Mr. CEO's Substitute Bride-Chapter 861 - 857: Tingting, Come Home with Me
"Ah... No, I’ll do it myself, I’ll do it myself," Mia Foster hurriedly grabbed Felix Shaw’s hand from her waist, blocking with one hand and stepping back.
Seeing Mia Foster’s defensive and nervous look, Felix Shaw teased with a smile, "Actually, I’m more than happy to help."
"Get lost!"
Shouting out a single word, Felix Shaw saw Mia Foster’s cheeks flush slightly, and he stopped teasing, smiling as he walked out of the room. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
"Pervert," Mia Foster muttered discontentedly as she looked at the door. After changing into a pair of dress pants, she walked out of the room. At the door, seeing her come out, Felix Shaw offered his arm like a gentleman.
"Childish!" Mia Foster threw him a disdainful glance and directly headed towards the stairs.
Felix Shaw shook his head helplessly and followed her.
In the romantic Western restaurant, the guests were quietly eating their food. Felix Shaw and Mia Foster sat facing each other. Felix Shaw put down his knife and fork, cradling a wine glass, "Mia, today is our first New Year together,"
Mia Foster was busy cutting her steak and looked up in confusion when Felix Shaw said this. January 1st was not considered the New Year either domestically or abroad. As she was feeling disdainful, Felix Shaw continued, "I know today isn’t officially New Year, but..." Felix paused, looking at Mia Foster and pursed his lips, "I can’t fly over to be with you during the Lunar New Year, so let’s consider today as New Year,"
Mia Foster also put down the knife and fork, picked up a napkin to wipe the corner of her mouth. Felix Shaw’s words stirred her feelings, bringing an indescribable mix of sadness and gratitude that made her heart tumultuous and uncomfortable.
"Mia, I hope after today, our past can turn a new page just like today, welcoming a brand new future. I hope I can be by your side during every holiday from now on."
Felix Shaw held the wine glass, looking at Mia Foster, his expression serious.
Putting down the napkin, Mia Foster also picked up the wine glass and clinked it with Felix Shaw’s, seeming a bit unwilling. After clinking, she muttered, "It’s only been two months, and you expect to win me over? It’s not that easy."
Felix Shaw took a deep breath and looked helplessly at the woman across from him, "I know, Miss Mia Foster has many suitors surrounding her, and I am just one of them. It’s already hard enough for you to give me a chance to pursue you, so I will definitely seize this opportunity and perform well."
Every time Felix Shaw flew abroad, he would entangle himself at the office’s front door until Mia Foster agreed to give him a chance, allowing him to pursue her like a man pursuing a woman. If he managed to move her, they would get back together.
"At least you have some self-awareness." Mia Foster smugly curled her lips, tilting her head as she took a sip of red wine.
The lighting in the Western restaurant was different from that of domestic Chinese restaurants. Large crystal chandeliers hung from the ceiling, illuminating every corner of the restaurant so brightly that not even a tiny insect could hide.
The Western restaurant was different; dim lighting akin to candlelight created a romantic atmosphere in a subtle way.
In the dim light, the woman slightly raised her head, her profile full and beautiful. Her lashes curled, and her small nose was like a camel’s hump, her two pink lips gently parted. As the dark red liquid flowed in, her lips looked even more tempting, and even her chin slightly jutted like a small ingot.
Felix Shaw was a bit entranced by the view; it turned out his wife was so beautiful, yet he had been blind to it.
"Mia, come home with me," Felix Shaw said casually, holding that glass of red wine, his peach blossom eyes appearing especially deep and mesmerizing in the dim light.
