Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure-Chapter 513 - 512: Who Is That Man?
"Mr. Sterling!"
Ethan Grant took two steps forward. He didn’t understand why Serena Sullivan had become the daughter of The Sterling Family, what had happened here! However, this did not affect his love for her.
He wanted to see her, desperately wanted to see her.
"Please let me see Serena."
Speaking again, Ethan made himself perfectly clear.
Wyatt Sterling thought his father wouldn’t tell Ethan anything about Serena’s whereabouts. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
"She’s not at The Sterling Family."
"At Deepwood, at my brother’s place."
Mr. Sterling finished speaking indifferently and turned to walk inside.
"Thank you!"
Ethan, delighted, thanked him and left The Sterling Family by car.
Felicity Sterling didn’t expect Mr. Sterling to reveal Serena’s whereabouts to Ethan. She stomped her foot in frustration and entered the house, seeing Mr. Sterling standing in the courtyard, unpleasantly saying, "Dad, why did you tell him?"
Just don’t say it, it’d be best if the two of them never met.
"Whether I say it or not, the result is the same."
Ethan finding Serena was only a matter of time.
Felicity glared at Wyatt and angrily went home.
"You should go inside too." Mr. Sterling said softly, the wind outside was quite strong.
Wyatt was puzzled, looking strangely at Mr. Sterling as he walked alone to the base of a tree in the courtyard, then stood gazing at the night beyond the wall, motionless.
Did his dad come out just to tell Ethan Serena’s whereabouts?
Wyatt felt something was not right! While stepping onto the porch, he turned and saw Mr. Sterling’s back, inexplicably feeling a pang in his heart.
People said Simon Sterling and June Kane were a powerful couple, blessed with children and happiness! But Wyatt felt his father wasn’t truly happy!
Having slept in a different place, Serena Sullivan, who recognized beds, surprisingly had a good sleep.
She opened her eyes, lying in bed, somewhat disoriented.
The events of last night were vivid, Mr. Sterling’s reaction made her uncomfortable, while James Sterling’s family gave her a warm feeling.
"Nancy."
A knock sounded on the door; it was the First Mrs. Sterling.
"Come in."
With Serena’s permission, the First Mrs. Sterling pushed the door open, holding a dress, and approached the bed.
"We didn’t have clothes ready for you at home, so I just had someone buy you a set from the mall."
"I’ll accompany you to shop later."
"Thank you."
Serena didn’t know whether to call her "Aunt" or "Mom."
The First Mrs. Sterling didn’t put the clothes down nor show any intention of leaving.
"Let me help you."
The First Mrs. Sterling offered to help Serena, assuming Serena’s legs were inconvenient, so she didn’t go to the restaurant in the morning but waited at home for Serena to wake up.
"I can do it myself."
Serena refused, not wanting the First Mrs. Sterling to see her legs.
"It’s alright!"
The First Mrs. Sterling knew everyone has pride, especially a girl so beautiful in front of her.
"If you’re embarrassed, just close your eyes."
Having seen the First Mrs. Sterling’s strong and fierce side, Serena now saw her smiling gently at her.
Years ago, Claire Sullivan also spoke to her so gently.
Serena didn’t refuse again, nodding and letting the First Mrs. Sterling help her change clothes.
Once dressed, she helped Serena wash her face.
Serena laughed; her legs were disabled, but her hands were not.
"I made dumplings this morning, try them, see if they suit your taste?"
"Okay!"
After spending some time alone, they became familiar with each other.
Some people outwardly seemed to have a bad temper but actually love and hate clearly, with a soft heart underneath.
Some appeared gentle and virtuous but hid a scorpion-like sting, ready to strike others down at any time.
"Who’s that man still standing at our door!"
As the First Mrs. Sterling pushed Serena outside, James Sterling said, standing by the window.
