Chapter 485 A guilty conscience

 “Hurry, load the food.”

Zheng Maoshan's wife came over with two sacks and ordered her son in a low voice. Last night, her second son Zheng Dazhuang went to pick up grain. She had already brought home dozens of kilograms, but how can anyone be satisfied? She also wanted to steal more while her eldest son was watching the granary alone.

Thinking of the days when she could eat a steamed bun every day, she couldn't help but swallow her saliva. She pushed her son and called him in a low voice.

“Mom, no, this is public food. My eldest brother has said whoever touches this food will be punished.”

Zheng Dashan had just fallen asleep when his mother suddenly appeared and startled him. He was so frightened that his face turned pale when he saw her mother stealing grain with a sack and stopped him from moving.

"You're stupid! Which of those people who carried grain didn't load it home yesterday? Don't worry, there's no one here right now, so we don't need to pack more, just two sacks."

Zheng Maoshan's wife looked at the mountains of grain and her eyes flashed with gold. She really wished she could take all the grain to her own house.

"no."

Zheng Dashan refused. He was timid and afraid of being criticized, which would be embarrassing.

His sister has brought shame on his family before, and he doesn't want to be criticized again.

“Useless things, don’t use food and want to starve us to death?”

Zheng Maoshan’s wife pushed her son away and went to load up the food. Zheng Dashan stopped her twice but failed to stop her. She was afraid of being seen and had to go out to let him go.

“Brother-in-law, what are you doing outside?”

The more frightened he became, the more people he met, and it was the most arrogant three-haired donkey. Zheng Dashan was so frightened that his face turned pale, he was speechless, and kept looking into the granary.

“What’s going on? Is there anyone?”

Seeing his abnormal appearance, Zheng Laosan became suspicious and walked over to take a look while talking.

“Cheng Bao, I heard from Lao Suntou that your sister had a stomachache last night and went to the hospital. Is she feeling better?”

Zheng Dashan was so frightened that he broke into a cold sweat. Not to mention, this worry reminded him of what happened last night. He knew that Zheng Chengbao cared about this sister the most, so he took her out to save him.

Zheng Chengbao originally wanted to come over and pack some wheat for his sister, so he didn't go home. He took the flour bag with him and waited for everyone to disperse before he came to steal the wheat.

Xiao Xi heard that his younger sister was sick, how could he still think about stealing food? His expression changed and he shouted at Zheng Dashan. "Why didn't you tell me earlier?"

“They went to the hospital in a donkey cart. Please ask which hospital they were sent to.”

Zheng Dashan raised his hand to wipe his sweat and coaxed Zheng Chengbao to leave. He was a timid thief for the first time.

The words are not finished yet! When he saw Zheng Laosan running away, he let out a long breath, turned back to the granary and called him mom.

“Mom, let’s go quickly! If the three donkeys find out, they will have to send you to the commune.”

There was no sign of his mother in the granary of Canuo University. Zheng Dashan thought he had seen it wrong. He rubbed his eyes and saw that the pile of corns had moved him. His mother came out of it, with corn grains in her hair, and her body moved. I also dropped the corns and looked funny.

"Hurry up." Zheng Dashan waved her hand impatiently.

Zheng Maoshan's wife didn't listen to her son's words. She finally got a sack of corns, but after carrying it for a while, she tried to call her son for help. He stayed still and turned his face away, pretending not to listen.

She had no choice but to pour out half of the bag, but she couldn't carry the remaining half of the bag, so she could only drag the sack away. Afraid of being discovered, she hunched over and looked around, with a sinister look on her face that attracted attention.

Zheng Chengbao went to Lao Suntou to ask which hospital his sister was sent to? I borrowed the donkey cart from him, which delayed my work for a while.

When he drove the donkey cart out of the barn, he saw a sneaky figure coming out of the grain depot. When he saw the sack she was dragging, he immediately understood that this was a grain thief and shouted at her. .

 “Who? What for?”
