Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure-Chapter 447 - 446: If Worst Comes to Worst, I’ll Go With Her
For Serena Sullivan, this surgery doesn’t hold any three percent chance of hope, it should be just one percent.
"I know."
Ethan Grant responded, his voice firm. "Even if there’s only a zero percent chance, she has to be treated."
"I still want to spend the rest of my life with her."
"If she can’t wake up," Ethan said, pressing his lips together with a blissful smile, "then I’ll just go and be with her!"
"Alright!"
Since Ethan has spoken so resolutely, Finn Chandler followed his suggestion.
She also hopes Serena can be cured!
Ethan and Finn reached an agreement and returned to the ward one after another.
Inside the ward, Serena had already woken up, and Aunt Anne was helping her drink water.
"Serena."
Finn entered and greeted Serena first.
"Are you okay?"
Serena shook her head, smiling as she replied, "No," just as she finished, she saw Ethan coming in.
The two of them exchanged glances, Ethan’s face looked calm, seeming somewhat angry.
Finn sat by the bed, looking at the wound on Serena’s neck, "Luckily, it was a shallow cut."
"Hmm."
"Joel Quinn is in the police station, and he can’t possibly be released again."
Ethan chimed in from the doorway, his voice cold.
"Yes."
Finn continued from Ethan, saying, "People like him deserve to stay in prison for life."
"To be so heavy-handed with Serena!"
Finn and Ethan were exchanging words, not noticing Serena’s gaze lingering on the two of them.
"Serena, I have some things to take care of, you two can chat."
After Ethan finished speaking, he glanced at Finn before turning to leave.
Serena watched him open the door and go out, while Finn held her hand.
"Serena, do you still want to leave?"
"Yes!"
Serena looked at the door of the ward, she replied.
"Then I’ll talk to Ethan later, and we’ll take you out for dinner."
"Then we’ll slip away."
"Alright!" Serena responded with a light laugh. She was close to Finn, and when the wind blew in through the window, Serena could smell the scent of smoke.
"Finn, cut back on the smoking, it’s bad for your health."
Finn was momentarily stunned, concerned about Serena’s condition, she had forgotten to change her clothes and carried a strong tobacco scent.
It’s all Ethan’s fault, smoking in front of her, though fortunately, she was also someone who smoked.
"I know."
Finn smiled as she replied, "I don’t smoke much, just occasionally at business meetings."
There’s no choice; Finn’s role isn’t easy.
At everyday banquets, the other party will surely offer her cigarettes, and even if she doesn’t smoke, for the sake of The Chambers Family’s business, she would still smoke.
"Serena, I only smoked when meeting a guest on my way here."
Finn explained again.
Serena smiled, seeming not to have listened, and changed the topic.
"How is Claire Sullivan?"
"Has she woken up?"
"Not too sure."
Finn was called away by Ethan upon arriving, and after they finished their discussions, she came straight to see Serena.
She hadn’t inquired about Claire’s situation.
"She finally showed some conscience."
Finn gently said to Serena, noting that if not for Claire, Serena might have died at Joel Quinn’s hands.
Finn heard that it was Claire who hugged Joel’s leg and called the servants inside.
"Hmm!"
Serena responded softly, also surprised by Claire’s willingness to risk her life to save her.
"Accompany me to see her."
Serena said again.
Finn didn’t refuse, and together with Aunt Anne, they lifted Serena to a wheelchair and headed to Claire’s ward.
Claire was injured worse than Serena; at the moment she rushed ahead, she really didn’t think twice.
