Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure-Chapter 435 - 434: Going to the Sullivan Residence
One cannot waste their entire life for another person.
Serena Sullivan is a very stubborn person; once she has made up her mind, she won’t easily change it.
In fact, she is also a cold-hearted person.
After finishing the call with Finn Chandler, Serena sat at the window with her phone for quite a while.
The wind blew in, cooling her and waking her up, yet her mind was still hazy. That’s how she was now; no matter how much the outside world changed, she could fall asleep at any moment.
Leaving Solaria, leaving Ethan Grant, was inevitable.
However, before leaving, she thought of going to one place.
The Sullivan Residence!
That was where Serena grew up; all of her memories began there.
Her family, her grandparents, her mother all accompanied her growing up at The Sullivan Residence.
Although in the end, Claire Sullivan married Joel Quinn, and their beautiful life turned terrible, even though Serena lost her legs and had no future, she still wanted to go back and see it one last time.
She mentioned it to Sister Ann, who immediately accompanied her there.
Yaya had things to attend to these past two days and had asked Ethan Grant for leave.
This was with Serena’s consent; if Yaya was present, once Ethan noticed anything unusual, she might not be able to leave.
But with Yaya not around, it posed significant danger to Serena, given her inconvenience.
Sister Ann and the driver brought Serena back, and Mama Chen came out to escort her in.
"Miss Serena, how come you’ve come?"
Mama Chen thought Serena was there to see Claire Sullivan and asked with a smile.
"I came to see Grandpa."
Serena replied, intending to visit The Sullivan Residence, to see Grandpa.
As for Claire, she didn’t have much desire to see her.
"I’ll inform Miss Claire."
Mama Chen said with a smile, regardless of what, seeing Serena come brought joy to both Claire and Serena.
Mother and daughter, no matter how fierce their disputes had been, their relationship couldn’t be severed.
Blood ties, and they were each other’s only family.
Serena didn’t stop her, as even if Mama Chen didn’t mention it, the other servants would inform Claire.
Serena went directly to Grandpa’s quarters, which had been empty since Old Master Sullivan passed away.
In just over a month, this place had become much more desolate.
Serena asked Sister Ann to wait outside while she stayed inside for a moment.
Before leaving, she had much to say to Old Master Sullivan.
The room inside was very clean; the servants must be visiting regularly.
Once Serena entered, she immediately saw Old Master’s portrait hanging on the wall—her tears were uncontrollable and rolled out.
"Grandpa!"
Serena called out with tears, "I’ve come to say goodbye."
"No!"
"We will meet soon."
She would soon join Grandpa underground.
After saying that, Serena fell silent; she had too much to say but now didn’t know what to tell Old Master Sullivan.
Just like that, she sat quietly here in her wheelchair.
Pushing her chair, she entered Old Master’s bedroom, her emotions extremely complex.
"Serena!"
Claire’s voice followed, each step of her high heels pounding in Serena’s heart.
Serena turned around, seeing Claire smiling at her.
"Serena, you’ve come."
Claire was both excited and nervous; she didn’t really expect Serena to come to The Sullivan Residence.
"I’ve come to see Grandpa."
Serena said indifferently.
Claire nodded. Regardless of whom Serena came to see, being able to see her made Claire very happy.
"Serena, let’s go to the front hall to talk; it’s too cold here at Grandpa’s."
