MTL - Serious People, Who is Learning Magic at Marvel?-v6 Chapter 18 Interlude: Convergence
"What are you going to do, Steve?"
Steve released his hand and wiped the blood on the man's collar in disgust. He took a deep breath and was about to speak when there was a cracking sound outside the window of this office, and a figure smashed through the window and flew in.
"Sam?!"
"It's me, Steve." Sam Wilson, newly dressed, stood in front of them.
With his wings tucked behind him, a streamlined uniform of pure black. The silver A letter on the chest and the two silver pulse pistols on the waist are glowing. He took off his goggles and said with a smile, "Hello, Clint."
"Damn it, man, where did you get this equipment from?"
"Tony sent it to me."
"Tony?!"
"Ha, Jarvis said he was sent back by Ho. I think it's going to be a long story again. Anyway, it's nice to see you guys."
Steve smiled heartily. He put on his helmet, and used the multi-functional arm armor on his right hand to call Frank and Rhodes in the Quinjet, intending to leave here and make another plan. At this moment, a frivolous voice squeezed into their call channel.
Tony Stark's iconic voice sounded: "How are you! Does anyone miss me?"
"Damn, Tony, is it really you? When did you come back?!" said Rhodes in shock.
"If it's a replacement, just got home. Who else has such a magnetic voice besides me? Hey, Rhodes. I heard that your armor was taken away." Tony joked with a smile in his voice. .
"Yeah...but you should have a lot there, right?" Rhode laughed twice, but got an ambiguous answer from Tony: "Ah, um... Maybe, I don't know, tsk, what is there? no?"
Rhodes laughed and spat out a phrase that started with F, and he and Tony F'd each other a dozen times in one minute.
"You sound weak." Frank's cold voice sounded out of breath on the channel.
"You're not much worse, my friend. We're about half a pound, but I've been tortured by a group of aliens for two years, so I should be worse than you."
"Your desire to win or lose is still so naive." Frank hummed and said no more.
"Where's the captain? Why didn't I hear him?" Tony asked again.
"I'm here, Tony."
"Ah, you still sound like that righteous and awe-inspiring look, how is it, Captain America, how are you doing recently?"
"No more Captain America, Tony."
"..."
There was silence in the voice channel for a while before Tony continued: "Okay, it looks like this is a long story. But we can talk slowly after we meet, I'll be at the White House soon. Hey, someone thinks after it's done. Want something to eat? My treat. Seriously, I want to die of junk food."
-------------------------------------
On the Kun-style fighter.
Tony, who had taken off his helmet, was munching on a hamburger he bought from a common cart-style food stand. He was going to save his stomach and eat it at dinner, but the burger looked really good.
At this moment, he was gobbling it down, and he solved one in two or three mouthfuls. Tony grabbed the ice-cola beside him and took a big mouthful of it without even using a straw. He didn't care about his image, although he really didn't have an image right now.
The Kree shaved off his beard and hair in order to facilitate access to his memory. Thinking of this, he touched the back of his head with some lingering fears, and the feeling that the tube was inserted in his head was not good at all. He swallowed the Coke in his mouth and said, "So..."
"So?" Rhodes asked.
"So you're not going to explain to me where you're going now?"
"You're so delicious, Tony. We can't bear to disturb you."
"Well, you really should learn how to chat, Rhodes. You haven't made much progress in all these years. Besides, Jarvis!"
Instead of the onboard AI, Jarvis' voice sounded in the cabin.
"I'm here, sir."
"Our Mr. Rhodes who lost his armor, when will his new armor arrive?"
"It is estimated that there are still two minutes, sir."
Tony spread his hands towards Rhodes: "You heard it all, I hope you haven't forgotten how to wear it. Seriously, why did so many things happen when I left?"
Frank leaned against the wall: "Where did you leave? It doesn't seem to have anything to do with your leaving. And your new hairstyle looks really funny."
Tony rolled his eyes: "If you don't speak, no one will treat you as a mute, Frank. Don't rush to discuss my hairstyle, why is your right eye missing?"
Hawkeye immediately interjected: "He said this is proof that he killed 70 people with his bare hands, do you believe it?"
Sam scratched his cheek and said hesitantly, "Uh... I still believe it."
"Hey! Sam! Did you forget who brought you the clothes on your body?" Tony immediately said angrily.
"Capitalist, do you think your armor can buy everyone off? Well, at least Wilson still has a conscience." Frank saw the needle and didn't miss any opportunity to betray Tony Stark.
"Me? Capitalist? Damn it, you can't scold me like that~www.novelbuddy.com~ Sixty percent of Stark's annual revenue goes to charity! I watched it myself!"
Steve sat in the corner, he smiled and looked at all this, watching this group of people joking with each other, just like in the old days.
He sighed lightly, and that expression was noticed by Tony. He immediately and deliberately said loudly: "Hey! Captain America! What's the matter with you? Why are you so upset?"
"...Captain America is dead, Tony." Steve said softly. His reaction made Tony frown, and the atmosphere in the cabin became weird.
"Hey, man, you gotta tell me what the **** happened. Your reaction...I mean, your reaction was unusual." He tried his witticism to cheer up the atmosphere, but the atmosphere had dropped to freezing point. Everyone's expressions became serious.
"Jack Richard is dead."
"...When did it happen?" Tony's smile disappeared.
"In a few days, Tony. He died because of me. Listen, let's talk about it later. It's a long story, and we landed."
Steve changed the subject, the Quinjet landed smoothly, the cabin door opened, and everyone saw a person who should have died long ago.
Only Tony's face became cold: "I remember you died..."
Steve said quickly, "Calm down, Tony. Bucky did die once, and he was resurrected later."
But Tony's face still didn't get better, he pointed at the long-haired man who looked like a tramp, and said, "Listen, man. You died once, so I won't bother with you about my parents again. But you don't expect me to forgive you, understand?"
The long-haired man nodded slightly.
