Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure-Chapter 472 - 471: Punching the Father-in-law
This private island belongs to The Sterling Family. Under normal circumstances, the security measures are adequate, and given the family’s influence and reputation, no one dares to plot against them.
In the surveillance room, Mr. Sterling and Ethan Grant were watching the video on the screen with serious expressions.
They saw a masked maid wheeling Serena Sullivan out of the room.
The maid then avoided the surveillance and wheeled Serena all the way to the beach.
However, the beach surveillance had not been working for a while. Since the old man hadn’t visited, it hadn’t been repaired. Due to this reason, no one knew what happened by the seashore.
"Investigate!"
After watching the surveillance, Mr. Sterling uttered the word coldly.
He hadn’t expected anything to happen to Serena right under his nose!
And it wasn’t a small matter! The vast ocean... if she fell in and was swept away by the waves... 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
Mr. Sterling’s eyes turned red, and he dared not think any further.
The butler led the staff to question all the maids, and quickly, all suspicions were focused on one maid.
The maid’s height matched that in the surveillance footage. She was thrown in front of Mr. Sterling and Ethan Grant, and due to her emotional turmoil, she started coughing repeatedly.
"Sir, I’m sorry, it’s all my fault."
The maid knelt on the ground and honestly confessed everything.
She checked on Miss Serena’s condition, and Miss Serena said she wanted to go out for a walk.
Because she was new here, she didn’t know where to go and ended up on a path leading to the woods.
She didn’t pay attention to whether there were surveillance cameras along the way.
When they reached the beach, Miss Serena said it was cold by the sea and asked her to go back to get a blanket.
Upon returning, she found the wheelchair toppled over on the sand, and Miss Serena had disappeared.
Afraid of being blamed by Mr. Sterling, she didn’t dare say anything.
"Mr. Sterling, it’s my fault."
What she said sounded complete, but Ethan Grant thought this wasn’t what he wanted to hear.
"You mean she threw herself into the sea."
Ethan Grant spoke coldly. The maid glanced at the silent Mr. Sterling and continued tearfully, "It’s possible."
"Miss Serena said she didn’t want to live anymore."
This answer!
Ethan Grant’s expression changed; Serena had left Solaria to avoid surgery, implying she didn’t want to live anymore.
However...
He refused to accept this fact.
"She wouldn’t commit suicide!"
Ethan Grant stood up, his face stern, replying icily.
He stepped forward, striding towards the door. The wind rushed in, the scent of the sea filling his nostrils, causing Ethan Grant to abruptly stop his steps, and then...
Everyone thought Ethan Grant would leave after watching the surveillance.
But unexpectedly, he suddenly turned around, quickly advancing towards Mr. Sterling, swinging his fist to punch him.
Mr. Sterling, engrossed in Serena’s situation, didn’t notice Ethan until he was hit by Ethan’s punch.
"Sir!"
The Sterling Family’s staff snapped out of the scene of Ethan hitting, quickly stepping in to block Ethan’s attack.
Blocked, Ethan didn’t hit anymore.
He stared coldly at Mr. Sterling, whose face had turned pale, and curled his lips into a cold smile.
"Mr. Sterling, if anything happens to Serena, I, Ethan Grant, will be The Sterling Family’s enemy to the end!"
His voice was neither loud nor soft, but chillingly sharp and grating.
The Sterling Family’s staff saw Ethan being so arrogant on their turf and prepared to act against him.
Ethan had only brought two people, while there were at least a dozen of them.
"Stop!"
Mr. Sterling, enduring the pain, looked seriously at Ethan Grant, "I will find Serena."
As Serena Sullivan’s biological father, with her life and death uncertain, Mr. Sterling’s pain was no less than Ethan’s.
However, being punched by Ethan, as an elder, it was somewhat unsettling for him regardless.
