Mr. CEO's Substitute Bride-Chapter 830 - 826: Forcing His Father to Step Down
At the shareholders’ meeting, Felix Shaw spread out the documents of the shares he held in front of the shareholders. Since Nicholas Croft and others had transferred their shares to him, he was now the largest shareholder of Hutton Corporation.
"Felix, what do you mean by this?" An old shareholder put the document on the table and looked at Felix Shaw with a casual inquiry.
Felix Shaw smiled and reached out to take the documents, placing them in front of him. "Isn’t the meaning quite obvious?" As he spoke, he raised his gaze to scan everyone, "If I’m not mistaken, isn’t the person with the most company shares supposed to be the leader?"
In the president’s seat, Oliver Shaw narrowed his eyes and glared at his son, though he said nothing, his face was clearly filled with rage. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂
The shareholder turned to Oliver Shaw, "Oliver, do you want to give your position to Felix?"
Retracting his gaze, Oliver Shaw turned to the shareholder, "I didn’t say that."
"Dad, you won’t be thinking of violating the company’s regulations, will you?" Felix Shaw leaned lazily in the chair, looking quite improper.
"Felix, how can you do this? He’s your father!" Vanessa Armstrong said righteously, but was immediately rebuked by Felix Shaw.
"Miss Armstrong, we are discussing work now. Family dramas should be dealt with behind closed doors at home!"
"Husband, look at him!" Vanessa Armstrong turned to Oliver Shaw to complain, only to be met with Felix Shaw’s mockery, "Ha, when did the shareholders’ meeting of Hutton become a place for sentimental drama? Am I outdated or is someone not following company regulations?"
Although Vanessa Armstrong is now the president’s wife, her flaunting around the company with her pregnancy has aroused discontent among many people. She visited different departments without reason, requiring an assistant to support her as she walked, acting like Empress Dowager Cixi, and pointed out employees she didn’t like.
Now, she coquetted in front of so many shareholders, which resulted in public anger. A group of shareholders turned their gaze to her, showing displeasure. One directly and bluntly said, "Oliver, since Madam is pregnant, it’s better for her not to attend such meetings in the future, lest emotions run high and affect the baby."
Oliver Shaw’s face was somewhat embarrassed. He already felt bad because the heir was trying to usurp him, and now Vanessa Armstrong was making a scene without regard for place or occasion. He cast a cold glance, causing Vanessa Armstrong to snort discontentedly and turn her face away.
The shareholders’ meeting resumed, and although Felix Shaw held shares surpassing his father, some shareholders were worried that if the company were managed by him, the future development would not be as good as before. Oliver Shaw sat in his position, always silent, with a frowning face appearing to be deep in thought. As the morning passed and shareholders continued debating, Oliver Shaw finally spoke, "Everyone, let’s leave it at this for today. We will discuss again in the next meeting."
After speaking, he got up and walked towards the meeting room door, "Felix, come to my office."
Picking up the documents, Felix Shaw also got up. Watching the father and son leave one after another, the shareholders shook their heads and sighed. After sighing, their gaze turned to Vanessa Armstrong, one of the older shareholders stood up, leaving behind an unhappy "Beauty causes trouble!" before storming off.
Entering his father’s office, Felix Shaw came over and sat on the chair in front of the desk, with slightly upturned lips and a tilted head, glancing at his father opposite.
