Chapter 596: Chapter 596: Mission Accomplished

High floor of the Riverview Hotel, inside a couple’s suite, the colorful night view could be fully seen through the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows.

The girl in a spaghetti strap nightgown sat by the round bed, uninterested in the night view outside, continuously sending messages on her phone to report her current situation to someone.

From the bathroom beside her came the sound of running water, and a man could be vaguely seen taking a shower through the frosted glass.

"Swoosh——" The glass door of the bathroom was pushed open, and Faye Xavier walked out with only a towel wrapped around his lower body, water dripping all over him, a mischievous smile on his face as he walked towards Jasmine Lucas, who was sitting by the bed, saying, "Why are you still sitting here in your clothes? I thought you’d be shyly waiting for me under the covers."

Jasmine Lucas put away her phone when she heard the water stop and smiled coquettishly at Faye, saying, "It’s more ceremonial if you take my clothes off yourself."

Faye’s smile deepened: "Makes sense."

With that, he eagerly pounced on Jasmine.

Despite her small stature, Jasmine had a well-proportioned figure, with slender arms and legs, fair skin, and now wearing a burgundy camisole that was particularly enticing.

"I just had some strawberry-flavored chewing gum, no more alcohol taste, just strawberry."

Jasmine pushed the approaching Faye away, frowning: "It’s still got an alcohol smell, I can smell it."

Faye exhaled into his hand, smelled it, and said, "No, really, it’s strawberry."

Jasmine: "The alcohol mixed with strawberry, anyway, it smells weird."

"Really? Then I’ll have another couple of pieces of gum and see."

Jasmine thought for a moment and said, "Forget it, chewing more won’t cover it."

Faye hugged her, asking, "What should we do then? How about not kissing?"

Jasmine glared at him with a flushed face: "That would ruin the mood! How about this..."

Faye looked down at her, smelled her slightly damp hair, and his voice was low and ambiguous: "Hmm?"

Jasmine turned her head to avoid him, smiled at him, and said: "Let’s drink together, that way you smell like alcohol and so do I, and I won’t notice it!"

Faye raised an eyebrow: "Sounds good, drinking should make things more interesting. Can you handle your liquor?"

Jasmine got up, walked to the bar to get wine and glasses, and said: "I really can’t drink at all, a little gets me drunk."

Faye seemed to think of her drunk state, and his smile gradually turned lewd.

Jasmine poured the wine into two glasses, handed the left one to Faye, and kept the right one for herself.

Faye didn’t think much of it, holding his glass, and asked her, "How about a cross-arm drink?"

Jasmine shook her head: "We’re not married, and you haven’t said you’ll marry me, so no, drink your own."

With that, she tipped her head back and took a sip of wine from her glass.

Faye kept his eyes on Jasmine, also tipped his head back, took a big sip from his own glass, then eagerly leaned over: "Let me see if you’re drunk yet?"

Jasmine’s gaze became slightly sharper than before, and the smile on her lips seemed even more alluring, her voice still so sugary sweet it made one’s heart flutter: "Brother Faye, you’re so annoying~"

"Am I?" Faye smiled, took the glass from Jasmine’s hand, put it on the bedside table, and impatiently picked up Jasmine and placed her in the middle of the soft big bed.

Jasmine lay beneath him and didn’t struggle, instead watched Faye with a laugh, mysteriously laughing and saying: "3, 2, 1..."

A "bang" sound, and Faye’s body suddenly lost its support, flopping down on Jasmine like a puddle of mud.

Jasmine smiled satisfactorily, muttering to herself: "The drug really works."

Her voice returned to normal, no longer sweetly sounding awkwardly.

"So heavy!" Complaining, Jasmine bit her lip and with much effort, pushed Faye aside.

Calmly sitting at the bedside, she tugged at her slipping shoulder strap, picked up her phone, opened a chat page with a contact named "Miss Jennings," and sent four words: Mission completed.

Throwing the phone on the bed, she rummaged through her bag for a bank card, now no longer hiding the smile on her face, gave the card a big kiss, and giggled to herself.

After she finished laughing, she changed back into her previous clothes, stood by the bed, looking at the scumbag who had been reported by multiple "victim customers," Jasmine felt just leaving wasn’t enough.

Thinking this, she rummaged through her bag for some lipsticks, all bought for her by Faye recently. She leisurely sat on the bed, hesitated over the color, then chose one she didn’t like as much, writing two words and a large exclamation point on Faye’s back: Scumbag!

Tossing the mostly used lipstick onto the bed, she slung on her bag, stepped into her high heels, shook her still-damp long hair, and gracefully exited...

Outside the dormitory building, having just escorted Seraphina Vaughn to the door.

Audrey Sutton got out of the car, moved from the back seat to the passenger seat, closed the door, and as Shane Warner turned the car around, said: "You heard what we said to Clarissa Morgan at the banquet earlier, right?"

"Hmm? What about it?"

Audrey Sutton smiled ingratiatingly and said: "I’m now eighty-percent sure Clarissa Morgan has a murder on her back, but Brother Sterling is protecting her, even if I ask my second brother, I probably can’t investigate."

Shane Warner turned to glance at Audrey Sutton and calmly asked, "So? What are you scheming this time."

Audrey Sutton smiled and said: "Aren’t you on good terms with Brother Sterling? Arrange to have a meal with him someday, then persuade him, find an opportunity to convince him to expose Clarissa Morgan."

Shane Warner: "How to persuade?"

Audrey Sutton glared at him and said: "Didn’t you always say you’re smart? Now’s the time to show your wisdom, think of something yourself."

After a pause, Audrey Sutton meaningfully said: "Actually, it’s quite simple. I’ve told you before."

"Hmm?"

"Just let Brother Sterling know that Clarissa Morgan has been using him all along, make him give up on her, and he won’t protect her anymore. And it’s for Brother Sterling’s own good, if this really gets looked into and something more is found, Brother Sterling could be guilty of harboring a criminal, if he reports it himself, it’s different. We’re helping him!"

Shane Warner just nodded without speaking, as if he was already planning something in his mind.

After about half a minute of silence in the car, Shane Warner suddenly said: "I noticed you haven’t been drinking milk tea lately, your brain does seem to be working better than before."

"What’s it got to do with milk tea? You think I’m stupid because you don’t understand me, I’ve always been smart."

"Being smart and being cunning are two different things, don’t do things like cheating at cards anymore, it’s embarrassing if word gets out."

Audrey Sutton was taken aback, then laughed and said: "Heh heh, so you noticed, huh."
