sparkled with anticipation.
Eris, in turn, seemed intrigued.
"Well, I hope she can show something, then," she said. "Rygar told me she was working on creating a high-level spell. Something related to gravity, or something like that."
At that moment, a spatial distortion formed at the center of the hall.
A sharp cracking sound echoed as a teleportation was completed.
At the center of the room stood Verdia, wearing casual clothes with her hair tied in a ponytail; Leo, the Sacred Beast; and Rygar, carrying a child in his arms.
As soon as they appeared, a blue barrier surrounding their bodies dissipated.
Rygar still wore his hair long, but now tied back. Like Jino, he looked the same as before — only more mature overall.
The child he carried was a silver-haired baby, who looked around with curiosity.
"Hi, everyone!" Verdia greeted. "Are we late?"
"Ah!" Kody exclaimed. "Hi, Uncle Rygar!"
"What’s up, kid," Rygar replied. "Your father’s not coming. He won’t be back until tomorrow."
Kody looked a little disappointed, but said nothing.
Eris sprang to her feet and ran cheerfully toward Rygar, hugging him and giving him a kiss before taking the baby into her arms.
Jino replied to Verdia:
"Well, no one knows where Aisha is yet. So you arrived at a good time."
"Oh, I know where she is," Rygar interrupted, laughing. "But she said she’d arrive exactly on time, for dramatic effect."
He handed Lenna to Eris, and Leo followed both of them the entire time.
Jaly made a brief bow upon seeing Rygar, who returned it with a nod.
Jino turned to him:
"That girl still scares me. Do you know what spell she was creating?"
Rygar nodded.
"I have a general idea, but I wasn’t directly involved. So only she knows what the real effects are," he replied. "But I’m sure she completed the spell a few days ago."
Jino shuddered. The bad feeling he had been sensing was practically confirmed.
Verdia asked curiously, sitting beside Eris, who was playing with Lenna and Leo:
"But is it really such a powerful spell? Something that could surpass even Jino?"
Rygar shook his head as he watched the arena.
"Honestly, I don’t know," he admitted. "Even though she’s my disciple, I always encouraged Aisha to create her own fighting style. Just like I did with you, Jino."
He paused briefly and smiled.
"And she took that very seriously. Aisha has far more talent in Barrier Magic than I do. It’s quite possible I wouldn’t even be able to fully understand what she created, even if she tried to explain it to me."
He reflected for a moment.
"But it should have something to do with Gravity Magic and Spatial Magic. Those are the topics she’s asked me for the most help with lately."
Verdia looked thoughtful.
"Maybe it’s some kind of sealing, then. Aisha likes that sort of thing."
"Maybe..." Rygar agreed.
Eris then commented:
"I don’t know. She was learning the Deprivation Field with Reida, wasn’t she? She’s already very strong even as a swordswoman."
Jino listened to everyone, trying to form a clear image of what he would face. Each person said something different, until he finally gave up with a sigh.
"Haaah... damn genius. Why does she learn everything at once?!"
Eris shot back immediately:
"What hypocrisy. I say the exact same thing about you!"
Everyone laughed, while Jino looked visibly embarrassed.
"Rygar..." he then asked. "What do you think my chances are in this fight?"
Rygar answered without hesitation:
"It’s almost impossible for you to win."
Jino’s eyes widened.
"Almost impossible?!"
He wasn’t the only one. Everyone there showed varying degrees of surprise — and Kody was extremely happy.
They had imagined that Aisha might win through a miracle.
But Jino having no chance at all?
Rygar confirmed:
"Yes. I’m certain of it. You probably have around a five percent chance. If you win, it’ll be pure luck."
He continued seriously:
"Aisha is very shrewd. She wouldn’t challenge you at this level without being certain of victory. Think about it: she knows everything about your abilities... and you know almost nothing about hers."
Rygar reflected for a moment.
"I also think she has some hidden plan. I just have no idea what it is."
While Jino was still processing that, Rygar spoke again:
"Ah... she’s here."
Everyone turned their eyes toward the arena.
Climbing the steps of the battlefield was a young woman with a striking presence.
She had reddish-brown hair and green eyes, one of them being the Clairvoyant Eye.
She wore silver armor with a blue cape, and carried a longsword strapped to her waist.
She waved in a friendly manner as the crowd erupted into applause and enthusiastic cheers, roaring as she advanced to the center of the arena.
Eris smiled mischievously.
"Well... good luck with your five percent chance!"
Jino sighed, assuming a defiant expression.
"Well... then all that’s left is to prove you wrong."
