Chapter 609: Chapter 609: Shitty Man

Jasmine Lucas obediently came out of the bathroom and followed Faye Xavier to get the luggage.

There were three suitcases piled on the cart, although with the cart, it was not entirely helpless.

But with Faye Xavier, a guy over one meter eighty, walking beside her empty-handed and playing on his phone, and Jasmine Lucas, who was under one meter sixty, pushing a cart almost taller than herself, it inevitably made Faye seem a bit ungentlemanly.

After a lot of effort, Jasmine Lucas finally reached the parking lot. As Faye opened the car door and got in, he ordered Jasmine, "Put it in the trunk properly."

Jasmine, panting and with hands on hips, cursed at Faye sitting in the car, "What a lousy man!"

Her slender arms struggled to lift the twenty-six-inch suitcase into the trunk, clearly putting her in an awkward spot.

Julian Bishop, who had just finished a phone call, walked over, reached out, and took the suitcase from her hands, saying, "Let me do it; you get in the car first."

Jasmine looked up at Julian, smiled sweetly, and said, "Thank you, handsome."

The driver in the car also got out to help, but Jasmine hesitated for a moment by the car door, not wanting to sit with Faye, so she reached for the passenger side door.

Before she even opened it, the rear window rolled down, revealing half of Faye’s head. He said to her, "Where are you sitting? Back here."

Jasmine: "I get carsick! It’s more comfortable up front."

"Didn’t you seem to enjoy sitting in my car?"

"Even then, I was sitting in the passenger seat."

"Get over here!"

Turning her back to him, Jasmine rolled her eyes, reluctantly walked around the car, and got into the back seat.

After loading the luggage, Julian Bishop and the driver got into the car, one in front and one in back. The driver was a Frenchman, presumably a friend of Julian’s, and they conversed in French the entire ride.

Jasmine never even attended college and could barely speak a few words of English, let alone understand French. She relied on translation software during her travels.

The driver and Julian’s conversation was something she couldn’t join, and Faye, who had been on his phone ever since getting in, was smiling while chatting, probably flirting with some girl.

Jasmine attributed it to herself, her task failed, and this guy still couldn’t change his ways. She ended up getting dragged into this mess.

She had no idea how far the hotel was and still didn’t know where their destination was.

Thinking about the contact Miss Jennings gave her, Jasmine figured she should find out the address in advance and send it to that person, so they could prepare and plan to meet her.

So, Jasmine turned her head and asked Faye with a smile, "Brother Faye, which hotel are we staying at?"

Faye lifted his eyes from his phone, glanced at Jasmine, and said, "You’ll know when we get there. Why ask so much? Planning to run?"

"Being by Brother Faye’s side is what I wish for; why would I want to run? Brother Faye is handsome and such a good earner, only a fool would want to run."

Faye snorted coldly, obviously not buying Jasmine’s flattery, then lowered his head to resume his phone activity, fingers tapping away on the keyboard.

Jasmine glanced at his phone and saw that the contact’s nickname was Kiki.

The avatar was of a cute girl with pigtails, but if it was really Kiki or not, she couldn’t tell.

Jasmine thought to herself, this guy hasn’t learned his lesson; she needs to think of another plan.

Forget it for now; she should first figure out how to get out of this situation.

Seeing that she couldn’t get anything out of Faye, Jasmine slightly straightened up, tapped Julian Bishop sitting in the passenger seat, and asked sweetly, "Handsome, which hotel are we staying at?"

Julian readily replied, "Vitas."

"Thank you."

Faye shot Jasmine a sideways glance, watched her sneak a glance back after asking for the address, their eyes met for just a second, then Jasmine nonchalantly turned her gaze out the window.

After a while, seeing Faye return to his text conversation, Jasmine secretly pulled out her phone from her backpack and contacted her friend named Ed, sending him the hotel address.

Ed replied almost immediately, saying it would take him about twenty minutes to get to Vitas Hotel.

Jasmine sent him a location, and Ed analyzed it, suggesting they’d roughly arrive at the same time.

A few moments later, Ed messaged again, saying, "Stall him for a bit, and some friends from the police will help get you out safely."

Jasmine quickly replied, "No, no, no, just pretend to be hotel staff, don’t get the police involved."

Ed didn’t ask why and simply replied, "Okay, but be careful."

In this unfamiliar place, Jasmine wasn’t confident about what might happen next.

Just as she was about to put her phone away, out of the corner of her eye, she noticed a dark head suddenly leaning close to her side.

Startled, she almost dropped her phone and, flustered, stammered, "Wha-wha-what are you doing?!"

Faye chuckled, "Even now, you’ve got ’accomplices’?"

Jasmine’s heart sank; she didn’t know how much Faye had seen of her messages, worried he was just trying to trick her. She swallowed and made a desperate attempt, "Wha-what accomplices? I don’t understand what you’re talking about!"

Faye laughed again, not debating with her further. He reached over to grab Jasmine’s backpack. She quickly hugged it tight, frowning and glaring at Faye, "What are you doing?!"

Faye gritted his teeth and, purely relying on brute force, snatched the backpack from Jasmine. Without a word, he unzipped it and paused for a moment, seeing it packed with cash.

As if afraid he would take the money, Jasmine hurriedly covered the bag’s opening, weakly saying, "This... this money is all my savings!"

Faye sneered, "I never said it was the money you withdrew from my account."

He then, without fretting over the money, opened a small pocket alongside and smoothly found Jasmine’s passport and ID card, taking them out and tucking them into his own pocket before handing the backpack back to her.

Jasmine, seeing Faye’s actions, widened her eyes, "Are you insane?! Why are you taking my documents? What if I get lost without any ID, it’d be such a hassle!"

Faye casually replied, "Just stick with me, and once you pay off what you owe me, I’ll give them back to you. It’s easier to hold onto them than to constantly keep an eye on you."

Jasmine, seething with rage, clenched her fists and gritted her teeth, but could only swallow her anger.

She had no choice; she couldn’t beat him, and she wasn’t familiar with this area. She had thought about escaping, and now she couldn’t even do that.

In her career, she’d never encountered a man as infuriating as this!

Damn it, she was so mad; had she known, she would have carried some drugs with her, knocked him out again, then shaved his head, taken his nudes, tied him to a chair, and when he woke, plucked his leg hairs one by one! Let’s see if he’d behave then!
