Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure-Chapter 481 - 480: Serena Sullivan’s Whereabouts
Julian Ford did not beat around the bush and directly said, "We’ve compared the DNA from the body and Claire Sullivan, proving that person isn’t Serena Sullivan."
As soon as he got the report, he immediately called Ethan Grant.
Upon hearing Julian Ford’s words, Ethan Grant’s lips pressed together, and the stone weighing on his chest lightened a bit, "Hmm, thank you!"
As long as it’s not Serena!
"We’ve been searching for so long; perhaps Serena isn’t even in the sea."
It’s also possible she drifted to a place further away.
Julian Ford opted for comforting words, as everyone could see Ethan Grant’s obsession with Serena.
If the body found today had truly been Serena’s, Ethan Grant might have jumped from Willow Yarrow’s building.
When it comes to love, Ethan Grant is too extreme.
All these years, only Serena could suppress the aggression within him, making him happy and joyful.
"Hmm."
Ethan Grant replied, "Julian, I’m a bit tired."
Julian Ford, hearing that Ethan was tired, ended the call as Ethan, crouched on the ground, lifted his head to look out the window. It was cold, the wind was chilly.
He only now felt the pain in his feet, and took out a cigarette from his pocket, leaning against the wall to smoke, "Serena, where are you?"
No, he couldn’t smoke anymore; he needed to rest.
Turning his thoughts, Ethan extinguished the cigarette in his hand, closed his eyes, and forced himself to sleep for a while.
Only when he regained his energy could he have the strength to find Serena.
However, after searching for three months, Ethan Grant still hadn’t found Serena; they all knew that either Serena was gone or she had already left Solaria.
So, in Solaria, no matter how they searched, it was impossible to find her whereabouts.
Three months later
At a private retreat outside the Imperial Capital.
The place was beautifully constructed, with even more exquisite landscaping, and Serena Sullivan hazily heard someone talking by her ear.
"No one can see what capabilities this woman has to make the old man value her so much!"
"Because she’s pretty!"
"Pretty?" A disdainful voice came again, followed by Serena feeling someone slapping her cheek.
"Leah, what are you doing? If the old man finds out, he’ll kick you out!"
"A useless person, who knows when she’ll wake up! Even if I pinch her black and blue, no one will know."
As the words were spoken, Serena truly felt someone viciously pinching her waist. The pain surged, she desperately tried to open her eyes but couldn’t.
After a while, the voices of the women grew fainter, and it seemed they left.
Serena drifted back to sleep, not knowing how long until the sound of a door opening woke her again.
This time, Serena saw.
In the bright world, she saw a stern face, his fingers resting on her eyelids.
It wasn’t Serena opening her own eyes; it was this man who opened them.
The unfamiliar environment and the strange man left Serena bewildered.
"Oh, awake."
The man said in a flat voice, "Go, call the old man over."
After he finished speaking, Serena’s eyelids closed again, and soon, the noise around her increased, making it impossible for her to sleep, forcing her to open her eyes once more.
Now, standing by the bed was an old man with white hair, leaving Serena even more bewildered.
Had she blinked and opened her eyes to find fifty years had passed, and the stern man had become an old man!
"You’re awake!"
The old man warmly smiled at Serena, his happiness sending a wave of warmth through her heart as she thought of her grandfather.
