Chapter 847: Chapter 843: Thick-Skinned and Persistent

Shifting her gaze away, Mia Foster glanced at Felix Shaw with a smirk, "Are you sure you saw it?" Or are you just making excuses to sneak in? 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖

Felix Shaw...

Turning back to meet Mia Foster’s obviously skeptical eyes, he raised his fingers and solemnly said, "I swear to God, I really saw it. If I’m lying, then I’ll!"

At this point, Felix Shaw stopped. He’d never sworn to anyone before, so he didn’t know what to say next.

Staring at him, Mia Foster raised an eyebrow, "Then what?"

"Then I’ll..." Felix Shaw thought for a long time before coming up with a harsh vow, "If I’m lying to you, I will punish myself by making sure you’ll never forgive me for life!"

"Hmph!" Mia Foster sneered and glanced at him with disdain, "Whether you’re lying or not, I won’t forgive you for life!"

With that said, she crossed her arms and walked towards the door of the room.

"Mia!" Felix Shaw shouted from the window, "Why can’t you give me a chance?"

After walking out of the room, Mia Foster pursed her lips in disdain and muttered to herself, "Such low emotional intelligence!"

Mia Foster called the police. After a flurry of activity, she watched as the police took away two crocodiles from the lake. A bit of fear lingered in her heart. She liked sitting on the lawn to watch the distant scenery when she was bored. Thankfully, the crocodiles hadn’t appeared a few days earlier.

"Alright, it’s safe now. You can leave." After the police took the crocodiles away, Mia Foster opened her room door, looked at the man sitting in her house, and bluntly told him to leave.

Felix Shaw got up from the sofa, walked over, and grasped Mia Foster’s hand, saying dejectedly, "Mia..."

She turned her face towards the door, unmoved.

"Mia~" The twenty-seven-year-old man started whining, sending a shiver down Mia Foster’s spine. Suddenly, she turned her face back and said sternly, "Felix Shaw! Speak properly!"

"Mia, dear Mia," Felix Shaw could clearly see her body tremble a little when he whined just now. Noticing this tactic was effective, he continued to whine while shaking Mia Foster’s arm, "Don’t kick me out. What if there are more crocodiles?"

A handsome, mature man, shaking someone’s arm and pouting like a child begging for candy, the sight was somewhat eye-popping.

Mia Foster...

She looked at the man in front of her, who’s still pouting, with frustration, and shouted unhappily, "Even if there were crocodiles, I wouldn’t be afraid. I’d just lock all the doors, and they wouldn’t crawl in through the pipes!"

Felix Shaw snorted, muttering quietly, "It’s only because you wouldn’t let me in. Otherwise, who would want to climb the pipes and get all dusty, and not even help me take a bath."

"You’re not my son, why should I help you take a bath!"

In a fit of anger, an unguarded remark spilled out of Mia Foster’s mouth. Only after saying it did she realize the awkwardness. Felix Shaw was first stunned, then he laughed happily, his peach blossom eyes curving into crescents.

"If you want to treat me like a son, I’d be happy to oblige," saying this, he shook Mia Foster’s hand again in a deliberately high-pitched voice, "Mommy Mia, I’m hungry, go make dinner..."

Mia Foster...

She really didn’t expect Felix Shaw’s skin to be this thick and difficult. Her face grew a bit warm as she impatiently slapped his hand away and turned her face towards the door, "Leave quickly, I need to rest."

"Mommy Mia, I’m hungry. If you don’t make dinner, I’ll nibble on your clothes..." As he spoke, Felix Shaw’s handsome face moved closer, aiming directly at the neckline of Mia Foster’s round nightgown.
