Multiversal Livestreaming System : I Can Copy My Viewers Skills-Chapter 155: Divinity’s Existence
Adam landed on the ground beside Xel’Shaar and Guin, who had hidden themselves behind some rubble.
He glanced up at the sky.
Just looking at the massive size of the being above made Adam feel small.
His existence felt pressed down, like something heavy was sitting on his soul...
He turned to Xel’Shaar.
"My abilities and existence feel suppressed."
Xel’Shaar nodded.
"It is normal, my lord. The being in front of us is a descendant of a lower God. All things that carry divine power naturally suppress those who do not have it."
Adam was silent for a moment, observing the creature above.
Then he noticed something.
"You don’t seem affected by the suppression."
Xel’Shaar confirmed his suspicion.
"Yes. The authority of [Prisoner] that the Tower of Yxthar gave me allows me to ignore most suppressing abilities."
As if wanting to be helpful, Xel’Shaar continued without being asked.
"Be careful, my lord. The attainment of divinity does strange things to one’s existence... That being in the sky is most likely more powerful than all the other floor bosses below it combined."
Adam’s face grew serious.
He could feel it too... Alone, he was not enough to beat the being in the sky.
From what he knew, messing with those who had attained Divinity brought trouble to one’s fate.
Once you offended a divine being, fate itself would try to sabotage you in many ways.
For example, a small injury might get infected when it normally wouldn’t.
A potion might shatter at the worst moment.
Nothing obvious, but small things that added up...
Another example, your attacks might miss by inches when they should have hit.
Monsters might sense you easier or doors might close right before you reached them.
Fate would not kill you directly, but it would stack the odds against you until something finally did.
That was why Adam was reluctant to fight this one.
Killing an existence that held the status of [Divinity] came with consequences.
Adam and Xel’Shaar were not the only ones who noticed the suppressing ability.
The stream hunters around them had survived six floors through will, talent, and hard work.
They were not new to the dangers of the Tower.
Instead of panicking, most of them immediately moved into formations that suited the situation.
Some were even cautious enough to test if a support’s buff could cancel out the suppression...
Before anyone could react further, the being in the sky let out a sad sigh.
Memories seemed to flood into its mind. It suddenly remembered the distant past.
"So this is all that is left of my world and kingdom now," it said.
"A game to play for other universes..."
There was self-mockery in its voice.
Most of the stream hunters could not help but close their ears.
The being’s voice affected their minds!
Just listening to it brought emotions they did not originally have.
Adam frowned.
The feeling that came from listening to the being’s voice was sorrow...
Sorrow that had been carried for millions and millions of years.
Xel’Shaar did not seem affected.
Adam wondered if it was because of his [Prisoner] authority, or because Xel’Shaar was in a similar position himself...
The [Weapon of Invincibility], still in the form of a spear that trapped Kareth Zul’s soul, laughed quietly.
Adam ignored it...
He focused on the being above and prepared himself for what came next.

Aberrant Of the Flesh
[Perfect Adaptation has been chosen]
[Perfect Adaptation has been reduced to Hive Armor]
[Hive Armor] : Temporarily gain immunity to one damage type after taking a hit. (Activated upon hit)
[You have been hit with the effects of Divinity...]
[Immunity cannot be granted]
Adam read the notifications without changing his expression.
He had expected this... The abilities he copied from viewers were only low-tier after all.
[Hive Armor] was an E-tier skill at best.
It could block normal attacks, maybe even some strong ones.
But against something like [Divinity]? There was no chance...
Divinity was not just another damage type... It was a fundamental force that came from touching godhood.
Low-tier skills could not block it no matter how cleverly they were used.
Adam was not discouraged nor was he surprised.
He had never solely relied on copied abilities to carry him through fights.
They were tools, not solutions.
They gave him options and made him harder to predict.
But when facing a real threat, he knew he had to rely on his own strength.
[Thananos has donated an F-tier gift]
[You have received +1 Soul Core]
[Thananos] : Adam, how high can you fly up? Does the boss take physical or magical damage? It does not look like it has a physical body...
[Woman of Specters shows a bit of discomfort over the presence of Divinity]
[nonexnihilio42069 has donated an F-tier gift]
[You have received +1 Soul Core]
[nonexnihilio42069] : Magical abilities should work... otherwise more than half of the current stream hunters would just be fodders waiting to be killed. There’s also the possibility that the boss might only be affected by a certain ability type?
[Hazardous Combatant] : A [Divinity] type... so troublesome... goodluck young man, I’ll resort to just watching.
Adam also pondered...In his last life, he had fought the fake body of this floor boss.
That fight had been hard, but manageable...
The fake body followed patterns and had weaknesses that could be exploited.
This one seemed a lot different...
The boss in his previous life never had the [Divinity] status...
The true body had been defeated by a large group of high-level stream hunters, but every single one of them had died right after.
At the time, people had many theories.
Some said the boss had a death curse, others thought the floor itself collapsed.
A few believed the survivors were killed by other hunters who wanted the rewards.
Now Adam speculated something else...
Could it have been due to the [Divinity] status?
Killing a being that carried divine power came with consequences... Fate itself would turn against you.
But even the consequences from it would only be due to small things that added up to death.
It should not have instantly killed all the stream hunters that time, right?
Perhaps the [True Body] of this boss had a skill powerful enough to wipe them out instantly after dying...
That was why Adam was being careful.
He could not just rush in and fight... He needed a plan that accounted for the divinity problem.
"This world used to be kind," the being in the sky said.
Its voice was sad, burdened by its own memories.
"I apologize for what I am about to do."
The sky darkened greatly.
