Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure-Chapter 484 - 483: The Old Man’s Identity
Upon hearing Dr. Mo say that this woman didn’t know when she would wake up, the old man didn’t throw her out; instead, he let out a long sigh, as if he were willing to wait a lifetime.
"I’ll wheel you out myself. Don’t put on airs like a spoiled heiress."
Leah angrily tossed the folder in her hand onto the bed and moved to fetch the wheelchair with a sullen look. Her actions were even more rough when she helped Serena Sullivan onto the wheelchair.
Serena had been treated like this by caretakers before.
Living another life, she didn’t want to wrong herself.
After taking a stroll outside, Serena returned to the ward, and the old man came again.
Seeing Serena come in, he turned to the butler beside him and said, "Go, bring the meal inside."
He then said to Serena, "You’re just recovering, so you can’t eat anything too greasy. Let’s have something light."
The dishes were brought in, and Serena thought it would just be simple porridge and side dishes, but to her surprise, dish after dish was presented, filling the whole table.
The food was light, yes, but there were so many varieties that Serena suspected it was more than just for the two of them.
"I didn’t know what you like, so I had them make everything."
The old man sat across from Serena, smiling as he attempted to serve her some food. He was quite old, and his movements weren’t very agile. Leah, who didn’t show Serena any good favors, hurried forward to assist.
She had completely different faces for Serena and the old man, clearly trying to curry favor with him.
The old man was of such an age, what did he need a little girl to try to flatter him for!
"Old man, is it true your grandson isn’t married?"
After finishing her porridge, Serena looked at the old man watching her and asked.
The old man laughed, "How did you know?"
"I have three grandsons and one granddaughter, none of whom are married."
He then seemed to recall something and shook his head, saying, "You shouldn’t have any designs on them, that’s not appropriate!"
Serena was taken aback, finding the old man’s words quite amusing.
"I think the little nurse here seems very interested in your grandson."
She just went out for a walk and discovered that it wasn’t a hospital here, and she was the only patient.
In such a vast estate, being the only patient, it seemed like private grounds.
The old man held a smiling face for her, but it was clear he was the kind of person usually held in high regard, exuding an extraordinary aura.
Such a wealthy and influential person naturally attracted people eager to ingratiate themselves.
Given his age, his son would likely be in their forties or fifties, but as for his grandson?
"Which nurse?"
The old man frowned, looking at the pretty young nurses beside him. Serena definitely wasn’t making idle chatter.
"Did they bully you?"
A very astute old man deduced the truth from just one sentence spoken by Serena.
Beside them, Leah trembled as she listened and retreated in alarm and anger, glaring at Serena, who apparently liked to tattle?
"Yes!"
Serena responded, "Please find me a new nurse. I don’t like having to see people’s expressions, let alone being pinched or hit!"
"What!"
The old man angrily shouted, his kind face immediately turning cold, glaring heavily at Leah behind him.
How dare someone bully Serena right under his nose!
"Uncle Lowell, get her out of the estate and inform any business associate..."
The old man paused, glanced at Serena, who showed no visible reaction, and continued, "And inform any company doing business with us not to hire her."
It wasn’t just hospitals, but also shopping malls and hotels—this effectively blacklisted her, expelling her from the Imperial Capital.
"Old man!"
Leah shouted loudly, pleading with Serena, but Serena ignored her, watching as she was taken away.
"I’ll arrange someone to care for you anew,"
the old man said firmly, "This time, no one will dare to bully you."
"No need, please have someone send me back to Solaria!"
