Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure-Chapter 531 - 530: Only an Uncle
If Serena Sullivan lingered around under her nose, she feared she might lose control and act harshly toward her.
She tugged on Mr. Sterling’s sleeve, and without shutting his mouth, he lightly said, "She’s not an outsider."
She was his daughter.
"What do you mean by outsider or not? Before, yes, but now, she’s the daughter of James and me."
First Mrs. Sterling smiled and served Serena more food.
She looked at James and asked, "Isn’t that right, honey?"
"Yes, yes!" James replied three times, affirming his thoughts, "She’s my own daughter."
He smiled, genuinely pleased from the heart.
"Mom, by saying that about Serena, are you trying to deny me as your son?" James also served Serena some food and asked the elder lady.
The elder lady, seeing James and his wife so protective of Serena, dared not say more.
"Sister, have some food." Eldest Master Sterling also served Serena some food in her bowl, and Second Master Sterling stood up to serve her, too, "Sister, this part of the fish doesn’t have bones."
In no time, Serena’s bowl was piled high.
Wyatt Sterling felt a bit sour inside. Clearly, he met Serena first, so how did she become the little sister of Eldest and Second Master? He wasn’t too happy, yet he still stood up to serve Serena the shrimp closest to him.
Serena looked at the bowl, unsure where to start, and said to James and First Mrs. Sterling, "Thank you, Mom and Dad!"
"Thank you, brothers,"
She used to have a family with grandparents and Claire, just lacking a father. Now she not only had one but also gained three brothers.
This was the greatest gift the Sterling Family could give her.
However, looking at the shrimp at the top of the bowl, she picked it out.
"Wyatt, I don’t eat shrimp."
Wyatt watched her pick out the food he served and waited unhappily for Serena to explain.
"I’m allergic to shrimp."
"Are you allergic to seafood too?" James paused and asked Serena.
"No."
Serena shook her head, "Just shrimp."
Allergies have to do with one’s constitution, some are hereditary.
After she said this, the elder lady looked up at Serena.
"Grandma and my dad are also allergic to shrimp," Wyatt continued.
"Oh." Serena replied, meeting Simon Sterling’s calm gaze from across the table, and smiled, "Turns out I’m like Uncle, I don’t eat shrimp either."
The term "Uncle" sounded particularly harsh to Simon Sterling’s ears.
He looked at Serena’s radiant smile, feeling more and more torn inside.
The way Serena called him was so natural as if indirectly telling Simon she didn’t recognize him.
He could only be her uncle,
The atmosphere at dinner was fairly harmonious, and halfway through, the old master had the butler call Felicity Sterling in,
Felicity was upset and wouldn’t return to the table to eat, she was sulking with everyone, just standing in the corridor refusing to come in,
The old master didn’t insist on calling her again, leaving Felicity outside. At the dining table, they talked about many things, eventually bringing up Mindy Sterling.
As the youngest daughter of the family, Mindy was cherished, a treasure in the hands of the elder lady.
After the Sterling Family recognition banquet, Mindy had contacted Serena, "The master will be back tomorrow."
Upon meeting Mindy for the first time, Serena felt an affinity, not expecting this person to be her biological aunt.
"Mhm." The old master responded, looking at Serena again. She resembled Claire three parts, and Simon Sterling seven parts, while Wyatt was the opposite.
He wondered whether he should tell these two they were twins.
After dinner, First Mrs. Sterling guided Serena away, and when they reached uneven ground, the two brothers came out to ensure her safe passage.
